The Police Report goes on to state that at the time jesse was found in his School Uniform and he only had socks on. One neighbor says when they found him, he didnt say much. Are you scared . Two months ago today stephanie ellis, her 12yearold daughter and Angela Leonard were killed and police just revealed witnesses reported seeing two passengers in the killers car. He was wearing red shorts and a white tshirt. Police found shell casings in the victims car which means close in range. About 30 minutes before the murder, detectives believe an empty truck was targeted about five, 10 miles away. Investigators found shell casings there that tied the two cases together. Our temperature is starting to warm up, a little bit further than where we were yesterday at this time. Remember yesterday we started out with the rain and clouds so that kept our temperatures a little cooler through the morning hours. Now with all that sunshine we are back into the mid90s, just to compare, yesterdays high was in the upper 90s. We are going to get well past that today and get hotter with all of the sunshine. We still do have some lingering moisture near the surface where we can feel it. So its still going to be a little humid as you step that actually is giving us a bit of a heat index so a feels like temperature thats hotter than the actual air temperature sitting at 98 degrees. And weve got some light breezes around the valley too, which will keep going into the afternoon just between about five and 15 miles an hour coming in out of the west. Overall, though, drier air is starting to move in, especially aloft, higher up in the atmosphere and you can actually see all of that brown indicating that drier air thats setting in. Thats going to suppress the Storm Chances for the valley but there is still a chance for those storms in the high country and you can already e things are getting a little active on abc15 desertdoppler especially across northern arizona. Seeing some storms across that northwest pocket, especially right around kingman, this little storm tracking to the southeast, so kingman looks like its going to bypass you to the north but keep an eye on it. Again, its got quite a bit of lightning with it and some pockets of heavier rain still within some of these storms firing up so important to stay alert if youre in the high country. Another storm just east of sedona, that one also tracking to the east over towards happy jack so watch for that one, again, its producing quite a a few popups through the mountains west of greer and around the greer area so again keep an eye out on that. Here in the valley, though, things have been pretty quiet and they are likely going to stay quiet as we go into this afternoon. With just a slight chance of a few storms coming close right along that higher terrain to our north so we will have to watch those but for now keeping that forecast dry again as we lose some of that moisture, not enough to really get storms right here in the phoenix metro. But you can even see futurecast keeping storms out of the valley, a few popups out to our west, but th staying dry, again those storms continuing in the higher terrain scattered in nature. Not as widespread as what we have seen over the last few days. And then by this evening into tonight, things clearing out, we will start the day tomorrow with mostly clear skies and then some more storms in eastern and southeast arizona but the valley dry tomorrow and dry into sunday as well with those sunny skies sticking around. In fact, its not going to be until about wednesday that we start to bring back those Storm Chances for the valley and in the high country, again, that chances through the weekend and then Storm Chances climb for the high country going into next week. Not the case here this morning but we are starting to see some of the storms fire up to our north and northwest, you notice even mohave county getting in on the action with storms all around kingman so if youre in the kingman area keep an eye on the sky and remember indoors is the best place to be as these storms roll through. Some are producing the dangerous lightning and also pockets of heavier rain. You can see in the red, right now a storm near wikieup and youve been quiet out near the river but youve got at least scattered storms developing so that chance is there for more of those as we go into the afternoon. A few more popups also around the flagstaff area, also along i10 near mayer, so if you are traveling up i17 to flagstaff you may get caught under of the heavier showers and storms as those continue to fire up. And seeing the storms fire up in the White Mountains with a few also popping up out near payson here at this hour. So things are getting going ou is well away from the valley for now. As we go into this afternoon, we will have to keep an eye out on the higher terrain just north of the valley so just north of cave creek as some storms could come close but not expecting those storms to actually make it into the phoenix metro. And you will notice futurecast also keeping the phoenix metro dry but we will watch those areas across, again, the foothills, spots like wickenburg and areas west of buckeye as we could get a stray shower or thunderstorm there. And again along the foothills but the rest of us looking at quiet conditions. Plan on those clearing skies. Tomorrow mostly sunny skies and sunny heading into sunday as well. As you look at your forecast for the next seven days as far as rain chances go, the valley staying quiet and dry until the middle of next week when those Storm Chances start to inch back up. For the high country a slight chance for storms today, then isolated chances as we go through the weekend and then as we head into next week, those Storm Chances will gradually start to go back up in the high country. Temperaturewise, though, we are getting hotter as we get drier air in her the hundreds today at 103, hotter to our west near 108 today in lake havasu. Mid90s in sedona and a high of 81 today for the flagstaff area. Valleywide the temperatures will make it back into the low 100s but that still puts us below the 30year average of 105 with spots like glendale making it up to 103 this afternoon and speaking of glendale, if youre heading out there for the cardinals game this afternoon or this evening, kickoff is at 7 00. The temperature is still around 100 degrees by the time the walking into the stadium and temperatures will cool through the 90s through the game so by the time youre heading home, we will be in the low 90s. But the good news is they usually keep that stadium inside in the 70s. So that temperature should be very comfortable during the game as the cardinals face off against the raiders here this afternoon. And then overnight those temperatures will drop into the low to mid80s across the valley under those clear skies so your saturday morning waking up to a low of 85 degrees in phoenix. And the weekend outlook looking hotter, sunny skies through the weekend with temperatures at 106 those morning temperatures in the mid80s ill show you that sevenday forecast in a few minutes.
