now still a tropical storm but that's going to be in our forecast for the next 72 hours as we get moisture our way because of that system and possibly energy from that system as well and we get the remnants of it moving into our state over the next 72 hours, and that will mean big changes for rain chances but this morning, don't worry. no rain, it's dry and mild and temperat 104. we will talk about that more in minutes. let's talk about breaking news happening right now. to give you a better idea of where this is unfolding, it's right near the walmart at broadway and apache trail. justin pazera, what is the situation there? >> reporter: a chris, we just got on scene and take a look at the amount of resources they i just talked with one of the folks from superstition fire and they say this is a mobile home. it's sitting back on the property so we can't get a good look at it but when this fire broke out, they said it was fully involved, see you can imagine they just through all the resources toward this and i just found out thankfully nobody was injured or living in that mobile home at the time. they believe it was used for storage. aren't sure exactly what started the fire, but they will try to pinpoint that, but again, no injuries thankfully here at apache junction. >> are justin pazera. thank you for that. also wittman only on abc15, a s.w.a.t. situation right now. possibly a situation -- also breaking news, happening right now, only on abc15, a s.w.a.t. team was called in because the man refused to come out and officers believe the man may have an out -- may have a mental illness. no injuries to report. a developing story that ended in a rough day for first responders. a rescue mission turned deadly in the north valley and three chandler firefighters ended up in the hospital. a well-known veterinarian has died underground storage unit and the people who tried to help him or in critical condition -- are in critical condition. the storage unit held greens and apparently water was being trained from the storms. it caused auction -- oxygen levels to drop below the low -- drop below for percent -- 4 in the pot -- the family. >> you think he's the greatest person you've known. >> he's as close to jesus as you could get. >> firefighters say don't ever go into a confined space. call for help because you never know if it's safe. this started as a dumpster fire but ended with three firefighters in the hospital. firefighters say to chemicals mixed together in at a metal cleaning business and that's what caused the fire. the smoke then turned kind of a strange color so the firefighters did go to the hospital me -- mostly as a precaution. >> part of me is missing and part of his mother is missing. now to the shocking death of the three-year-old boy uniontown is sheriff deputies say the child populist -- >> princeton was the kind of child that could light up a room. i know you hear that all the time. he never hurt anybody or did anything to anybody, but just be a little three-year-old kid. >> the 16-year-old is waiting to find out whether he will be charged as an adult. happening right now from the live desk, a man is dead after an officer-involved shooting in the bronx. this is strange situation. two officers were patrolling when somebody alert them of a man causing a problem -- alerted them of a man causing a problem inside a deli. they went to escort the man out of the store and that's when he grabbed the officers' gun from the holster and fired several rounds, striking the officer and killing him. the second officer was able to we're hoping the surveillance pictures can help find the person who killed a convenience store clerk. the masked gunman entered the 7- eleven near 16th street and southern, demanded money, to two workers into the back and shot one of them. if you have any information, please call police. know that there's a new push to ban children out on the trails in the extr after a 12-year-old died last month in the north valley. this video right here from a fundraiser for the family. we're told cody's father never approved of the hike and that he was hiking with somebody else . >> my heart just sank for them because i have a son who's 10 as well. >> the medical examiner's office said cody's cause of death is still pending and phoenix police are investigating. multiple gun -- multiple rounds at once be allowed on the street? councilmember -- council members plan to dance sales of guns that can fire 10 or more rounds as well as bullet -- animal that can hold 10 or more bullets at a time. we told you about the mess involving delta yesterday and there will be more truck -- more trouble for them today. this is a live look at departures from sky harbor airport and you see all the delta airlines green, but the world's largest airline says more cancellations and delays will happen today. the system failure caused grounding for nearly 6 hours the other day. today the airline's are really saying -- already saying about 250 flights will be cancelled and 200 will be delayed. they are already offering because there could be delays from weather soon too. >> yes especially over the next 24 to 48 hours per the good