The raid stems from a previous discovery of a weapon in the home last month. Agents found a weapon there yesterday. Also yesterday a man was shot multiple times outside that home on teddy avenue where petrov is known to be a frequent visitor. Petrov, a suspected car thief, has had multiple runins with police. This video is from last year when deputies severely beat petrov in a San Francisco alleyway and sparked an investigation into Police Excessive use of force. Petrov is currently in federal custody on the weapons charge from march. At this time we do not know if petrov and rinta were still in a relationship. Earlier this month a gunman shot a man outside a liquor store at delaware street and san pablo avenue. Berkeley City Council Members say two stores seem to be magnets for crime. Bings liquor store and popeyes chicken fast food restaurant. They Say Something needs to be phone to make that area safe again. We cant have people passing out on the street. We cant have people shooting one another. We cant have women going home from working with harassed. That has to stop. The city wants to add surveillance cameras and possibly staff a Security Guard at the camera to curb crime. A father in custody tonight in Southern California charged with killing his son because he was gay. Investigators say he issused a shotgun in the killing. He claims he shot his 29yearold son, amir, in selfdefense. The body of his wife was also found at their home tuesday. He was a suspect in both killings. The father repeatedly threatened to kill his son over his sexual orientation. Were following developing news out of Southern California where a small plane crashed into a car on a freeway. This cell phone video captured the moments right after the accident on interstate 15 in the town of foulbrook. Thats about 50 miles north of san diego. A woman sitting in the back seat of the car was killed. Several other passengers were injured. The chp says the plane landed in the slow lane then skidded to the shoulder where it struck the car. The driver just pulled over to synch his bluetooth to the phone. Witnesses observed the plane east of the 15 banking back to the west with apparent issues. One witness stated that they didnt hear the engine of the plane. They believe possibly the engine was off at that time. The plane is registered to an oregon owner, a homebuilt model. Airbnb launched a crackdown on hosts who violate San Franciscos laws on shortterm rentals. Reporter San Francisco has a law on the books that says homeowners can only list their primary residence on shortterm rentals. Airbnb today said its going to do two specific things. First its going to investigate people who list multiple San Francisco homes and it says it will purge the listing of hosts whove turned private homes into illegal hotels. According to airbnb, as of midmarch, more than 1,000 of its house listings in San Francisco were controlled by hosts who list more than one home for rent on their site. Thats 1 5 of all the house listings in San Francisco. The companys global director of Public Policy says the goal of the new crackdown is to make sure each host has only one listing. Some critics accuse airbnb of making the bay areas housing shortage even worse because it gives Property Owners a financial incentive to convert homes into shortterm rentals for visitors instead of renting to residents. Last year San Francisco toughened laws on shortterm rentals but city officials have asked Vacation Rental sites to do more to help the city catch violators. Airbnb says last year it removed 118 questionable listings in San Francisco. And right now airbnb has more than 9,000 active listings in San Francisco.
