The city wants to use that 250,000 to hire its own legal and engineering experts who are proficient in gas pipeline operations. Pg and e has declared the pipeline is safe. City leaders want to hire their own experts to guide them through the plethora of paper work. These experts wont physically inspect the pipeline, but they will work with pg and e. They want to now the age condition and the makeup of the pipeline. Then theyll translate their findings to council members. Theyre throwing lots of information and lots of experts at us. We want to sort out what we think is true and accurate and what questions do we need to ask the investigators to look into. Were fully committed to working with them to help demonstrate to them the pipeline will not break.
