Protesters continue to demand, they said in the name of transparency. Darren wilson, hes been a Police Officer for six years, has had no disciplinary action taken against him. Reporter this morning, were learning details on what took place before Darren Wilson shot and killed 18yearold Michael Brown unarmed at the time. Just released, these images captured on a surveillance camera in ferguson in the minutes leading up to the shooting. The man in the white with the red cap is the 18yearold brown. According to a Police Report, officer wilson was at a call nearby when he got the call for a stealing in progress and was given a description by dispatch of a black male in a white tshirt that was walking towards quiktrip, another Convenience Store nearby. The report details a strongarm robbery at the first unnamed store, alleging brown steals cigars, and when the clerk comes out from behind the counter and attempts to stop brown from leaving, brown grabs the clerk by the shirt and forcefully pushed him back into a display rack. The Police Report also gives the time frame. 11 51 a. M. , 911 call reporting the strong arm robbery. A minute later, the dispatch gives the suspect description. At 12 01, wilson encounters brown on the street. At 12 04, the second officer arriving. The shooting has already happened. After four straight nights of violent protests, the people in ferguson finally had their first peaceful night, with hundreds of protesters in the streets, maintaining calm as strait troopers walked alongside them in a show of solidarity. The question now is, will the peace remain. You have to do something about this we want justice is it too wrong . Emotions still running very high. A missouri Highway Patrol captain who was born and raised around ferguson and who lives there now has taken the lead in security. The Ferguson Police chief says he will have an update this afternoon. Well have details at 5 00 and 6 00, and we expect something different. This time the police chief says he will take questions, something he did not do this morning. And so many unanswered ones still. Thanks so much, steph. New at 11 00, Santa Clara County is reporting this years first case of west nile virus in humans. Five residents in the county have been infected with the virus. Two had the more severe, invasive form of the disease. One had west nile fever. The two others have no symptoms. Last year, there were only two human cases of west nile virus in the county. Health officials warn the risk of getting west nile virus will be especially high over the next two months. San jose police hope to learn more today about the woman who was shot and killed by officers after they say she threatened them. This cell phone video taken in south san jose shows the woman pointing what appears to be a gun at officers. In the video, the officers tell her several times the to drop the weapon and put her hands up. She did not. And officers shot her. That weapon turned out to be a cordless power drill, which was painted black. This is a picture of that drill, released by police. A 911 caller initially told police that the woman was threatening her family with an u zi. The family says the woman had bipolar disorder. Police are warning fremont residents to lock up and be prepared after three home invasions in the last two weeks. The most recent happened at a home in a highend gated community. Police say in the latest case, two men broke into the home and held a couple at gunpoint. The gunmen took off with the couples valuables and financial information. Neighbors think the suspect got into that gated community through a hole cut in the face. Police are still looking for the people responsible for two of the home invasions. Major change is coming to seaworld. The company just announced, it is expanding the habitat for its killer whales a three theme parks. The new enclosure in san diego will be almost double the size of the current one, holding about 10 million gallons of water. Those changes come in the wake of the documentary, black fish, which tries to raise Public Awareness to what Animal Rights activists say amounts to animal cruelty. The day after the big bash, heres a live look at Candlestick Park. Quiet there, except for the people taking down the set for sir Paul Mccartney, who hosted a huge event there at candlestick. Earlier, San Francisco police told me, it was worse last night, because you had commuter traffic mixed in. After spending at least hundreds of dollars for these tickets, many missed the concert because of the gridlock. Is insane reporter it was a once in a lifetime chance to see the final public event at Candlestick Park before its demolished. But for hundreds, if not thousands, they never got to see sir Paul Mccartney. It took many people hours to get close to the venue because of horrible traffic. And even then, there was no more parking. Rizma flew in from pennsylvania. It took us 20 minutes to get out. Im angry at the city. Makes me not want to come back and do anything here. Reporter rainey smith from tracy was looking forward to seeing mccartney, because shes never seen him before in concert. Starting her journey after meeting up with people in san carlos. It was one of the most poorly plans events that ive ever witnessed. We never got out of the car to watch the concert, never heard much more than a few chords of the music. All we saw was a bunch of people in the same boat as us. Reporter ray allen from vancouver, canada, was one of the lucky ones. He drove in from oakland and barely made it. Somehow i lucked out and managed to get into the stadium seconds before mccartney came on stage. Reporter were told the lines were also humongous for muni. Shuttles as well. Ive heard from passengers that they were begging drivers to let them off the pus, so they could walk the rest of the way, and then he did get off the bus. That was another nugget from this disastrous commute if show started also an hour late, and maybe that helped people make the concert. Mccartney was maybe caught up in that same traffic. And bob, they are promising theyre going to learn from their first event two weeks ago and they have all of this candlestick mess looming over their heads as well. Reporter good morning, kris and laura. You know, we just spoke with the valley transportation authority. The people who run the light rail by levi stadium. The Transit Agency does acknowledge that the earthquakes game from two weekends ago didnt go quite as smoothly as it could have. You might have recalled two weeks ago, some people reported having to wait close to an hour to get on light rail after the game. So the vta is making some changes for this sundays preseason opener, with the understanding that there will still be a wait. Just hopefully not as long as it was, as an hour. The Transit Agency will be adding an extra express bus line, so there will be six express bus lines instead of five. Theyll run bus service in parallel with the light rail line, leaving downtown in tasmin. And this will be the first event that the pocket track is up and running, which will allow the agency to have extra cars ready to go in case theres an overload. And there are teams that people wont see, but they should feel the effects of all of them. And were going to make our best effort to get the ride to levi stadium smoother. And afterwards, were going to take a look at our plan again and see what went right and what else we can tweak to make it even better the next time. Theyre suggesting that you Pay Attention to the customized directions that are given for your specific driving location, your parking spot. Apparently, not many fans followed that the last time. That might have added to some of the Traffic Congestion. The 49ers, the city of santa clara, and police have also come up with ideas on how to tweak the flow of traffic coming in. On sunday, they will open extra lanes on major roads, coming into levi. Theyve added some signage. They will adjust the timing of traffic signals. Theyll have extra officers manning intersections, the intersections that caused problems the last time. And there will be more parking. The last time the Great America lot was shut down, was not available to the fans, that will be open to fans. Heres something you can also take a look at. If you come back out live on your iphone, on your mobile device, the city of santa clara is now streaming the Traffic Cameras that are located right around levi stadium. So if youre a navigator, the person preferably whos not in the drivers seat but in the passenger cease seat, can stay here and get an idea of what the congestion is like, to give you better advice on how to get into the stadium. Again, the team would like you to download their mobile app or to follow directions that theyve been given to their specific parking spot. Hopefully, that will alleviate some of the Traffic Congestion. City Council Voted last month to turn the parking lane on holly street into another traffic lane, to reduce congestion. But residents say it will do more harm than good. Parking is currently restricted only during commute hours. But the new ordinance would ban parking from 7 00 a. M. To 6 00 p. M. An attorney representing holly street residents says the city council did not adequately notify them ahead of the vote and the description on the agenda was not clear. Residents were threatening to sue if the city council does to the repeal the ordinance. The city says it does not believe there was any misunderstandings with that ordinance.
