he's worked at a nurse at 7 hospitals in colorado in the last 8 years. >> what'ssworse investigators think he may have more victims. lance hernandez is learning patients ate hospital in greeley have also come forward. >>reporter: one of those want to prosecute. the other did talk to ft. collins police once they widened their investigation. as you mention police are wondering how many other victims there may be out there. >> any time you have someone a nurse who is position of authority that's concerning because there's a level of trust that is important to maintain. >>reporter: thomas moore was emergency center last june after authorities learned about one of the victims there. she was at the hospital because of severe migraines. moore recordly told her he was a massage therapy effort and tried to reach lower. moore reportedly tried to friend her on facebook twice. she felt she was being stalk. the ame thing happened to a victim at peter valley hospital moore gave her morphine for pain she drifted to sleep. something occurred in scott bluff nebraska. it took a while for some of the -`victims to come forward. >> often victims say that they feel embarrassed or ashamed of what happened. and so that's the reason they don't report or they wait to report. >>reporter: now uu health the umbrella group that operates peter valley hospital greeley emergency center in greeley told me they thoroughly investigated this incident. they terminated the employee in june of 2015 and reported him now i'm told that the nursing board won't comment about casees like this won't acknowledge there is a investigation but we have learned he still has a valid nursing license in colorado. to share tears with us because we cry every day still and always will. so for him to have the moral leadership and the coorage to state his purposes and share tears with us and the nation was quite moving. >> sandy phillips jessica goudy was killed in the aurora shooting. he was surrounded by families of shooting victiis from all over the country as he announced executive actions on gun control. >> he laid outta series of nnnlegislative steps to tighten firearm sales in the u.s. strengthening background checks and kkeping the guns out of hands of dangerous people. >> we saw state representative president along with two state lawmakers recalled for their support of gun control. there were also family members of those lost at sandy hook and the aurora theater shooting. mark you talked to people on both sides of this issue. >>reporter: that's right. and that's why my osha fields pollard's brother he was killed 10 years ago by gun violence. since then she and her mother representative rhonda fields have been working very hard to get legislature laying for stronger background checks throughout colorado. that's why today's announcement by president obama came as such good news to their family. it didn't come as good news though for everybody. dudley brown with rocky mountain gun owners he says that what the president is trying to do is illegal and simply unconstitutional. brown says this is more than checks. he says the president's actions show he's trying to take away privately owned firearms. >> we believe what the presideet's doing here is not unconstitutional. >> it's just making sure that people have a background check. whoever has a lethal weapon that they are not on a watch list because they are terrorists. >>reporter: along with stronger background checks the president wants to hire more atf agenns and get funding for access to mental health with faces on them. a 9-year-old boy is recovering from a gunshot wound to the head at children hospital in aurora tonight. `he boy was shot by his little brother yesterday afternoon in trrnidad. police say the children found a handgun in a parked car they were in. the boys were in the care of a family friend at the time of the shooting. police haven't released the names of the children and no arrests have been made so far. >> a minnesota mom who came to colorado to have her con joined twwns last august says she's bannee by children's hospital colorado. hannah and olivia mccullough were delivered by c-section august 26th. 0 live ya died. hannah who is now named savannah survived. she wrote how children's a chance. restricted from seeing her daughter. she writes she's banned from the hospital and is suing trying to get her father moved. children's hospital says it can't comment about this pending lawsuit. some united passengers had an early morning scare their plane slid off the runway while taking off from spokane washington to dia. fortunately no one was injured no significant damage to the plane. people told us onboard said it was bump you but had no clue what was going sometimes turn into 13 and 14 hour shifts. so that puts a lot of stress upon the officers. -`>>reporter: with departments across tte metro area also hiring and the negative perceetions of police. sergeant she land says it's becoming harder to recruit new officers. >> when that happens your pool gets smaller and smaller. >>reporter: which is why they are now offering a nontraditional opportunity. >> we're looking to hire people who were-thon certified put them through a police academy. >>reporter: commerce city will attend the police academy and pay them an hourly rate while they
