well, we are going to be a little bit windier yesterday. over all, a repeat performance. low pressure sits to the north. it's going to drag in energy. enough to kick you have gusty winds. 70s we are headed toward the 70s once again. fremont 70 degrees again. same for san jose. gos gatos 70 for you. 72 up in the north bay. as we head throughout the rest of the week, the warming trend continues up in the mid-80s by wednesday. weather. back to matt and meredith. >> al, thank you very much. here in london the final wedding preparations are being tended to. people already lining the streets. >> this morning we're already learning more about the ceremony itself. ann is at westminster abbey with details on that. good morning to you. >> reporter: good morning to you, matt and meredith. the details include what prince william and kate middleton will say to each other when they take their vows tomorrow, and what they won't say. kate middleton started the day early with a trip to westminster abbey thursday morning for a last-minute rehearsal. we now have our first look at the official royal wedding program. and on the very first panl, a heartfelt page from prince william and kate middleton say they are deeply touched. also what you see are the marriage vows. for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish till death do us part. it features a stunning portrait of themselves. as the final details are put in place, william and indicate can no longer rye main in hiding. here a glimpse of kate middleton outside clars house on wednesday, the official residence of her husband-to-be. she spent a few minutes talking to a woman inside holding black dress bag in her arms. later kate's mother karol and sister pippa were spotted leaving the clarence house in a black suv on their way to a wedding rehearsal at westminster abbey. kate reportedly went through her vows. after the rehearsal, crowds cheered as prince william left the abbie smiling along with his brother and best marngs prince harry. same goes for the bride-to-be and her family, all of them looking relaxed and happy just hours before the big event. kate middleton is now staying at the goring hotel, getting ready for the big day. on wednesday staffs were busy bringing in bags of her clothing fueling speculation on what kate will be wearing on her trip down the aisle. she spent wednesday afternoon in cambridge with the duke of edinborough in one of her last public engagements before the wedding. fans are camping out to get the perfect view of the new royal couple. there's rain in the forecast, but royal waefrps don't seem to mind. >> it's going to be beautiful and exciting and magical. >> it is beautiful. >> reporter: also st. james palace has confirmed that prince william will spend the evening having a private din were his father, the duchess of cornwall and his best man, prince harry. and for kate middleton, she'll be going to the hotel with her family. here at westminster abbey, the excitement is palpable, matt and meredith. >> the gorg hotel, they keep talking about, that's just behind us here, along the side of buckingham palace. >> along with a growing number of folks preparing. a changing of the guard going on. >> a little like pavlov dogs because every time we turn around, they just yell. i was watching over your shoulderer of the last couple of days, this is bagger crowd. >> they're expecting half a million people, tourists, before tomorrow. >> in beautiful sunshine. >> yes -- well, no. i don't think so. >> keep your fingers crossed. coming up, what's in the bag. >> the new images from kate's hotel. the speculation on what she'll be wearing tomorrow. is that the dress? first this is "today" on nbc. >> i think this is the moment where the world tries to get in. he's fought so hard to keep that ring of steel around him, his brother. trying to enjoy a kind of normal life and get on with ordinary relationships. but also with their friends. suddenly there is this normal attention. that's the danger, i think. >> you're well respected and a very popular journalist here but you are british, so when the world watches this event tomorrow, what do you want the world to take away? again. >> good morning to you, meredith and matt. it's become quite a scene here in front of westminster abbey. the crowds and media are growing. we've learned about the people camping in front of westminster abbey. many have been here for three days in anticipation. the media was taken by surprise this morning as kate and crew came in for a second rehearsal. we're told the middleton parents accompanied their daughter. also, prince harry was also here as well as the young page boys and the bridesmaids. who wasn't here this morning? well, actually prince william wasn't here. he apparently has gotten things down pat after last evening's rehearsal, and we want to mention that inside the abbey it's now decked with the floor designs that kate has chosen, including those 20 foot trees that are meant to mimic the english country side. the bottom line is that the long wait is nearly over. this time tomorrow they'll be a married couple. matt and meredith, back to you. >> something we've been counting down for a little while now. it is finally about to happen. ann, thank you. >> nbc's michelle kazinski is at the exclusive goring hotel where kate will spend her last night as a commoner, as they say, around here. good morning to you. >> reporter: good morning, matt. the crowds are gathering around here too. you can see they have the street right outside the hotel closed off. there is an enormous police presence here. i'm not sure you can just see the edges of them, but there are large police barriers that nelled use for things like demonstrations here. they're letting a van in now, so that's causing a little bit of excitement. big police presence and on either side of the barriers that you can't see, dozens and dozens of people. some of them dressed up already in wedding garb have gathered looking for a glimpse of kate middleton and her family whenever they are to arrive. they've also built a little privacy tent right outside the front entrance of the hotel. that may prevent us from getting a glimpse of kate in the morning when she comes out wearing that gown. she wants to keep that secret. when she comes to the a abbey, that could be the first time we get a glimpse of what she's wearing. she will spend the night with her mother, her sister, pippa. it's a five-room suite that's renovated to the tune of $200,000, and it's said to be decorated in the style of royalty, that there's a replica gown that queen victoria wore for her wedding day. matt. >> all right, michelle, just a couple of blocks from us here. ann, let's get a check of the top nearly four decades. kan kan is in hard-hit tuscaloosa, alabama. good morning, jim. >> good morning. still well under the search and rescue mode here as we can't get into the hardest hit areas. i want to take you back to show you this half mile wide monster that moved through tuscaloosa, and it's amazing here that we didn't have higher loss of life. the death toll in alabama stands at 128 people from this. this shot