George wallace in 1968 felt it was politically helpful for there to be at least a little bit of violence at his rallies. You have to ask the same question about donald trump this year. Reporter three days until primaries in five key delegaterich states. And the

is refusing to back down. Trump again promising hell bring folks together. We want to get along with everybody. And we can get along with people. Were going to unify the country. has denied the claims and called the reporter delusional. Erica . Katy tur for us tonight, thank you. Trumps rivals for the gop nomination are visibly frustrated with the today owes now defining their party, using words like grotesque and toxic to describe the clashes. there. Everything i teach my kids not to be. And the list is long. Reporter at the debate earlier this week, trumps rivals vowed to support the brash billionaire if he were the eventual nominee. Today, a visibly frustrated rubio says now hes not so sure. I still at this moment continue to intend to support the nominee. But its getting harder every day. Reporter kasich also wavering. Well see where it goes. Reporter only cruz stuck by his pledge. I committed at the outset, i will support the republican nominee. Reporter tonight the texas senator is campaigning in missouri. But the future of this race hinges on ohio and florida, make or break states for two candidates, and possibly their last stands against trump. Here in florida polling is ranging wildly, rubio down 6 to 20 points behind trump. So far former governor jeb bush hasnt endorsed anyone. Gabe gutierrez, thank you. For more now on the upheaval within the
Republican Party
, im joined by political director and moderator of meet the press, chuck todd. Chuck, we see the stop
Trump Movement
whose tone seems to be far more urgent. Is it having an impact. Reporter it hasnt so far. The stop
Trump Movement
gathered steam a couple of weeks ago and then it hit a roadblock called the voters. The voters voted and trump won fairly comfortably on super tuesday. Then it got some steam again. Then the voters voted and here we go again. Sometimes, some of this makes
Trump Supporters
dig in their heels even more. Perhaps nothing that has happened so far has done anything to somehow peel support away from trump. And as long as the three candidates are all staying in, and the three candidates sort of cant really agree on who to unify around, i dont know if this stop
Trump Movement
is ever going to get off the ground, to be honest. Its fascinating to see, we heard from marco rubio, from john kasich, that they really are wavering in their support of saying i will support the republican nominee because theres a very real chance it could be donald trump. Do you foresee a situation where neither one of them would support him as the nominee . Reporter i wouldnt be surprised. Look, they both need hail marys here to win the nomination. Ive been stunned that theyve stuck by this pledge to say that they will support the republican nominee. If they truly believe all of the things that they have said, marco rubio calls him a con artist, john kasich today said there is no place for that. If they truly believe their own rhetoric against donald trump, they undermine it by saying that they will go ahead and support him at the end of the day. Its sort of i think that that is why their criticism hasnt been taken as seriously by some voters, because theyre not actually backing it up by saying, you know what, i believe it so much that they pull a mitt romney, where mitt romney has said, no matter what hes not supporting donald trump. So im surprised they havent gone even farther. Chuck, thank you. Well catch more tomorrow on meet the press. Chucks guests include john kasich, ted cruz, and donald trump.
