that in a few minutes. to see your highway 4 commute in concord. here is mike. >> most of highway 4 through antioch will be expecting early slowing. it's right there over to solano. a little slowing, a disabled vehicle reported in lanes. no other details than that, other than chp should be out there shortly. 242 has a slowdown. by highway 4, you're okay. as we travel through the tri-valley, just frightening encounter. police are searching for a man who claimed to be an undercover police officerment then he tried to lure a college student into his car. all this happened just before 9:00 wednesday night in lot a at the college in cupertino. the victim says the man told her she shouldn't be walking alone and threatened to give her a ticket. then told her to get into his car. the student was able to get to her car safely when another car drove between them. police say the man was driving a black late model four-door bmw with heavily intoed windows. he had two passengers in the car at the time. thieves break in and hold a homeowner at gunpoint. one man held theoman homeowr at gunpoint whilethe two other e police say three men came in through an open garage door. one man held the homeowner at gunpoint while the other two stole jewelry and other items. we talked to the victim's husband who didn't want his face shown on camera. >> he miss spol whipped her. >> police say they have several leads in the case. so far no arrests. police also say this case is strikingly similar to home invasion robbery in portel lavallely last week. now they have nothing that definitively links the two. this morning a 4-year-old boy fighting for his life after a horrible car crash in san ramon. this happened just after 8:00 last night. that's the car that plowed into a pole. the 4-year-old was flown to children's hospital in oakland with a serious head injury. two other young kids and the driver who is their mom were taken in an ambulance to the hospital. at this hour investigators are trying to figure out what happened. >> maybe you were caught in it. some say it was the worst traffic jam they've ever endured. that massive backup during last night's commute yesterday on highway 101. it happened after an rv camper started spewing flames. it didn't just bring traffic to a standstill. it literally had drivers standing on the freeway waiting for the lanes to reopen. >> it's absolutely crazy. >> it couldn't happen at a worse time. it's commute hour. everybody is trying to get home, and then this happened. >> took a long time to get home for some. all lanes were closed for more than an hour. the northbound direction didn't get going for at least two hours. the chp says the rv was transferring the model rockets from a hobby show when one apparently exploded. everyone made it out safely and no one was cited. >> one of several jams yesterday. we'll get to that in a second. in the meantime, scary moments at a san francisco skate park. the bomb squad is there. it was called out to a report of a suspicious device at the soma skate park on debows avenue and prompted a shelter in place for about an hour. crews determined the device was not an explosive. we mentioned, all the traffic problems yesterday. it comes just hours after another scare in san francisco where the bomb squad was called in to investigate a car parked under highway 101 and interstate 80. police say a suspicious note was left on the car that included the word bomb. both freeways were closed and a shelter in place was ordered at the nearby hall of justice. after a three-hour long investigation, they determined it did not pose a threat to public safety. getting ever so close to the weekend. rob is tracking the warming trend that will take us into saturday. >> in the 50s, but to low 80s. tahoe, numbers close to 70. cooling as more clouds roll in. but a dry weekend forecast that and drizzle along the coast. cooling temperatures for the weekend around monterey. the next chance of rain, you can see the timeline at the top of the screen, sunday night, north bay will begin to see showers into monday. the rain line progresses south. san jose may miss out until about died last month as a result of a faulty air bag. the national highway traffic safety administration says the woman was driving a honda civic when she crashed in riverside county. the civic was first recalled in 2008. the repairs were never finished. this is the 11th death in the united states linked to the faulty air bags. more than 100 million inflaters have been recalled worldwide because the air bags can en flat with too much force causing snap nell to spray into the vehicle. apple claims about 90% of the chargers sold on amazon are fake. >> for the real thing right now and the rest of this morning. the nasdaq may open higher, that would be thanks to microsoft's strong earnings report last night. there's no major economic data today but look for earnings from the likes of general electric, honeywell and mcdonald's. a two-day win streak down to 18,162. nasdaq falling four points to 5241. apple filed a lawsuit this week revealing most of the eye phone chargers sold on amazon are fake. they tested more than a hundred lightning charges listed on amazon as original items and found they were counterfeit. apple says because fake chargers could overheat, catch fooir or even electrocute someone. snoopy may be heading for the unemployment line. met life has used the peanuts character in its advertising for more than 30 years, the insurer is spinning off most of its u.s. life insurance business next year and will sell plans to mostly corporate customers. met life has a multiyear contract to use snoopy and other peanuts characters such as charlie brown. >> i knew the
