Harbau he resultswhat is he saying this ngme around . Reporter well, he was very ist. Ite. The team ceo walked away wrapping up his News Conference where he took questions for about the past 30 minutes here at levis stadium. We saw a judge york who said the season aged him because it was just that not much fun. He admitted he took a swing and miss in the hiring of tim whose record was 511, the teams worst season since 2011. This morning york spoke drefirey to fans and offered an apology. This season was frustrating on a number of levels. We took a step back from our ultimate goal of winning the super bowl. For that i want to apologize to our fans and for everybody that cares deeply about this team the way i do. I hear the criticism. Loudly. Whether thats talking to fans directly or thats social media or from planes flying over my head, the results of this season rest on my shoulders squarely. It wasnt good enough. Reporter now, as much respect as york has for tomsula who he repeatedly referred to, york said he just did not see the team improve collectively from the beginning of the season to the end under his leadership. He did say trent ball ki will remain on as general manager in spite of the fact he too was in charge of the team over the past several seasons, but as far as the coach search for a new coach goes york would not tip the teams hand as to who they might be looking at but that he did say he had a lot of confidence in balky to make that decision. Get a clear understanding of what we want. We want a leader. We want somebody that has a clear strategic vision. We definitely have a short list. Reporter during this mornings News Conference york never directly answered a question of whether or not he made a mistake in firing jim harbaugh, the former 49ers head coach who proceeded tomsula who took the team to the super bowl. The concord reports that fog can also carry with it toxic mercury from the burning of fossil fuels. Scientists say mercury levels contained in the fog may be 20 times above mercury levels found in rain. Those same scientists also say it is still a relatively small amount and poses no health danger. Happening today, the commute across the Golden Gate Bridge will change again. Starting today there will be three lanes going north and three lanes going south most days. You may recall back in september Bridge Managers tried a Pilot Program that switched those lanes to four north, two south during the evening commute. Turns out it really didnt help very much and actually backed up traffic going into the city. So Bridge Management will change lanes only on thursdays and fridays, no other days, and only for a short time. This is off the already low prices we saw in 2015. In fact, they say the average person saved about 700 on fuel last year, and there continues to be a glut on the market. So even when prices go up as they always do in the first quarter, we dont expect them to reach the heights that we had seen in 2015. And were starting off the new year with gas prices down about a quarter from what they were this time last year. And heres a look at the prices in the bay area. Theyre up here the start of the new year. Price jumped nearly 2 cents a gallon over the past week. The average price in San Francisco 2. 81, thats up 1. 08 and both oakland and san jose average price 2. 71 up two cents. Looks like its fwoing to be a rainy week, but behind kari i can see a few spots of blue. Yes, sun coming out every now and then. And were taking a break as we take a live look from San Francisco. You can see the sun. It comes out and then it hides behind those clouds again. And this is behind that first round of rain we had earlier this morning. It was just enough to wet the streets and everything. And now as we take a look at some of those rainfall totals, it really wasnt that much, up to 0. 10 in most spots and few isolated spots about a quarter of an inch in the north bay. Now the temperature is at 50 degrees in livermore. Its 52 in oakland. San francisco 50 degrees. So it is starting to warm up just a bit from earlier this morning. And this is the way it pans out as we go into tonight. We will still have the sun coming out peeking out from behind those clouds. And then it may start raining. And then it starts and then it starts raining again. But the heavier more widespread rain gets here later tonight. And we can tell di the shades of yellows and oranges shows more energy. This is what radar could look like. It all rolls out as we go into tomorrow morning and with that second round of rain. So the rain futurecast shows that with the heavier rain moving in tonight and into the morning it brings us about a half of an inch of rain in fremont, and close to an inch of rain in san jose. Palo alto may have about threequarters of an inch. So quite a bit of a soaking. And thats not all. We will have a break as we go into tomorrow afternoon. And then another round of some heavy rain moving in early wednesday morning. That could impact the morning commute as well. We see that lasting for several hours with some very intense rain. And its all because of this. This is a look at the upper level winds and the jet stream. And that carries those low pressure systems right into the bay area for the next few days. So the likely result, well, we may have four storms in the next seven days. And weve already had one, which was just some light rain. But some heavier rain expected between tuesday and then again on wednesday. The rainfall outlook brings us for the next seven days about 1. 5 to 2. 5 inches of rain, maybe slightly less amounts in a few spots. So the next three days will be raining off and on, not the entire time, but highs reaching into the mid to upper 50s. So our temperatures remain constant, not a big change there. And into wednesday in the east shore were looking at 53 degrees, trivalley 59 degrees. So a little bit warmer in a few spots.
