the clouds over the east bay, 59 there. 52 in san francisco. in the north bay, 51 degrees. looking at a lot of sunshine again today with some gusty winds and high temperatures in the south bay reaching into the low 80s. 86 degrees in the tri-valley and 65 degrees in san francisco for today. 85 in the north bay. and it if you are making plans to head to santa cruz today, it will be cool. looking at temperatures reaching into the low 60s. there will be some clouds to start but then we'll see a lot of sunshine as we go through the day. the chance of clouds rolling in for tomorrow. i'll talk more about that coming up in a few minutes. vianey is tracking a fatal. we're off to a rough start here in the bay area and especially along westbound 80. chp is reporting a fatal it appears along westbound 80 in san pablo. multiple vehicles look to be involved. we're looking to confirm exactly how many people are involved and what is the current situation. we can already see some of the backup along the area as well, so we're definitely looking for more details. chp is reporting a fatality along westbound 80 involving multiple vehicles, and that means sig alert has been issued at the moment. we're also tracking a traffic hazard 280 at bird avenue. it appears two lanes may be blocked. it went from one lane. now it looks like it might be two lanes. looks like there might be a possible fire. we're not quite sure if it's a car fire or a brush fire. we're look iing to confirm thats well. chp reporting lanes are blocked along 280 the at bird avenue. we're not seeing any slowing just yet. we will keep you updated on the latest. back to you. >> vianey, thanks. it is it is 4:32. new overnight a major police presence in a san jose neighborhood. >> allen rock avenue was closed down for several hours overnight right at white road. we're told other areas of the bhok here were also cordoned off. police were seen going do door-to-door at one point in the san jose neighborhood. a number of police vehicles and an ambulance were in the area. now police have not said what exactly they were responding to or why an ambulance was brought to the scene. we do have calls in to san jose police. we're going to update you as soon as we have more information on this developing story. well, of course the july 4th is tomorrow and the fireworks already began at great america this weekend. the santa clara theme park had three nights of fireworks ahead of independence day. firefighters are hoping people watch shows like this instead of launching their own fireworks at parks or in their own neighborhood. we want to let you know also only one community in all of santa clara county that is gilroy that allows the sale of legal fireworks. everyone else in santa clara should be heading out to shows. there is the concern of starting fires. it is 4:33 right now on your monday. if you are heading across the golden gate bridge this holiday weekend starting today it will cost you a little bit more. a man behind bars in connection with a deadly hit-and-run. two young boys were killed in the crash and their mother and 3-month-old baby brother were injured. the crash happened friday night in concord. chp officers say lemuel wilson jr. was driving a silver infinity suv when it careened off highway 4. it slammed into another car. friends of the family inside that car identified the boys who died only as 5-year-old vincent and 10-year-old lorenzo. their infant brother is in critical condition. according to a go fund me page the family had just finished watching a movie at a nearby drive-in theater. wilson was arrested the next day after he went to highland hospital for medical treatment and turned himself in to alameda county sheriff's deputies. he's facing two counts of vehicular manslaughter, hit-and-run, and driving with a suspended or revoked license. let's change gears right now as we are starting off your workweek. kari, we did see the cloud cover but that will clear up as the day goes on? it will clear up in parts as the day goes on. looking ahead to tomorrow, the all-important fireworks shows going on. it looks like in san francisco along the coastline, also down to santa cruz, we will have the chance of some fog rolling in especially as we go from the morning and then again as we go into the evening. look at these high temperatures. it's going to be following that sig alert that was issued about ten minutes ago. we got chp got a report about 4:00 in the morning about multiple vehicles involved in a traffic collision and now chp is reporting that this is, unfortunately, a fatal accident along westbound 80, multiple vehicles involved. it appears up to five vehicles may be involved and you can already see the heavy backup along this area. now was 61 years old. happening today a man accused in the deadly shooting of an east bay mother is set to be sentenced. a 30-year-old mother of three, pierce, was shot and killed while protecting her children from a gun battle outside of their home in west oakland back in march of 2015. a man pled no contest to voluntary manslaughter charges and could be sentenced today up to 13 years in prison. other people were convicted but will be sentenced separately. a very sad development this morning to report on in the search for a missing 5-year-old boy who was last seen with his dad at disneyland. homicide detectives found the body of aramazd andressian on friday, the same day his father returned from las vegas. he was arrested last week. he has denied harming the boy. investigators, though, have been searching for the boy since his father was found passed out in a park in pasadena back in april. prosecutors say that he killed the boy to get back at his estranged wife who he was sharing custody with as they went through a divorce. in other news now the g-20 summit kicks off this week in germany. protests already are starting. there are some 10,000 people who protested peacefully yesterday. greenpeace demonstrators hung a banner before police moved in. president trump will beattendin. happening now roads closed, evacuations under way at this moment for homes near a