Reports Terrance Hardy has served time for assault with a deadly weapon, he is suspected of violent incidents at three oakland libraries last week. Again, Oakland Police have confirmed that this man, hardy is in custody tonight. In the meantime, theres questions why police took 15 minutes to get the to a young boy. A doctor made the 911 call 11 30 friday, saying that his son was barely conscious and bleeding from the nose. At the time, the closest ambulance was across town, 15 others in the city were already on calls. Heres the timeline provided by the San Francisco Fire Department. The first Police Officer arrived 1 30, and firefighters 2 30 after the initial call and the ambulance, 15 minutes after the call. Was it a statue . Yeah, a dolphin statue fell on his head. Do you feel a quicker time would have made a difference . It hard to say. Despite the efforts on everyone involved, our trauma surgeons were not able to repair this boys injuries. The boy died from internal injuries to his abdomen. They keep commenting that the hospital and Police Department and how amazing everyone was to come to their aid. Earlier this week, his uncle said everyone was grateful for the response and the help they received after the accident. The uncle tolds that the family would have no comment on the time it took for the ambulance to arrive. Norad has confirmed that Russian Strategic bombers came within 15 miles of the pacific coast. They were practicing bombing runs near alaska. Two of the bombers turned back and the other two flew toward toward california. They were intercepted and the russians headed west. Norad spokesman, jeff davis said the aircraft acted professionally. 15 bombers have been intercepted near u. S. Air defense zones but acknowledged that mondays flight here california so close was unusual. Some developing news in berkley, where two people were shot in a parking lot, it happened four 30 this afternoon. Police say they received multiple 911 calls about shots fired in the area. His father, oscar grant, jr. , is suing him charging that has been deprived of a familial relationship with his son. He was looking forward to seeing his son and developing those a greater relationship and to seeing him in the future. Grant was in court today at the plaintiffs table with two state Corrections Officers sitting behind him. He was transported from a prison, where he is serving a life sentence for murder t the dramatic moment of the day came when the attorney showed the cell phone video of the shooting. He never looked up. As it was playing. It was not until the afternoon when he finally took the stand. Plaintiffs carefully led him through a litany of questions about his career, his training and eventually to the night of the shooting. But his main line of questioning had to do with whether it was intended to shoot grant. He drew his firearm because he thought mistakenly thought that oscar grant had a gun. You do not bring a taser out to defend yourself when you are presented with a gun. His lawyers claim that caldwells civil ryes were invoi violated in that he was detained unlawfully. The archbishop of San Francisco is taking heat from several politicians for attending an event that is being organized by a antigay hate crew. A letter was sent to the archbishop in which they urge him not to attend a rally that was organized by the National Organization for marriage. The group publishes material that connects homosexuality with pedophilia. It has extreme views and accusations that really would cause even a wider rift. Mayor lee said that the Catholic Church should move to unite people on samesex marriage. The archbishop helped to raise money for prop8 that tried to ban gay marriage in california t state is ordering on demand right services to stop operating at aprils. The new restriction is a result of complaints from the director of sfo that the drivers are operating without an airport permit.
