Of course with the latest on the weather, meteorologist anthony slaughter here right now. Anthony . We saw quite a bit of rain throughout the day today and now that rain is still coming to an end in some parts but were till seeing the rain fall, especially down in monterey bay, thats where the heavier stuff is falling right now. Overnight you can expect more of an isolated shower chance. Not everybody will see the rain as we head through the overnight hours into the early Morning Hours but we will see more cloud cover than anything else. Well start you off with you can see the camera shaking in san francisco, breezy there with the south bay that has areas of rain and along the peninsula as well. Thats what well look at through the overnight hours. Just a consistent pattern of damp weather. On the futurecast you can see around 3 00 many the morning well see a few isolated thunderstorms popping up here and there. I dont think it will be Severe Weather but nonetheless we could hear a rumble of thunder two as we head to bed tonight. Even by 5 00 tomorrow morning a lot of that activity stays concentrated across the coast and the open waters. We, again, could still see a few brief thunderstorms as we head through the Morning Hours. Look what happens towards the midday tomorrow and into the afternoon hours. A lot of that activity pushes off toward the Central Valley and then we start to see more of the cloud cover push in for tomorrow evening because here comes our next storm system. By monday that will offer more showers by midday. So for tomorrow, not expecting a whole lot of shower activity, more brief activity if we get anything at all. But i do think well see a good mix of sun and clouds. 64 in morgan hill, 63 in san jose. The peninsula not overly warm. We only got in the 50s. 60 will be a few degrees warmer in san mateo. San francisco only in the 50s for today. Right near 60 for tomorrow and same story for the north bay. Santa rosa barely got into the 60s today. 61 for tomorrow. Fremont 63 and livermore right at 64 degrees. All right, as i was telling you, we have more rain in the forecast and, of course, that means more snow and that continues to fall across the sierra. Expecting another foot and a half on top of what has already fallen. So definitely have to have those chains if you are headed that way. Monday into tuesday our next storm system will take place. That will hug the coast monday during the day. Showers will arrive and the thing about this system is the core of it, the center of it will move right over the bay area. So what were going to find with this system as it moves through on tuesday is an increase in our winds and the potential for more strong and severe thunderstorms just like what we saw across portions of chico today. Of course well be tracking it all for you along, nbcbayarea. Com as well. We couldnt get any rain all winter long, now here we are first week of spring and we cant stop getting rain. Just remarkable.
