In dallas, the flowers, cards, and balloons piled up at a makeshift memorial for the five Police Officers killed in thursday nights shooting rampage. At baylor hospital, a demonstrator wounded that night thanked the officers who protected her. Yes, sir, im hit in my back. And that officer jumped on top of me. Covered me. And my son. And there was another one at our feet. And there was another one over our head. And it was several of them lined against the wall over there, and they just, they stayed there with us and i saw another officer i saw another officer get shot right there in front of me. And there was two. Reporter while the victims and loved ones try to heal, dallass police chief said the gunman had enough explosives to cause major damage throughout north texas. All he wrote letterings in blood on the wall. He was wounded on the second floor of the el Central Building and the negative device. Reporter police say the he scrawled rbe. Investigators are trying to determine the significance of the writing as the Investigation Continues in dallas. Tensions remain high in louisiana and minnesota where the deaths of two black men in Police Shootings sparked outrage in dallas. In baton rouge, louisiana, violence erupted when police began to arrest protesters blocking the street. In st. Paul, minnesota, police say more than 100 people were arrested in more than 20 officers were hurt. Overnight in a black lives matter protest. Today, more protests in new york, this one in union square with large, loud, and peaceful. Now the doors open at 5 30 this evening here at the memorial cathedral. The president spoke about the black lives Matter Movement to reporters in madrid, while there are always be protester cross the line at demonstrations, it is unfair to hold them all responsible for those bad apples. He called on everyone concerned about Police Shootings and racial bias to maintain a truthful and serious, respectful tone to help bring about real change. They are very excited, but also nervous. Its on for the sap center. They had butterflying just watching the girls compete because they know what theyre feeling. Reporter the fans are feeling it too. I just think that its a really big honor for them and also makes them nervous because theyre respecting like a state or a certain gym. Reporter tonight they are competing for the five sbots on the u. S. National team that will head to rio. They just had to teach themselves to not think about the end results. Reporter joy is a gymnast coach from florida who expects the gymnasts to focus on the task at hand and thats performing well tonight. Just trying to think about what theyre doing, theyre taking one routine at a time, one skill at a time and not thinking about thousand make it to the olympics, but how to hit their routines and just be proud of what theyre doing. She won three events at the swimming trials including the 200 backstroke against 2012 olympic darling missy franklin. This will fw the first and last olympics. The starnd grad recently got married, starting a new job after the games. Now her good friend will also be traveling with her to rio. Also made her first olympic team. Their youth coach says its been unbelievable to watch them both. If gives me chills, its amazing. Now on the mens side, adrian returning to the games, this will billion his third olympics. Hes wob three gold medals for his olympic career so far. Now that stanford grad looking to win another medal as well. The clayton native and high school product, one of bronze at the 2012 games. This year though he qualified for individual events to attend the games. His family runs the popular Pizza Restaurants in the east bay. Now in the south bay, local olympic hero has been training nonstop for months on end to bring home some more hardware as they call it. Marty, a san jose state alum has been training at the universitys dojo and has her sights on winning gold. Years ago in london, she fell short, but still came home with the bronze. It was a pretty spectacular loss. I saw an opportunity for a really big attack, and i was like this could be a gamewinning thing, and it actually backfired and i got thrown the biggest throw youve ever seen. So that has been something thats been plaguing me ever since. Now malloy is guided by san hose state coach yochi, hes 96 years old. He helped her in judo. Also coaches at san jose state, mentoring other olympic hopefuls. One a colton brown, but did end up qualifying for the games, really hung in there. Colton also graduated from san jose state. Some here to watch, as we mention, which female u. S. Gymnast will be headed to rio, a huge night for them. As we head towards tomorrow, windy on the coast, but inland well see out towards fairfield, helping to keep our temperatures in the 80s for now as we look at the forecast for places like the south bay, san jose, low 80s, mid to upper 80s south of downtown, San Francisco stayed in the 60s in the north bay, we will see temperatures in the mid to upper 80s around santa rosa. Those north areas of low pressure moves on. Thats the reason why weve been staying so cool lately. Temporarily, midweek warmup. Youll see numbers climbing through the 90s around midweek in san jose, temperatures climbing through the mid80s for wednesday and thursday.
