>>reporter: we just got an update from tempe police. they tell us the 2-year-old twins, a boy and girl, are being treated here and in very serious conditions -- condition and it sounds like progress because firefighters tell us when they got here they were still doing c pr on the twins, not breathing on their own at that point. it happened sometime around 11:00 in the morning. police say both parents were home at the time, but at some point the toddlers got out of the home, into their backyard and into the hot tub thation around it. >> we heard it once, we've heard it hundreds of times. it only takes a few siksdz of in it -- in attention. toddlers are very very mobile and they will find a way out into the yard. >>reporter: and it's not known exactly how long the twins were under water. police tell us that right now they are still at the scene investigating and the parents are being cooperative. but right now as the toddlers are being treated at this this a horrible accident, kim. >> absolutely. thank you so much. keep us updated. sadly this is just the latest drowning involving hot tubs. earlier last month a t wo-year- old girl died after she was pulled from a hot tub at kairve creek -- cave creek. in april a 20-year-old drowned in tucson at a hut to be there and a child almost drowned at a scottsdale hot tub in march. the rules for hot tubs is the same as pools. you need to barrier. we're going to is -- have more tonight at 10:00. we now know the name of the man who drowned at the salt river. deputies say 28-year-old of chandler died there. he was struggling in that watter -- water near gold tree on the lower part of the salt river yesterday. detectives say he was under water for maybe about 4-5 minutes before he was pulled o ut. people started cpr but it was too late. he died there at the scene. he's only talking now to abc15. vacation saying he was pulled over with a gun pointed at him. his 7-year-old daughter sitting right in the back seat and dps responded to this manned social media post saying they're not the ones to blame. megan thompson joining us lieferg -- live. what are they telling you. >>reporter: kim, both sides are definitely agreeing this is a scary situation. ken wawlts on, he was traveling on a road trip to the grand canyon, he social media to talk about an experience he had with dps that he said left him shaking. ken walton said he knew he didn't do anything wrong. so when he saw the flashing red and blue lights in his rear view mirror he didn't think too much of it >> he -- we knew we were doaght -- doing anything wrong. >> but a trooper thought he was driving a stolen vehicle, apparently reported that way by the rental car company. rolled down hers and there he was right in front of us. >> after fumbling with the window crows -- controls of a unfamiliar car he was directed out of the vehicle. >> i was tear fied, triefg to move slowly and out of the blue he just said get your hands away from your wasted or i will blow two holes through your back. >> the trooper only said that because walton reached for his waste band. a claim walton said never happen protocol during a high risk stop since this vehicle was reported stolen. >> most of our traffic stops, we don't know if we pulled over mr. and mrs. diswroans who are just on vacation or we pulled over a guy who just purded -- murdered his wife. >> if anybody should be to blame here dps says it's the rental car company, not them. >> we still had a good time. i don't know if i'll be coming back to arizona any time soon i'm sorry to say. shell-shocked. >>reporter: and we did reach out to that rental company for comment. we have not heard back. but walton said he will be reaching out to him again. he wants to talk to them about if he -- they sent him out with an apparent stolen vehicle. >> thanks sovment -- so much. buckeye police saying a -- the search for a 10-year-old buckeye boy could turn into a recovery operation smg . detectives said the possible change in they said there is still hope to find jesse wilson alive. they said they're no longer using volunteers because of the possible body recovery that would happen. stopping is not an option for police detectives, ncso and fbi. jesse went missing four weeks ago today. >> and we're still waiting to hear the conditions of a woman found shot in west fine ex -- phoenix. it happened near 10e 7th avenue and indian school. he's still on the loose call phoenix police. on -- a k # is expected to be okay after it was hurt during a swat situation. deputies were called near university and chris maft. after a 2-hour standoff, officers used tier gas and rubber bullets to get this man into custody. his name has not been released. the k9 marco, was attacked by dogs inside that home. we're told at 106 last check. no rain here in the forecast for us. we'll stay dry tonight. still tracking a few thunderstorms across that higher terrain. we were talking about that yesterday. abc15 doppler radar not showing any showers or thunderstorms out across the valley. producing some lightning strikes and moving into young. it will not be moving into the valley. and we've also had a couple of pop-up showers and thunderstorms but that is it. it is pretty quiet state wide and this trend will continue, at least for the next couple of days. we'll be bringing those shower and thunderstorms back, and we'll see a drop in our highs, but first tomorrow we're going to be up to 109 after we bottom out tonight at 86. we'll keep clear skies, light winds right into that monday glendale and good year going of those afternoon thunderstorms along the rim and potentially into the people a county but over all next couple of days looking very dry. that's when we'll see very isolated thunderstorm chances coming back. that will happen against -- wednesday and 20% chance of thunderstorms into friday and however in northern arizona and hire terrain there's a slight chance for next several days with increasing chances towards the end of the week. least for the next couple of days. topping out at 109 monday so slightly above average highs. we're not looking at records. that average high 105, monday and tuesday expected to hit 109. we'll see a slight drop in those highs on wednesday and a little mit -- more cloud cover to the mix. although wednesday is looking mostly dry. that's when we have that very isolated thunderstorm chance. we're starting to go down into that downward trend of 104. here's a lot of dry over south central arizona into the valley. that's where we have that tan color. the more moist air well out to the east right now. that's where we have shower and thunderstorms. that's what the green color is indicating so as far as showers and thunderstorms today, very limited across arizona. a couple of spotty storms and a couple through the white mountains moving to the south. that's about it as you look at the satellite radar. and if you look at current dewpoints, 20s north and 40s along the rim and we're not we have dewpoints sitting in the 50s but not a lot happening to bring us any shower or thunderstorm happening tonight. upper 8 oz at the grand canyon. bullhead city 110. in quarts sight lows tonight 8 0s west. upper 60s in globe, 75 at tuesday on tonight -- teuz on tonight and 50s. tomorrow morning waking up at 52 at grand canyon. 81 monday
