Shes one of eight people being treated in the hospital after getting sick at a party. Firefighters were called out to a celebration at the womens building around 10 15 last night because someone was having an allergic reaction. When responders arrived, the number of patients kept going up to 14 people sick. Children and adults complained of heart palpitations, swollen tongues and rashes. Investigators say candy may be the cause. They all ate a gummy ringstyle candy. And that is what were looking at at this time. Investigates are working to learn more about this gummy candy. San Francisco Police want to hear from anyone who may know about where that candy came from. We are following another story out of San Francisco. Last night police put out a plea for help if finding the person who shot and killed someone at aquatic park. The flames ignited around 5 00 p. M. And completely destroyed one unit. A couple and their two children lived in the apartment. Fortunately, no one was injured. Two connected apartments also were damaged and that damage is estimated up to 150,000. What should have been a thrilling experience turned into a horrifying tragedy yesterday. Two young men were killed when their parachute failed to open. The bodies of the instructor in his 20s and his 18yearold customer were discovered in a vineyard. Investigators worked to find out what went wrong as sky divers continued to drop over the course of the day. The owner says the instructor was an independent contractor but was very experienced. The parachute failed to function properly. We have no explanation why. The only thing looks like something may have gone out of sequence that may have caused the problem. Thats going to mean for a warmer day even tomorrow and tuesday and then the heat peaks and then slightly backs off as we head towards the upcoming week. Fog is in place across the bay area, even for San Francisco and the north bay really looking at low visibility. The trivalley, not as many clouds as we saw yesterday. We are still looking at a warm day. 84 for the trivalley. The south bay, low 80s. But everywhere else it will be comfortable. 60s for San Francisco and 70s for places like the peninsula and inner bay. The fog is going to push back to the coastline today as it did yesterday. We have been getting emails and text from folks in gilroy concerned about the fire and smoke blowing that way. What will happen over the next 24 to 48 hours, our winds will continue to stay out of the northwest. That will blow the smoke down towards the central valley. Our winds are calm. Look at the numbers. Only two Miles Per Hour, 11 Miles Per Hour. Really when you have calm winds like this, the smoke as it rises just kind of variably drifts from location to location. When we get gusty winds by monday afternoon, thats really going to push that smoke farther south. Our air quality will increase once we hit monday into tuesday. We have an area of low pressure to our north. Thats going to eventually sag south as we head towards the middle part of the week. In the meantime, the heat is really going to build. Not only for today, but through the next couple of days. Look at danville, 83 for today. For tomorrow, up to 87 degrees, even places in the north bay in the mid 80s. Look at the heat through monday. Triple digits for fresno, bakersfield through tuesday. Then once we hit wednesday, temperatures will start to come down. Here is a look at your highs for today.
