in, through this back door, pulling down items across the hallway. you can sigh boxes and everything, and making their way through this hallway. golf clubs pulled down and all the way back, you can see some of these ipad boxes are empty now, and an employee just found this wrench on the ground. now employees still have to do a lot of inventory to see what is missing, but there is one item in particular they know is gone -- a $40,000 scooter donated by san francisco giants outfielder hunter pence. if we could go to some video of that scooter. >> -- where we had hunter pence's scooter live. >> reporter: now the burglary happened at about 2:45 in the afternoon yesterday. these two men in the surveillance individual yes are carrying the scooter, a suitcase and a few backpacks full of items, possibly ipads. this building has 24/7 security, somehow they broke in and through the stairwell doors and through the foundation's office back door. now all while evading security guards patrolling each floor. the electric scooter they're riding is famous. it was hunter pence's, and he donated it to make a wish. the do make a wish hopes they can get that scooter back. >> it has an inspiring story behind it. and hunter's been an amazing ambassador for make a wish. so it was devastating to see that particular thing was taken. >> reporter: now crime scene investigators were just here about an hour ago, swabbing for fingerprints. and hunter just tweeted this is scooter-gate all over again. reporting live from san francisco, nbc bay area news. the man arrested in a dramatic raid in san francisco friday is due in court tomorrow on federal weapons charges. stance lough petra taken into custody. the investigation involves a discovery of a gun at the home last month. petra was first thrust into the public spotlight last november after video surfaced of videos beating him after a high-speed chase. police wanted to question his girlfriend about a domestic violence incident in which pet trof is the prime suspect. jerry brown is set to sign a minimum wage bill into law. it would raise the state's minimum wage to $15 per hour over the next six hours. california is the first state in the country to commit to the $15 per hour wage. under the new law, small businesses would be granted an extra year to comply. critics say the decision will cause lay offs and raise the cost of living. and speaking of first, san francisco could be the first city in the country to offer six weeks of fully-paid leave for new parents. businesses would have to pay workers 45% of their salary during a six-week leave. the state covers the other 55% of the proposal would apply to businesses that have more than 20 employees. some companies, so far, are outraged, saying it would simply be too expensive. former president clinton and daughter chelsea led the charge as hundreds of students rolled up their sleeves for a community project in oakland. the day of action was held and it was home to five schools that opened. marianne favro has the details. >> reporter: the clinton global academy teamed up with the open unified school district to host this event. and hope mayor libby shaft, shees what the one who introduced everyone. >> and when they come to school on monday, they are going to feel a connectivity to you, because you have given your service to them today. >> reporter: chelsea clinton, who is pregnant took the stage to talk about the importance of giving back. then her father, president clinton talked about why the clinton global academy organizes grassroots events like today's to help improve the lives of kids. >> we're going to be working on planting gardens, cleaning up facilities and demonstrating to the children who will show up and see your work that they matter. that they matter. [cheers and applause] >> that's the most important thing. >> retired marshawn lynch and josh johnson helped with the project. they joined hundreds of volunteers. there will be other events in the bay area, all hosted by the clinton initiative. in san jose, marianne favro, nbc bay area news. >> good work done there. no relief for bart passengers. we've just learned in the last hour that bart will not be offering normal service tomorrow between bay point and north concord station. service has been affected on that line for more than two weeks now after an electrical problem knocked out power to train cars. this weekend bart resumed normal service on the line as a test, but apparently it showed the system is simply not ready to handle the heavy week-day commute. shuttles will continue to run between the two stations. temperatures warmed, but it's about to get down right hot. then comes the rain. here's meteorologist rob mayeda with your forecast. >> all in the next seven days. we're seeing sunshine and temperatures hanging onto the 70s. but out near sunol, see breeze moving in. high clouds near the sunol hills. you see the fog icon there. good strong sea breeze in oceanside. and heavy skies will be what we wake up to tomorrow. but by the middle part of the week, temperatures set to climb. a summer-sized ridge of high pressure bringing the hottest temperatures of the week. and what will break the heat is the return to some rain showers. all this showing up in time for the workweek ahead. we'll let you know just when that rain will arrive and how long that heat could linger this week, coming up in your full forecast in ten minutes. coming up next, an emotional day at the brussels airport. t the flight that provided hope in the wake of the deadly terror attack. and it will cost a women's soccer star a whole lot more than her dignity. a little pup getting national attention. >> i saw him on the national news. >> he's quite famous. fit fghtinclasmon's dely rroatt [ applause ] an emotional moment here at the brussels airport this morning as the first flight since last month's deadly terror attacks took off. people cheered as the plane lifted into the sky. this is the first of three scheduled flights that took place today. all were hided to destinations in europe. passengers encountered very tight security at the airport where you can still sigh the damage from the bombing that killed