Is all this rain actually helping our droughtstricken reservoirs . Collectively theyre about 40 of their capacity right now. So, theyre not halfway full. Our biggest reservoir is about 45 . Well, reservoir capacities rose less than 1 since midoctober. But there is good news. Much of the rain is soaking into the ground and ground water storage is our biggest reservoir of all. Theres all kinds of positives. Were in a surplus right now for october. Some places wildly 400 of average. Great news. I know. Look, i know this isnt a drought buster but it is something. We still have clouds across the east bay. This is our view in walnut creek at mount deoblow. After a high of 69 and temperatures in the low 60s throughout tonight. We are in for yes, another change as we head into saturday. A weak cold front just off shore is pushing across and it does look like that will bring thus possibility of showers for saturday. I want to outline what we can expect across the bay and inland. Temperatures will be fairly stable no matter where youre headed. By 2 00 p. M. , a slight chance in 66, looks like at 6 00 at night well have temperatures as warm as 68. And by 10 00 saturday night, 59 and rainfall develop in the north bay with our storm approaching. Lets get to that next storm system. And you can see at 6 30 in the morning, we get that big intensity off shore. Yellow, orange and red is heavier pockets of rain as the cold front moves across, winds will likely gust up as well and it looks like the 6 00 to 9 30 time zone will see the heaviest rainfall. Best chance would be for the higher number in the north bay, also the coast. We may see it closer to 3 4s of an inch. 6 00 to 9 30 sunday morning. Winds gusting upwards of 30 miles per hour. So this could bring down some trees. As we know a lot of them are trying to suck up any kind of water we have in the ground and it could take them down sunday.
