tomorrow but for now we can tell you the girls are four and five years old. detectives say their father killed them and then took his own life. before the tragedy we're learning the girls' mother called police worried about her in mesa linked to a deadly shooting outside a valley gas station. police say the 18-year-old is accused of killing a 35-year- old back on september 25th near hayden and mckellips. police say they are confident this is the only suspect. a second life is on the line tonight after a deadly crash in the valley. a man and woman riding a motorcycle were hit by a truck pulling a trailer. they were on 48th street between southern and broadway. the man didn't make it. the woman is in the ho right now and we're told she's in pretty rough shape. we're getting our first images from the scene as we track a gas leak. we're told crews have been given the all clear at this apartment complex near 27th and indian school. 30 people were evacuated. no major injuries. one worker suffered some minor flash burn. the department of justice has now filed its proposed criminal contempt charges mary ellen, you just finished speaking with sheriff arpaio's attorney. what's his response to all of this? >> reporter: well, they have some objections in regards to this order to show cause. this is what the d.o.j. actually filed today. it's would federal court judge susan bolton tonight as drenching rains helped crews in nevada get the upper hand at a wildfire. it is now 55% contained. a state of emergency was declared friday. 23 homes have burned in all. the fire has charred 3400 akers between reno and carson city. crews hope to have it fully contained by wednesday. we're also on wildfire watch in colorado. take a look at that smoke this coming from a fire in southern part of that state. it is already burned more than 13,000 akers in custer county. evacuation orders are in effect for hundreds of families. right now it is unclear how that fire started. back here will see breezes again across northern arizona coming up tomorrow. now, valley winds tonight will be light, and even across the high country those winds will let up just a little bit. but tomorrow, southwesterly direction, maybe a couple of breezies here across the phoenix metro near 1 hour, but it's the high country that will see those gusts, not quite as strong as today, but between 25 and 30 miles per hour. so a quiet forecast for us. high pressure is still sitting on top of us, and that means that the futurecast keeps all of those showers and thunderstorms, all of those storm systems