more than a dozen people less than two weeks ago. still airport officials say resuming operations is a sign of hope. >> it's a very emotional moment for all of us. we've worked day and night to make this moment possible. so i think it's very important. >> tomorrow the brussels airport will be offering more flights to other destinations including new york. another tragedy on amtrak, this time in philadelphia where a plane with hundreds of people on board crashed into a piece of construction equipment. more than 30 passengers injured and two workers killed. it slammed into a backhoe and partially derailed. passengers say it was loud and dusty. >> like rumbling. then we got off the track, i guess. there was a bunch of dust, dust everywhere. >> the two workers killed were not on the train. this is the latiest in series o accidents for amtrak. last month three dozen were hurt when a passenger train derailed in kansas. turning now to decision 2016. democrats bernie sanders and hillary clinton both say they'd like to debate in new york, but the back and fort over when and where that could happen continues. meanwhile, time is running out, the new york state primary is two weeks from tuesday. both have stakes in the game. he's from new york, she lives in new york. clinton has been going after sanders for being an independent and one who lacks experience. he would have none of that today. >> you are lookin' at the strongest democratic candidate. politics. he had a slip on abortion and nato. senator cruz kept up his attacks on trump while john kasich is looking forward to an open convention. abbey woman bay wambach fou in handcuffs after she allegedly ran a red light. she was polite and cooperative. she is the all-time leading goal scorer in u.s. women's soccer history. she won two olympic medals. the mini car company is pulling ads featuring wambach. she released a statement today reading, i take full responsibility for my actions. this is all on me. i promise that i will do whatever it takes to ensure that my horrible mistake they don't bark. i don't have a bad thing to say about them. >> reporter: these hills of spinning turbines go by another name. >> called the montezuma hills wind resource area. >> reporter: 100 turbines are generating lots of energy. and some of it will make its way back across the san francisco bay to san francisco. which is launching its new clean power sf program. >> for the first time, san francisco residents and businesses can choose to have renewable power, provided by the city. >> reporter: san francisco will become the third program in the state to allow customers to buy clean power provided by the city. the pg&e. >> what wae're doing is providig a different source from where the electric comes from. the ultimate goal is to have san francisco have the option for 100% renewable power. >> that is when it started. up on the hill there. >> reporter: shirley remembers when the turbines began to dot the hills nearly 40 years ago. it's smack-dab in the middle of the winding of change. >> doesn't bother me. >> reporter: nbc bay area news. a big story out of the half marathon in san francisco is not who won, it's who had clothes on. yes. race organizers say no one ran the rock and roll half marathon naked this year. >> n nthat's good news. >> many take it as a chance to run across the golden gate bridge. some like to show off their skin. not this time. the winner from costa rica had a winning time, fully clothed. and the top woman from canada, all were fully clothed. >> that could make you run faster. if you were -- >> the next thing we say will get us fired. so let's go to rob mayeda. >> the weather was not cooperative for clothing optional running in san francisco. we'll probably see the seam thing tomorrow. san jose, 64 degrees, oakland, 62 and a view from belvedere, cooling to 59 degrees as the sea breeze is taking hold. fog coming in, the onshore winds will bring in the low clouds across the coast and push them inland overnight tonight into the tri valley and south bay once again for tomorrow morning. tomorrow morning's commute may include a little bit of drizzle and mist like we had this morning. but quickly clearing skies. as we head through the afternoon, as we begin to see warming temperatures, for tomorrow we're talking mid to upper 70s. after the morning temperatures in the mid-50s give way to mid-60s around lunch time. then big warming changes come tuesday and wednesday. low to mid-70s around the south bay. upper 70s as the winds begin to change direction late in the day tomorrow. and tri valley temperatures mid to upper 70s. so one of the things we'll be watching closely is watching the sea breeze more or less begin to go away by tuesday. notice the wind direction here beginning to turn offshore, a sign that we're going to see high pressure building in. it really is a summer-sized ridge of hay pressure. 70 by the beaches. and around the bay we're talking 80s and 90s. so the warmup really being felt for san francisco, kicking in on tuesday. mid-70s. 85, maybe even a little warmer than that south of downtown average high is only 6. close to 90 on wednesday, but notice that pyramid effect of temperatures rising up quickly in the south bay around wednesday. 90s, and then falling for the end of the week. temperatures as the pattern now reverses by thursday and friday. if you don't like the heat, second half of the forecast looks good for you. we'll see cooling and a good chance of seeing some showers, not just for the end of the week, but at this point, it looks like into next weekend and into the beginning of next week perhaps above-average chances of rainfall. we have the midweek heat. then by next weekend a chance of scattered showers and systems that will be cold enough for overtime in the snow-making department. we could keep the ski resorts open a little longer than possible. and much-needed rain returning by next weekend after the heat subsides heading into thursday and friday. >> him. >> here is the officer who successfully roped in this little guy. he had no collar on but identifying tags that they're hoping will help. animal control officers checking to see if he's
