Police do not regard this as a targeted shooting. Moments ago, they released a Surveillance Video showing one of the two suspects one of the officers was shot in the back and the arm. The other shot in the chest. They are both expected to survive. Police were trying to determine whether a man who later walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound to his back was connected to this case. The shooting comes one day after mayor bill de blasio spoke for the first time about the tension between him and some members of the nypd. During a News Conference to report on the decline in crime, he gave this reaction to several Police Officers who turned their backs on him at the funerals of two slain officers. And i cant understand why anyone would do such a thing in the context like that. A grand juror who took part in the Michael Brown shooting case is suing missouri special prosecutor bob mcculloch. According to the aclu the anonymous juror wants the right to speak about the grand jury investigation into the death of the shooting death of Michael Brown by a former Ferguson Police officer. The complaint filed in federal court contends its wrongly been implied all 12 jurors believed there was no evident to support charges. A spokesperson for mccullochs office said mr. Mcculloch has not been served so he has no comment at this time. According to current missouri law, a grand juror could be imprisoned for up to a year for talking about a grand jury proceeding without permission from the court.
