Bob some nervous moments for people who live there. Reporter good morning to you, the Flash Flood Warning just over three hours ago for places along the river which you can see behind us. As chris witnessed this morning, this area, this river, serves significantly short amount of time that she was here, several feet over just a few hours. Forecasters are pro predicts the san lorenzo will rise eight feet later this afternoon, which would be above flood stage. A local person ended up dead in the river over the weekend. On saturday morning, swift water rescuers pulled the body of a man that had been wedged against the trees. He was 46 years old. His family has been notified, but they wont be able to say whether he drowned until an autopsy is completed later this week. The rescue happened right behind dick sergeants home. We were standing here and looking down in the river, and on the two trees that are close together down there, it appeared that there was a body and we called 911. Deputies are still trying to figure out how that man ended up in the river. The Flash Flood Warning for this part of Santa Cruz County is in effect until 1 30 this afternoon. The National Weather service says you could see a rapid rise of water in low lying areas, if you shall driving and encounter a flooded road, you are advised to drive not drive through it, turn around. Just dont try to go through it. You dont know how deep that water could be. San mateo county, we are monitoring the floodflooding, t are under a Flood Warning. We know this is a floodprone area. We can show you the video of what it was doing within this past hour, really just moments ago and what they were doing, they are taking out the branches that are in the trash. Now, the point there is to make sure that the creek flows so that it flows into the bay so it can prevent any major flooding in the area. I spoke to the foreman, here is what he had to say about that. Im not anticipating much, just trying to keep it clean. The more it flows, the better i mean, the better chances of this staying down and not coming up. Like i said, just last week this creek had its highest water levels in nearly two denyicade. Right here in east pal according to the usgs, as you guys mentioned not too long ago a flood watch is in effect for this until this afternoon here in this area. We are live near the creek. And we see it is coming down steady. Its a sight we havent seen in a decade or so. This is the First Time Since 2006. The beautiful sight, though, is bringing some very real concerns. Water officials are pushing out water as fast as they can. The morgan hill office of Emergency Services is also advising people who live in the coyote estate the to consider sandbagging their homes. The santa clara Water District is also warning neighborhoods during the various flee markets. The Water District is also concerned about the rock springs neighborhood, that area around kelly park and the golden wheel Mobile Home Park which flooded back in 1997, 98. The Water District has since shored up that levy along coyote creek, which runs behind the Mobile Home Park. The levy is expected to be tested over the next 24 hours. We should say many of our resvoires are being tested right now. The lektsing ton reservoir, with all that rape still coming, there could be flooding. Creek and river levels, we are watching them closely. Some of them are near flood stage. They continue to rise as we go through the day. We know that the rain is thought done yet. As we get a look at where we will likely see some flooding today, the Alameda Creek under that Flood Warning, also coyote creek, expect it to rise above flood stage, and also a Flood Warning in effect for areas along the san lorenzo area.
