- we will send it back to the studio. >> the sheriff has been defeated. took the stage, saying she believes trump will win arizona. and the results are not yet official. i asked her when will the results be official? she said that it could be days, because of outstanding ballots that have not been counted. and going back to the sheriff, it is quite a surprise, in this race, elect him. so, you've been following this closely, what do you think about the feeling and what is happening here? >> we haven't not seen the sheriff. and it is believable that he lost, but the polls indicated differently. will we get to ask him how he feels? what happens now, what are his plans? we do not know. 60% of the vote is in and he is down 100,000 votes, 55% compared to 45%, an overwhelming majority, the interesting thing is that he has been able to get his message out and he had $12 million in his campaign workshop, people, to hear from him and his defense against those criminal charges. and he was rejected by an overwhelming fashion. i'm surprised that point difference. >> you were able to see the trend. he was trending downward among arizona voters. >> you look at 2004, 2008, 2012, is lead went from 20% in 2004 down to 30% in 2012. >> steve, katie, back to you. >> and joe is downtown in phoenix park where people are waiting. listen to people celebrating. >> mergers are going toward the sheriffs headquarters. what is happening? >> you can see the lines, ey marched on down. now you can hear them in front of the sheriffs office, shouting in the background, the sheriffs office is saying eviction notice. they are chanting, they are celebrating. there. it is really a historic night. these folks are really quite excited. people are our - - people are out here with signs, literature, they are really excited - - excited out here. >> one of the most emotional races in quite some time and the most involves proposition 205, legalizing marijuana, voters are on their way toward rejecting legal mayor with - - recreational marijuana. drug we've been seeing this evers - - before it was ever proposed. people are paying attention in arizona as well. >> reporter: they are because arizona is traditionally red. it is a test for people who are similar initiative in their own state. and supporters of the initiative, many people are currently involved with medical marijuana dispensaries. if this passes, they would have the opportunity to retool businesses. and they say they believe it is a little too early to tell how far this will go. at this point they are six points ahead. > have gone the way we expect them to. at this point and time we are waiting on the day of voters. >> we've done our best to educate voters on the facts. and that has been a motto. know the facts, do the research. we have all of our sources cited. >> this was on the ballot. the other proposition on the ballot would increase minimum wage $10 per hour starting on the first of the year. $12 by 2020. >> this appears well on its way to passage. obviously this was a huge democratic concern as well and a county. a large number of minimum-wage workers. >> let's hear from the supporters tonight. >> it has been hard work. really gaining momentum. we are ecstatic. and - - the electoral map. trump at 244, clinton at 215, and it takes 270 electoral votes to win, many states still up in the air, wisconsin and michigan in particular, maine and new hampshire, all states in which trump has a lead. still a lot left to come in those stes and trump is getting closer to the presidency. there are more pads met to the electoral vote than anybody thought. many forecasters said that there are no - - that there was no way this would happen but trump is beating all we have a lot to talk about at this hour and what it means for the country. control of the senate is still in the air. democrats in downtown phoenix, we are watching very closely. >> absolutely we are watching the races, let's talk about the big one for people in this room. that is the race for the sheriff. a new sheriff in town. 15 minutes ago the current shell - - sheriff called to concede and congratulated the and this room erupted in cheers for this race. and it meant so much for so many people. minutes later, he was thinking his supporters and talked about what would be different. >> we no longer stand for the things that we've seen, where the sheriffs office in maricopa county has been notified -
