The senate . Theyre not here. Reporter theyre back this afternoon likely to reject the offer on the table. Republicans say theyll fund the government and prevent the shutdown only if the health law is delayed one year. Theres a time and place to debate obamacare. But not at a time when millions of innocent people are held hostage. Simply delaying it is done for a big corporation, thats a compromise. Reporter some democrats say theyll get rid of an attach on medical devices. Not with a gun to my head or the risk of shutting down the government. Reporter whos to blame if theres a shutdown in. The president is the one saying i will shut down government if you dont give me everything i want on obamacare. He wants the checkbook. He wants control. But this was a calculated strategy to drive the country to the cliff and then say, give us what we want. Reporter theres a chance republicans could come back with one final offer today with or without strings attached. We have 186 employees who would be furloughed.
