Federal investigators are trying to figure out what cause third degree deadly plane crash near the Sonoma Skypark airport. The pilot was killed and three people on board were injured. This is video of sky ranger showing what that scene looked like after the crash. Bob redell joining us live near the crash site this morning with the information about the people who were tragically on board that flight. Good morning, bob. Reporter good morning to you, sam and laura. On board the plane, pilot and two children and adult woman taking off just before 1 00 yesterday afternoon from the Sonoma Skypark here behind me. Their plane almost immediately in distress. Witness we spoke with said that the small single engine sr22 ascended to around 75 feet. The engine sputtered an cut out twice before the plane crashed in the field about 1,000 feet from the airport. You can see in the video from sky ranger, the pilot deployed an emergency parachute to slow the planes descent a. Number of people witnessing the crash ran to the site the try to help the family. When i got there, there was a little hand out of the back window so i thought, oh my gosh, somebodys alive in there. Lets see what we can do. Reporter the Good Samaritans were able to pry the boy and girl out of the plane. Both were air lifted to oakland childrens hospitals and are being treated for seriously injuries. The woman also badly hurt and being treated at a local hospital here in sonoma. The father, however, did not survive the crash. The Sheriffs Office has identified him as bill goldman, a 38yearold assistant professor in International Studies at usf. The university issued a statement offering condolences and prayers for his wife sarah and their children, george and marie. Sf gate is reporting that goldman was the grandson of the late richard and ro da goldman, two wellknown philanthropists in San Francisco. Mexican national Juan Francisco sanchez said he found a stolen gun and accidentally went off and hit steinle two years ago in San Francisco. The shooting made National Headlines and prompting kates law passing in the house last month. The bill would extend prison stays for undocumented immigrants caught reentering the u. S. After being deported multiple times. Breaking news out of jerusalem this report. Israeli police, laura, say two officers were killed by a terrorist. Its going to be up to 66 degrees today. At 4 00 and if you are going golfing this afternoon in the trivalley, nice and sunny in the morning and the temperatures quickly heat up and before you know it we will be up to 90 degrees by 3 00 today. Reporter well, and that really is the question. People are saying, hey, listen. You are already taking more of our money promising a better commute, less congestion and we havent seen it yet. This is a bridge toll hike but this was really mean improvements to things like highways and also to mass transit. Now, it was a unanimous yes for the soed regional measure 3 in the asemisemibring transportation bill and the Senate Version is showing promise. If rm 3 makes it through it goes on to your ballot for june of next year. Now, the proposal starts with a 1 that would raise 127 million a year. A 2 increase would then generate 254 million a year. And a 3 increase would raise 381 million annually. This is all bridges except for the golden gate bridge. In a recent poll 56 of voters said definitely or probably yes to regional measure 3. 43 said probably or definitely no. That poll was about 3,000 likely voters and was commissioned by the Silicon Valley Leadership Group and the bay area council. Just in, we have learned three of the 16 People Killed in a military plane crash in mississippi this week from california. Within the past hour, the marine corps released the names and photos of the victims. That includes captain sean eliot of orange in southern california, as well as Staff Sergeant robert cox of ventura and sergeant chad jensen of los angeles. They were on a military transport plane.
