morning, residents in larimer county were told to shelter in place overnight, while investigators searched for a shooting suspect. two brothers apparently had gotten into an argument, one shot the other and then ran this happened on overland trail in larimer county, the victim was transported to the hospital. is this a map? the suspect is still out there, people can go about their business this morning, just be cautious, that's what we're being told. the suspect is described as an hispanic man, 140 pounds, last seen wearing a white t-shirt, stained with blood and white shorts. if you see him, call the police. overseas now, a fire at a warehouse in russia has killed a faulty lamp in the warehouse. flammable liquids and paper products were stored inside. a flash flood emergency issued late last night for downtown kansas city, missouri. it pounded the metro, with 7 inches of rain. the service said some water rescues were reported, we will keep an eye on this situation there and of weather here across colorado. high pressure will stay in control as we head throughout today, but mostly it will dominate tomorrow, so we still are the slight chance for storms -?in the forecast. for next week, so it was feeling a lot like fall over the past few days but we'll continue to feel the heat of summer as we head into this next week. there are chances for a few aaternoon and evening he is being held on a $50,000 bond. a construction worker was killed last night, he was hit by a semi truck, it happened at highway 119, weld county road 5, not far from longmont. the man was directing traffic when he was hit. police are now investigating what caused the crash. a mystery this morning, human remains were found in the wood there is last night, have been there. they say it could be anywhere between a year and ten years. so some clothes and other items were found with the bones and the remains will be tested on tuesday. we asked investigators, they say they have no reason to believe that these remains could belong to dillon red wine t 13-year-old who disappeared in dur rang, 60 miles away, only some of his remains have been found. this morning, we are learning much more about a fort co killed by the police after officers say jerry jackson came at them with a knife. we looked into jackson's past, he just filed for divorce a couple of months ago, he's been arrested before, for dust and domestic violence. well, this is a really difficult story to tell, this young mother is now dead. chelsea russell died while saving her two-year-old soo, at lake powell police officers weren't injured at all in this shootout..3 that suspect was hit and taken to a hospital. we're told that a second suspect was also arrested, it's unclear what relationship the second suspect and the first suspect shared, but the second suspect again, here at fox ann elsworth, we're following development, some investigators just arrived on the scene. we'll follow the developments foothills, slight chance for seeing those storms that develop, just be aware that they hhve the potential to produce heavy rain, and gusty winds up to 40 miles per hour about but taking a look around the denver metro area, as you can see, we aren't expecting precipitation here, but we can't rule out the slight chance later on. overnight tonight, we should stay very pleasant. also, it is broncos preseason game against the l.a. ram, kick off at 7:00. we do have a chance for storms, they'll end very early, so overall, a very mild and pleasant night. for the game, should stay in the 60s and 70s. so 55 is our overnight low. so we'll start tomorrow on a sunny note and mid 80s -?so this weekend, it will feel very lovely outside, we'll start to see the temperatures ramp back up as we head into
