To make a delicious key lime pie takes something special. Its really ease. A simple recipe. Heres everything you need. We will start with graham crack crackers. A Graham Cracker crust. I love Graham Cracker crust. I make mine thick because i like it so much. Melt eed butter. How much . A couple tablespoons. Actually a stick. Whos counting . You have some salt there in, too. The salt really helps bring out the sweetness actually. Interesting. You mix it all together until all those ingredients get nice. You want me to do that for you. Then, turn it down to 325 and take it out because it will bake at a lower temperature. Let this cool completely while you make your filling. Canned sweetened condensed milk, you add to that a little more sugar. And some egg yolks. Theres your yellow. And key lime juice and lime zest. A key lime and a lime, whats the difference . The size . A key lime is slightly less acidic, not quite as tart but you can totally make this recipe with regular limes and you can even substitute in lemons if you want to make a lemon pie. Look how cute they are. Adorable. They take a lot more work because you have to squeeze a lot of them. You pour it into the shell and goes into the oven at 325 until its nice and set. You want it to have a little bit of jiggle to it. A little bit of jiggle is not bad. Let it cool completely, and then you pop it right out, just like that, and its super simple. You cut it up. Then we will top it with a little bit of whipped cream. I love whipped cream. Ill try it. No whipped cream for you . Lets get you a piece right hire. What are those things on the stick . Freeze it and then dip it in you know that chocolate you buy that hardens like fast, like magic. My gosh. You put it back in the freezer and you can walk around and eat your pie on a stick.
