Experts indicate there are at least 500 sexually exploited children in Alameda County alone, the fbi operation got a dozen of those kids off the streets. Youre looking at video provided by the fbi of operation cross country, a National Effort to arrest pimps who victimize children through prostitution and to rescue the children involved. If we can get one child off the street, thats a measure of success for me. But its a larger problem reporter the fbi says investigators in the bay area rescued five children through saturday and arrested 17 socalled pimps. Oakland is actually the we call the hub of the west for prostitution and human trafficking. Oakland in particular is known for child prostitution. Its a place where people bring children to exploit them and a place people come to exploit them. Reporter in oakland lieutenant kevin wily says they found two sexually exploited children walking international boulevard in broad daylight. They also arrested two men on charges of pimps. These are criminals, serious criminals who beat down people, rob people, shoot people. Its an avenue of crime like the drug dealing was in the 80s. Human trafficking and prostitution is the new crime here in the 21st century, especially in oakland. Its heartbreaking and despicable. People between the ages of 55 and 80 who smoke the equivalent of a pack a day for 30 years would qualify. Proponents say lung Cancer Screening is crucial because lung tumors are found too late, usually after people have symptoms. Opponents caution more than 96 of ct scans that initially test positive for lung cancer turn out to be false positives. Thats an issue because most of the time, in order to determine if something is a false positive, you need additional imaging, additional ct scans, increasing your risk of future cancers down the line. Its based on research by a doctor who has done correlations between heart rate and food allergies. What he found is people who eat a food theyre allergic to, within 30 minutes their pulse will jump 15 to 16 beats higher or more. If youre eliminating the foods youre sensitive to, it can eliminate lowgrade inflammation which can lead to weight gain through increased cortisol levels. Reporter craig martez says it helps him recognize sensitivity to wheats and cheese. Now he says what hes eating is fueling, not fighting his body. I talked with an allergen who said you shouldnt eliminate an entire food group based on this avmt you may need extensive medical tests to confirm food sensitivities. You need to do homework. If you eat three things for dinner, the app may show sensitivity but it doesnt tell you which food caused the reaction. You have to retest isolating each food.