from chris england. i talked to him off camera earlier, and he said he couldn't widen out his camera wide enough to see the whole tornado. that's how big it was. of course, the campus just a couple of blocks away here. businesses, as you see behind me here, are in complete ruins this morning, and even some of the signs we know that were here just yesterday have been blown some 35 miles away up toward birmingham. that's where they landed. a huge outbreak of tornadoes. probably the second deadliest in alabama history. unfortunately, i think those numbers are going to go up as we have not seen the worst of what this thing has done. >> heart-breaking and unimaginable. thank you so much, jim. well, government figures out this morning showed economic figures slowed because of the rough winter and high oil prices. economists say the setback was temporary and they forecast that growth in spending will pick up over the rest of the year. an autopsy is being done today on a young mother from maine whose disappearance saturday ended tragically. officials say the body of 20-year-old christa did itmire was found in a new hampshire pond. it was a quarter mile from where her car was left idling with her infant daughter asleep inside. sxlirchlgts tomorrow's scheduled launch of the space shuttle endevour could be overshadowed by science and the human spirit. nbc's we won't get our first glimpse? >> we'll get a glimpse. >> if the awnings are up outside, we may not see so clearly. but there are going be fundraisers at every angle. photographers at every angle. while we're talking a lot about the wedding, we're also keeping a close eye on the deadly storms back home. they struck about five states. there was a massive path of tornadoes that cut that path. for more on those stories we head back to new york right now. tamron hall is standing by at the news desk. good morning to you. >> good morning. good morning, everyone. the death toll is rising across the southern state this morning after the worst swarm of tornados in nearly four decades. jim cantore is in tuscaloosa with the details. good morning, jim. >> reporter: it is almost hard to wrap your hands around it. the whole area continues to be in a certain much and rescue operation. probably will be all day. they are actually believe there are still survival -- survivors in some of the rubble. not to mention that they have a lot of clean-up to do around here as you can imagine with a half-mile wide path of absolute devastation. this youtube video captures the massive tornado as it ripped through tuscaloosa, ground zero from wednesday's massive and deadly tornado outbreak that raged through the south. more than a dozen lives lost in this city alone. and the mayor says that number is expected to go higher. >> stephanie and i along with our city council offer our sincere condolences to the families of those who have lost lives. >> reporter: at the university of alabama here, chris england could hardly catch his breath as he videotaped the massive tornado ripping through his town. >> reporter: just the size and how massive it was was just, you know, unbelievable. >> reporter: the entire state of alabama was hit brutally hard with dozens confirmed dead so far. the president declared alabama a state of emergency. and has ordered federal aid for the badly torn statement tornadoes lit up the radar maps overnight, leaving death and destruction in their wake. >> this type of damage, i've never seen anything of this magnitude with any storm. >> reporter: in mississippi, more tornadoes and flooding. businesses, homes, and lives lost. those who survived, standing strong. >> nothing i can do but start over again. >> reporter: and you can see what's left of the midtown village. a tremendous amount of clean-up as the search and rescue continues all day today. the number of deaths climbing in tuscaloosa from 15 to now 36 ads as we expect that number to only go up. by the way, tamron, since katrina, 2,700 people spent the night in shelters. that's the most since katrina in 2007. officials in morocco say a massive explosion left at least 14 dead and 20 wounded. the country's interior minister says the explosion appears to be a criminal act. president obama is urging americans and lawmakers to focus on more pressing matters of state after releasing his long form birth certificate. in an effort to put questions of his eligibility for office to rest. he and first lady made light of the situation during the taping of the "oprah show." set to air may 2. president obama said he remembered the exact meet he was born in hawaii. in the meantime donald trump took credit for the release of the document. president obama announces major shifts in his national security team as they say defense secretary robert gates has informed the commander in chief that will retire on june 30th. he'll nominate leon panetta to replace him. he will nominate general petraeus to take the helm at the cia. if you have an appetite for all things william and kate, how about a slice of pizza celebrating tomorrow's royal wedding. how about a slice of pizza celebrating tomorrow's royal wedding. a food artist created it using chicken for the faces and crafting kate's lovely hair out of black olives with yellow pepper highlights. it is six minutes past the hour. back to matt, ann, and meredith in london. you couldn't pay me to take a bike out of that. >> all right, tamron. thank you very much. let's get a check of the weather now. al is across town. he's at our london news bureau with a busy morning. al? >> thanks a lot, matt. of course, we still can't believe this outbreak that happened. really of historic proportions. here's what happened. we had a strong low level jetstream. warm humid air. upper-level low and an enhanced jet stream that got that wind shih going and that's what happened. look at the radarrom last night, yesterday afternoon on into last night. we have those strong storms firing up from birmingham io tuscaloosa by 4:45. by 6:45 in the afternoon things really starting to break loose. now what we're looking at, more fronts. we've got tornadoes and severe storm watches from central georgia into parts of the carolinas and on into the delmarva peninsula. thunderstorm watch is up into parts of new york state. we've got a risk of strong storms from albany into jacksonville. from the nosh part of the season we may see an isolated tornado. we're talking about supercells that may spawn tornadoes. rainfall amount, anywhere from about one to two inches of rain and that means we've got flood watches stretching from the southeast all the way up into new york state. and so we're talking about the possibility of flash flooding and flood watches as good morning to you. well, we're going to see winds today, winds will pick up as we head throughout the afternoon. it's already a little bit on the breezy side across the bay area. 42 degrees up in santa rosa. pretty much everywhere is going to see the 70s, 70 degrees on the peninsula in redwood city, 65. we all will warm up as we head through the weekend. great for outdoor activities, maybe a golf weekend. and that's your last weather. ann?
