I did speak briefly with a student visiting here who said he was a member of the chapter there in Southern California and was here to offer his condolences. I also reached out to the National Organization in north carolina. They say they were notified about the situation earlier today and they have asked their students to cooperate with the local authorities who are leading this investigation, so of course, still many, many questions but that is away we have for now. Witnesses say the vehicle was speeding when it went on the sidewalk through a railing and into the water all beginning this morning at knob hill foods. Witnesses were looking for somebody who could swim, one witness dove into the water. The moment i go under water it becomes completely black. I cant even see my hands. I looked a little bit and couldnt even find the car. Emergency crews arrived moments later. A rescue swimmer pulled the victim out of the submerged suv. He was later declared dead at highland hospital, his identity has not been released. Nobody else was with him when the vehicle crashed. And more off ocean beach, a man was walking on the rocks by the cliff house when a big wave came along and knocked him into the ocean. The 911 call went out, firefighters rushed to the scene, they performed cpr, the man was taken to the hospital with an irregular pulse, there is a happy ending to this, doctors say he is alive and recovering. Police say she was had hit and killed by a car this morning happening at 3 00 am near center road. A driver stayed on scene to try to help.