fast-moving wildfire and this is in central california. the so-called spring fire is burning right now in mayor poe is a forcing many families out f of their homes this holiday weekend. right now the fire is only about 10% contained. firefighters say that the mountainous terrain is the biggest obstacle crews are facing. while many structures are threatened, no reports at this point of any damage. fortunate ly of july forecast. how is it looking out there? >> it's going to be really dry and windy, too. using your own fireworks is not recommended. as we always say during this time of year, it's really dry and then the humidity will be low, too. now we're looking live in san jose as we start out this morning with some clouds and temperatures as you step out the door anywhere from 51 degrees in santa rosa to 59 degrees in san jose and fairfield starts off the morning at 60 degrees. as we go into this afternoon look at these high temperatures. it's going to feel pretty much like it did yesterday. very warm throughout the day. and it's going to be up to 3 degrees in east san jose. for the east bay we're going to see some upper 80s for antioch. oakland at 70 degrees. and for the peninsula, 61 degrees at half moon bay. 73 degrees in belmont. heading to san francisco today upper 50s for the marina district. the mission district at 62 degrees and 82 degrees in napa today. santa rosa up to 85 and mill valley will see a high of 77 degrees. as we take a live look outside right now in san jose and we're in the closet getting ready for the day. if you're about to head out the door for work, grab a jacket. it is cool to start but as we go through the day we'll need short sleeves and a day for some shorts as well. our temperatures, especially in the south bay and for some of the interior valleys really start to warm up. looking at our forecast for the fireworks today slightly warmer for a few of the inland areas. for tomorrow the marine layer stays. we will not see that moving especially in san francisco and along the coastline. so if you are planning to go to some of the fireworks shows it will be clear in the valleys, but san francisco will be foggy. maybe one of those cases where you just hear the fireworks. you can't really see much. we are also talking about a high fire danger and the reason why we say go to some of your local fireworks shows. do not spark any fireworks off on your own. humidity will be below 25% this afternoon starting at about 2:00 and this is where we'll see the elevated fire danger for the south bay as well as the hills and then we'll do it all over again tomorrow with some sunshine and the marine layer at about 2,000 feet. we'll also have some breezy winds blowing in onshore and where we he see the bright colors is where we will see the strongest winds as we go into tomorrow afternoon. our temperatures will be in the low 60s over the next several days with 60s for san francisco. looking ahead to the weekend a little bit more sunshine and we'll be up to 71 degrees. for the interior valleys, 85 degrees today and it does get cooler heading into the next couple of days but then check out the weekend. we'll be heating up into the low 90s as we get ready for hot weather. vianey, you're still tracking what's happening in san pablo with that accident. unfortunately, there was a deadly crash reported by chp. the report seems to have come in at about 4:00 a.m. and there was a sig alert issued by 4:22 had this morning. you can see that backup in san pablo along westbound 80. and it appears now the latest, all lanes are now blocked which means they are diverting traffic. any traffic caught up along that area is being diverted off the freeway. it appears five vehicles were involved and it seems it was something reported around 4:00 a.m. not exactly sure what time it happened. there is a sig alert and as of now no estimated time on when lanes will be opening. but for now all lanes blocked and they are diverting the traffic off of that area as well. now we were also tracking what appeared to be some sort of fire along northbound 280. now it appears that it may have just been a fire that was started as a brush fire maybe near the homeless encampment. now they are working to clear that out of the way. we will bring you the latest on that deadly crash along westbound 80. back to you. several people missing bus which was burned down to a black smoking skeleton. right now 17 people are feared to have died. there's no information about what happened to the truck driver. in arkansas shots were fired inside a crowded nightclub. it happened early saturday morning during a rap concert in little rock. no one was killed. investigators believe multiple shooters were involved but they're still looking for the gunman. the rapper was arrested in birmingham on an unrelated charge. now he's being called a person of interest. police believe the shooting could be gang related. a road rage killing in pennsylvania. 28-year-old david desper charged with first-degree murder. it happened wednesday and he's accused of shooting and killing 18-year-old bianca roberson who had just graduated from high school. investigators say he was upset about the way she was merging on the freeway. investigators say they used surveillance video to identify desper as the suspect. an investigation is under way to find out how a plane burst into flames at denver international airport. the regional sky west plane experienced engine trouble right after it landed. airport officials say the aircraft was on the runway when it caught fire. everyone was able to get off the plane safely. fortunately no one was hurt. >> that is good news. they got started with the fireworks early in palo alto. you could see it we're starting out with some clouds as well. the temperature trend in san jose will be in the mid-60s at 8:00 and then you see how the temperatures quickly warm up as we go through the day. definitely feeling like it's july in the bay area. we'll take a look at what's ahead as you make your fireworks plans coming up. a sig alert remains in place along westbound 80 due to a fatal crash. all lanes
