reporter: the family has identified the girl as 16-year-old elita elie orton yeah. her stepmom says officers brought her to their hayward home at 3:00 a.m. this morning. the girl had given officers a false name and they needed the family to identify her. >> she was in shock. i was telling her in spanish what are you thinking, what are you doing? if you're watching tonight turn yourself in and face the consequences. on fifth and cherry they say two graupzoups were involved in a gun battle and the kid was caught in the cross fire. his current condition is unknown. they're looking for at least five spuspects. and a san mateo business was targeted twice. jean what's the catch here? >> reporter: the owner of the atlas skate shop here in san mateo, wanted to install a roll up security door but this is a historic building so no bars are allowed outside. and you can see why he wants additional security not just one broken window two. and security video shows them breaking the door. once again, stealing clothes. >> to know someone's break in nonstop kind of sucks. >> it was frustrateing because i know how hard local shops work and shops like this actually help invest locally and they sponsor young kids. >> reporter: the owner of atlas doesn't want to talk on camera but he isn't allowed to install a roll up security door. he's hoping someone recognizes the suspect. they would like to see more cameras in downtown san mateo, cameras that may have caught the license plate on the blue hatch back. >> it's safer for us too. so if something ges down it can be recorded. >> this conversation about additional security cameras downtown is expected to continue. in the mean time atlas is offering a reward that leads to convictions in this case. >> thank you, jean. this is another