news this morning is that we are all dry -- but the good news this morning is that we are all dry. as we look at the doppler, we're all clear across the valley and across most of the state except southeastern arizona where we see a few thunderstorms but they are well away from the valley and it won't be an impact for us this morning. this afternoon, and they gradually increase as we go through the day. 10% chance of a stray shower or storm but not looking very likely. especially as we go into tonight, the chances go up to 40% by 9:00 this evening and really increasing overnight into tomorrow morning. we are going to be under flash flood alerts starting this evening and i will show you which areas are under the alert. increasing rain and flooding potential along with temperatures in your 7-day forecast. it's pretty quiet for your earning -- for early-morning drive. if you are taking loop 11 eastbound from the 17 to the 51, that drivetime is just eight minutes. if you're taking i-17 southbound , by the time you hit the stack it's looking a little busier. that merges over to the 10 as well but for the most part you shouldn't problems in this area. we will look at the east valley next. i know how many people, family members, loved ones and friends are still grieving. >> paying tribute to the victims of the orlando nightclub shooting but who is that standing right behind hillary clinton? [laughter] >> i know, let mother nature do it. the weekend will be dry bye-bye tuesday rain chances are going up, that's what we said and that's exactly what's happening. as we go to the abc15 weather wall this morning, we are looking at dry conditions here and maybe you are starting the day with us this morning so don't worry about rain impacting your morning commute. it will be in -- a nice and dry driving to work but right now looking live with her phoenix children's hospital valley camera, not a bad start to the david temperatures are a little bit warm and it's feeling a little bit humid out there. the temperatures 91 degrees -- not a bad start to the day but temperatures are a little warm and it's feeling a little bit it's a feels like temperature of 93 once you step outside. the sunrise is at 5:47 and if you're making morning plans, know that it will be warm and humid out there. dew points are in the 60s to near 70s down in spots like nogales but as we look at an oyster, -- at the moisture there's still a lot of dry spots . it's going to take a while fo start to go up because it's -- we've still got to overcome some of that air in place. this has to do with tropical storm javier. right now just -- right now still a tropical storm but it picking up speed. pretty soon an area of low pressure will form as it completely weekends. moisture around our state and possibly energy from it as well and that's what will enhance our rain chances. and that extra moisture means we will have a threat of flash flooding with any storms and manages to develop an -- storm that manages to develop in the area. this advisory is in effect on the way through 11:00 tomorrow night. storms can produce heavy rains and that can lead to flooding, so if yo remember over the next 48 to 72 hours, turn around and don't drown as we are going to see that potential of flash flooding. future cast will show you it will take a while for us to really see those storm chances go up by tonight into tomorrow morning and through the day tomorrow is when we have that best potential from our widespread showers and thunder that could produce heavy rains. those rain chances go up to a 40% chance by this evening and even higher tomorrow. we're at 91 degrees now and we will climb to 100 degrees by 1:00 and in the high today is only 104, so at least it's not going to be as hot as it was yesterday. rain chances will go up overnight and by tomorrow night -- tomorrow morning, 70% chance. it could be a wet one in the afternoon, looking at high storm chances. temperatures will drop over dry out over the weekend. we will talk about how much rain we could see with this system in just a bit, mallory. abc -- abc15 desert dry times brought to you by centurylink prism. >> no issues valley wide right now and i want to focus in on the east valley. maybe are headed in on u.s. 60, no problems there. north- bounders 101 is looking good and then a look at i-10. traveling westbound from the just a seven minute drive time so really nothing driving -- nothing to slow you down there. we will look at i-10 in the west valley in just a few minutes. let's talk real because the us -- lets talk rio because the u.s. women's basketball -- gymnastics team takes the stage tonight. >> the u.s. men's team heads back home without a medal again just like 2012. -- the off to a good start in the preliminary competition only to finish fifth. two athletes stepped out of bounds and that ended up being costly for the entire team. i don't think anybody expected the men's team to reach the podium but again congrats to the pride of the southeast valley. >> hometown guy doing so well on that level. -- moms of three gymnasts will be talking. i don't know if you've watched that video of the parents of ali raisman .
