His mom said he just graduated paramedic school. But before he could continue trying to save lives, he was robbed of his own, a shock from which she will never fully recovered. Reporter at the Fire Department is looking into whether that minicame up z van or one of those two vehicles might have been the source of the fire that hurt seven people and caused a lot of damage and destruction here on anchor drive in bay point. When you look at this video, this is helmet cam video. You get a better understanding of why it took the Fire Department 70 minutes to put out these fires when they arrived, two of the homes were fully involved. The fire destroyed those two homes, damaged another, and an ember started another fire that damaged a house across the street. The Fire Department had to immediately go on the defensive when they arrived. They also had to be careful, because there was a power pole on fire. It took pg and e 45 minute toss deenergize that line. A young man was inside one of the homes. He said he heard a loud explosion, thats what woke him up. That man was dropped off at the hospital by Alameda County sheriffs deputies with no warning to the medical staff. Theres a lawsuit aimed at preventing this from ever happening again. Terry mcsweeny has the story. The alleged Sexual Assault happened in the middle of the night. He attacked her in a sexual way. Arrested Elias Michael diamond, he had been dropped off at the hospital after being arrested the previous week for indecent exposure. Nobody was ever alerted to the fact this man had been acting out sexually before or this was a man who had a significant violent history. Hes referring to diamonds arrest in 2004 for killing a roommate and slashing another at a psychiatric home. His violent history was not shared by the deputies dropping him off. This is somebody who should been guarded. That indecent case only a misdemeanor. Quite honestly, with all the realignment and the different propositions, a lot of misdemeanors allow people out of jail. That says nelson just last we dont release people out of our jail and tell people on the bus, oh, by the way, this guy was on this charge and has this medical history. We dont do that. The lawsuit filed on behalf of the nurse asks the Sheriffs Office for unspecified monetary damages, hopes it will achieve much more. Federal and local authorities are investigating a series of shootings and other incidents. This is one of our largest drinking wearries advisories in San Francisco. Reporter on the highest hill in San Franciscos sunset district is the sunset reservoir. A few of the pacific ocean. Its covered in those of solar panels reaching through the fog to create the citys largest solar site, but what is most startling is the part that the sun never touches. Sunset reservoir covers about eight city blocks, the capacity is 177 million gallons. Reporter dozens of feet below the ground. About the size of four costcos. They store millions of gallons. This holds approximately 267 olympicsized swimming pools. Reporter once every five year cleaning that left the tank temporarily drained also made for a rare opportunity to peek inside. Normally we would be 30 feet under water. Its a sign of a little bit eerie. On a recent day workers scoured silt from the bottom of the reservoir. Their work illuminated by giant spotlight. Our workers are down with hoses, brooms, and all the sweeping normal the Utility Commission would use hoses above grom to regularly flush pipes. But because of drought, we are cutting back on that program, thus its even more important we keep these reservoirs really clean. This was built in the 60s to hold water flowing down from heche hechee and yosemite. Its theyll, a small dent in the 65 million gallons. Its really designed to just make or water supply system more rye liable in the face of events like this prolonged drought. San francisco hasnt used groundwater for drinking since the 30s, a new accept is set to open in 2017, but in just a few days, water and darkness will once again flood this reservoir as the citys workhouse quietly goes back to the job.
