I spoke with his employer by phone early this morning in fort bragg. That is where he worked. The employer tells me that the 24yearold wasnt even that big of a sports fan, but he was really looking forward to coming to the game to attend it with his brother and his dad who lives in southern california. Tells me that jonathan was a plumbers apprentice, and they came to the game. It was 90 minutes afterwards when the game ended at at t park when the men got into a fight, possibly with giants fans, but police havent said exactly what those men were wearing. Denver was stabbed, taken to the hospital where he died. Now, the giants and dodgers, of course, longtime rivals, and fan violence has spilled over before. Most notably the worst when giants fan brooen stowe was attacked at giants stadium. With another game on tap, police say they are stepping up security. I spoke with his employer, and heres what he had to say. Pretty emotional this morning for us here. Really a nice person. Always had a smile on his face. You know, always willing to help. Help an old lady across the street, you know. Just a really thoughtful person. There really is no place for violence. All of that rivalry needs to be kept on the field, so for us with the Police Department we want to make sure that San Francisco is a safe place to come and visit and attend these functions. We will have increased presence tonight. Well have increased police presence. Were looking at doing undercover operations. The San Francisco police had earlier only said that they had three people detained and not arrested, and they were speaking with them, but i did just hear from the police chief himself and he tells me that they do now have two people in custody. Theyre believed to be somewhere between 18 and 23 years old. San Francisco Police plan to release more information in about 15 minutes when theyre holding a press conference. Were expecting to learn more about the man p suspected of killing a student monday night. They called a 2 00 press conference. 30yearold nikome is accused of shooting justin very well des. He was a sophomore at San Francisco state and also on the water polo team. The suspect randomly shot veldez in the engelside neighborhood. He was arrested late tuesday night. Tonight a kajts light vigil is planned for valdez on the campus. That begins at 7 00. The fate of two dogs involved in the mauling of a martinez boy last month could be decided today. 10yearold Hunter Kilbourn was visiting Family Friends in antiok when a pit bull attacked hem. His mother tells us that the attack was so severe part of hunters ear was torn off. Hunter is doing much better today. Weve also learned its not the first time that that same dog has done this. According to city records, one of the children living in the home with the dog was also attacked. No word on the extent of those injuries. A Memorial Service will be held today for a usf professor killed in a fire in berkeley earlier this month. Dr. Andrew goodwin taught media studies at usf and authored a book and also several articles. On campus he was nicknamed the professor of pop. Goodwin was killed in a fire at his Apartment Building in berkeley back on september 10th. Firefighters pulled him from the top floor of the building, but he later died at a hospital. Todays Memorial Service will be held at the xavier hall on the usf campus at 4 30 this afternoon. On the peninsula now mountainview police are concerned this morning about a big event at shoreline amphitheater this weekend, and its not because of the noise and traffic, but the possible use of drugs. Beyond wonderland is a twoday electronic dance event seen here in this Youtube Video posted by the organizers. Theyre called insomniac events. If you ask students at san jose state, theyll tell you its a rave with a reputation for drugs. Police and Health Officials are warning those who attend to avoid even reports anything illegal. Everyone will just laugh at you if you say that to them because its a rave, and at raves generally thats, like, the atmosphere. They say dont do drugs to students, and people or whoever goes, they do them anyway. Senator Dianne Feinstein weighing in saying webs shes concerned about the growing use of party drugs. Riders dont have a voice, and the one place where they cant have a voice is getting the state legislation passed that prevents a strike from happening. They can have their disagreements or strikes, but it shouldnt be a consequence of hurting our economy here in the bay area and hurting the 400,000 riders that depend on bart. They have come up with a contingency plan just in case that would include 200 free charter buses, extra carpool lanes and hours and limited bart service with managers driving the train. The plan, though, still needs approval from barts board of directors. South Bay High School teacher will be in court today facing charges that accused him of having sex with a student. 32yearold hugo cortezguzman teaches math at santa clara high school. He is accused of having sex multiple times well a 17yearold girl. Administrators say guzman has worked at that school, and he has a good track record. He is on a compulsory leave of absence. East Bay High School has been stripped of its academic Performance Index rating because it violated state testing rules. The Bay Area News Group reports teachers at jamsz Logan High School in union city allows students to complete parts of a standardized test they had started on a previous day. The School District says it reported to the state soon after discovering it. Administrators say it was an honest mistake, and no cheating occurred. He was released from prison this morning. The sentence given to rambolt prompted widespread protest for being too lenient, and the judge in the case was criticized for comments that placed responsibility on the victim who he described as older than her chronicle cal age. Rambolted will remain on probation while prosecutors appeal the case to the state supreme court. New this morning, we are getting our first look at a collapsed parking lot at that mall in nairobi, kenya, where militants held off police for four days. 72 people were killed, and 175 injured when militants stormed inside ask took control of the mall. The red cross says 71 people are still missing. The Al Qaedalinked monthliy militant group has claimed responsibility for this attack. As we speak, a team of International Investigators is inside the mall. Theyre getting fingerprints and dna to try to determine the identities and nationalities of those gunmen. When you chill moist air, it condenses into droplets, and we see it as fog. I didnt know there were things called fog bows. If aaron looks into the fog, it will be from aarons point of view. This is different than a rainbow how . If you look at it, its actually an ark of light like a rainbow, but its lacking color. Its a white rainbow. Thats because fog droplets are so tiny they cant make the colors that those big fat rain drops do. Its more like a pastel. Pastel or white. Do you get a sense small the raindrops are or the fog drops. Lets grab this. Couldnt find it there. Can you fog a mirror . I have beautiful clear mirror looking at the sky. If i put the mirror over in the fog it gives you a good sense of how tiny the droplets are. You look at the tiny sparkling droplets like dust. These are really tiny drops. Okay.
