>> yes. >> well, which we thought this would be a perfect moment. you were in the hospital room and hooked up to wires and tubes and stuff and the two of you stood up with no music and started dancing. >> that was a jim thing. >> well, there's times where your feelings overtake your body and at the time, even though i was feeling bad i looked and knew the blessing that i had and through my whole thing of suffering, i realized how important it was that i had these ladies in my life and realized how important it was that my wife the at times forgave daddy and jim for some of the things that i've done, but more importantly, for me the love that my family has shown towards me, i could not have went through all those things in the hospital if it wasn't for my daughter cameron, my wife jill daughter erin and my brothers that all came to my side when i desperately needed them. >> if you're going through -- >> kelly tough is overrated. >> if you're going through a difficult time in your life or any time pick up this book. >> yes. >> it will encourage you and lift you up. great job, erin. what a great book. >> great job, sweetie. glad you're feeling so great. >> i'm just glad to be here. >> and jill, i want you to know, i thought you were his other daughter. >> thank you. >> makes her feel good. >> god bless. called "kelly tough". >> first this is "today" on nbc. >> you guys are the best. >> the best. >> that was special. >> the coming up tomorrow, academy-award winner susan sarandon is here. >> indy right now at 11:00, this dramatic crash the result of a suspect speeding across the east bay in the wrong direction. the call he made to police moment befores before it went down. thank you for joining us scott has the morning off. authority in the east bay think they know who left thefd-- who led them on this wild pursuit but they don't know where he is yet. this started in concord. the suspect drove the wrong way across two freeways before slamming into another car in berkeley and then ran away. >> nbc bay area's stephanie tran live in berkeley. the suspect actually warned authorities to stay away
