Its believed that action is what prompted the threats posted on just such an account, which has been removed. The original posts were in arabic and initially translated and reads, every twitter employee in San Francisco and in the United States should bear in mind and watch over himself, because on his doorstep, there might be a lone wolf assassin waiting. These people are not unsophisticated. Yeah. They know how to use the web. Reporter a terror expert at uc berkeley believes the tweets are intended to frighten, but without substance. Daytoday employees, probably more dangerous walking across the street in San Francisco than the likelihood of being hit by an assassin inside the United States. Reporter mark is a political activist. The white house says the president has the Legal Authority to up the air strikes in iraq, but still may seek congressional approval of his plan. What we know about the plan so far is that it does not call for u. S. Ground troops, but Additional Air power with collaboration from allies. So far, the u. S. Has carried out more than 150 air strikes against isis in iraq. Tonight, a popular South Bay Park has been turned into a crime scene. A teenage boy was stabbed on his way home from school. This happened just before 3 00 this afternoon at hammond park in san jose. This is near Delmar High School and valley med. Officers say the 16yearold yelled out for help. Paramedics rushed him to a local hospital. He is expected to survive. Told that the victims were confronted by the multiple suspects and thats when the stabbing occurred. Okay. And at this point, no one in custody . No one is in custody. Reporter janelle, many people say utilizing more Home Security video to help Law Enforcement is a good idea, but even with the compelling video youve been seeing, concerning the serial arsonist case, many people still have concerns about privacy and how much it really helps police. A Security Camera mounted on the porch of san jose homeowner jeff lavine helped police catch the man investigators say is a serial arsonist. Lavines video was chilling, as it shows the man coming back four times to make sure the fire keeps burning. Lavine is glad it led to an arrest and inspired the citys new citywide registry of Home Security cameras. I think in the old days, absent any kind of Security Systems like this, the guy, i think he hit 12 or 13 times. He may have gone 20, 25 times. Reporter some critics of the home registry are concerned about citizen privacy, and said the city council is ignoring the real police problem, cops leaving the force. The main proponent of the home registry, councilman and mayoral candidate, sam liccardo, said the program would help officers track down useful video faster and said san jose will work to protect those while volunteering to be in the registry. The identity of people who participate is typically only disclosed when you have a court order and very compelling reasons, usually those identities are kept confident l confidential. People are going to have privacy concerns about this. Its a big brother type of solution. The real solution is people want a Police Officer at their door, taking a report, and solving a crime. The family of a Half Moon Bay teenager shot and killed by a deputy is taking legal action. The parents of Yanira Garcia today announced their federal civil rights claim. The 18yearold was shot and killed by a San Mateo County sheriffs deputy in june. Investigators say she was armed with a knife. Prosecutors cleared the deputy this past summer. Today, the familys attorney claimed the deputy was not properly trained. Theres a required cit, crisis intervention training, that the officers are supposed to have, and the sheriff will tell you, we didnt give him that necessary training. The suit also claims dispatchers were negligent in handling the original 911 call. Garcias relatives told dispatchers the teenager was off of her medication for schizophrenia. San Francisco Police are investigating the discovery of a body found in a lake at golden gate park. The body was found at mallard lake by a City Employee just before 10 00 this morning. The lake is located near 27th and lincoln. Thats in the western end of the park. There are no other details and the medical examiner has yet to release a cause of death. Happening now, we are learning more about the Mountain Lion that attacked a 6yearold boy in the cupertino foothills. Experts from the department of official and wildlife have finished analyzing dna evidence from the animals saliva found on the boys shirt. The evidence shows the Mountain Lion was male. Officers also closed Stevens Creek county park today in cupertino. The park is about a mile and a half away from where the attack happened on sunday. We have the two trackers, and the reason we only have two humans out there right now is that more people than that would disturb the smell. The cats are very sensitive. They detect humans. They typically will not come anywhere near people. Fish and game also installed new cameras in the area. The animal left scratches and puncture wounds on the boys back and neck. The damages and losses at this winery alone are estimated at a quarter of a million dollars. This is one of the tanks that kind of buckled. Not only did it make a mess of his barrel room, it damaged a good portion of the winerys 12,000gallon tanks. Here being only about 2 1 2, 2 miles from the epicenter, its been quite a challenge, for sure. Reporter tonight, an independent Wine Industry expert has released his assessment of the damage to napa valley wineries. Rob mcmillan with Silicon Valley banks Wine Division estimates damage at more than 80 million. He says its a number thats likely to rise. Theres somewhere around 500 wineries in the napa valley, and we estimate about 60 were impacted. About 25 had moderate damage, exceeding 50,000. These workers are harvesting wine while wearing hard hats tonight. And as construction crews shore up their historic tasting room, theyre making way for a popup tasting room due to open next week.
