Today, president obama appeared for her in philadelphia, and he looked a little bit like a retired athlete thrilled to be back in the game. Heres nancy cordes. And i got whooped here in pennsylvania. She whooped me. Reporter president obama sought to inoculate clinton today against questions about her health. You want to debate whos more fit to be our president . One candidate whos traveled to more countries than any secretary of state ever has, has more qualifications than pretty much anyone who has ever run for this job, and the other whoin isnt fit in any way, shape, or e abroad and be its commander in chief. Reporter his comments were just what the doctor ordered for a recuperating clinton who spent the day accepting flower deliveries at her chappaqua, new york, home. We always like the new shiny thing. I benefited from that when i was a candidate. And we we take for granted sometimes what is steady and true. And Hillary Clinton is steady d she is true. Reporten Vice President biden questioned trumps stamina. M. Id like to jog with him. I dont think he could keep up. Reporter but he admitted the clinton camp could have been more open. They screwed up. The staff acknowledged they should have on friday just straight up said, shed been diagnosed with pneumonia. Reporter clinton has signaled it was her decision to keep quiet. Di i just didnt think it was going to be that big a deal. Reporter a decision Trumps Campaign manager initially criticized. Its incredibly important toi diagnosis of pneumonia. Reporter but today, Kellyanne Conway seemed to set a different standard for her own candidate, who has released even fewer details about his health. I dont know why we need such extensive medical reporting when we all have a right to privacy. I reporter Clintons CampaignJust Announced that she will be getting one more full day of rest here in chappaqua before resuming her campaign duties. She was originally scheduled to appear in las vegas tomorrow, scott, but now, those honors will be done by her husband. Pelley nancy cordes, thank you. Reporter there was a nameplate for Brian Pagliano at todays hearing, but the former state Department Official who set up Hillary Clintons private email server was a noshow. E House Oversight committee if anybody is under any illusion that im going to let go of this and let it sail off into the sunset, they are very ill advised. Reporter two outside i. T. Reporter one witness did testify, an aide to former president bill clinton, who set up the email account. Nd and you had full access to the whole server the entire time that you were working for the clintons . D yes, i had access to the server. And you have no security clearance . S reporter Justin Cooper said while he destroyed some of Hillary Clintons old mobile devices, the information was backed up beforehand. Brian pagliano pleaded the fifth behind closed doors in other hearings. Scott, his lawyers said he would have done the same today, but the only reason to make him appear in person would be to publicly humiliate him. Pelley Julianna Goldman into the washington newsroom. On julianna, thank you. Le donald trump was in the battleground state of iowa today, hitting clinton with the ammunition she provided. Heres major garrett. While my opponent slanders you as deplorable and irredeemable, i call you hardworking american patriots who love your country and want a Better Future for all of our people. Reporter for donald trump, the contrast with Hillary Clinton grew harsher today, linking her remarks about Trump Supporters to her use of an unsecured private email server. Her comments applause led her to violate federal law as secretary of state, hide and delete her emails. Te reporter trumps criticism extended to domestic policy, turf he has only recently begun defining with ideas of his own. This a late attempt to catch up to clintons comparatively larger policy portfolio. Hillary clinton is running a policyfree campaign. She offers no ideas, noli solutions, and only hatred and derision. Reporter at the ur, ivanka daddy, daddy, we have to do this. And its true. Shes very smart and shes right. R reporter he will tonight call for six weeks of guaranteed maternity leave, federally financed, trump promises, by savings achieved through eliminating unemploymentvi insurance fraud. Trump will also promise to maker child care expenses including child tuition tax deductible, for individuals earning up to 250,000 and couples earning half a million. Taxes will be eligible for tax credits. Trump has ignored policy specifics for most of this campaign but has recently warmed to the task. Scott, the public water crisis in flint, michigan, offers an apt illustration. Asked in january what to do about toxic lead levels, trump had no comment. Tomorrow he will deliver a speech on rebuilding the nations infrastructure, including water supplies, in flint. Pelley major garrett, thanks. Today she joined a steady stream of residents at the Miami Beach Police station for free zika testing. It will likely be weeks before she knows if shes infected. Is it a yes . Is it a no . Whats going on . Its going to drive me crazy. Lo become a bloodboiling wait for patients and doctors. Fr results from the statefunded zika tests have been taking more than a month to be processed. For those who can afford private lab testing, the waiting is much shorter, often less than a week. You have 500 test results that youre waiting to get back. How long you have been waiting on that . Some of those, weve been waiting for six or seven weeks. B reporter dr. David andrews heads the Pathology Lab at miamis Jackson Memorial hospital. Hes been waiting for test hosults dating back to july. He was told many of them have hasnt been processed. Or were hoping that the vast majority of these specimens havo been tested, and that theyre just theyre just trying to find the paper results so we can enter them into the system. Reporter this sounds crazy. Find the paper results . Did they get lost . It is surprising. I think theres an element of bureaucracy, recognizing everybody is trying to do theiri best, but the pieces are not coming together. Gn i think they are now, that there is a lot of public attention placed on it. Reporter floridas governor knew there would be an increase testing for free for all pregnant women. The government asked for zika tests for more people to process the tests, and a short time ago the Florida Governors office told us they just received that support. Pelley David Begnaud with the breaking news. David, thank you. Well, the ceasefire in syria tonight appears to be holding. More than 300,000 people have died in five and a half years of civil war. But under this deal, worked out by the u. S. And russia, the rebel forces and is due to allow humanitarian aid into aleppo, once syrias largest city, now a city in ruins. Elizabeth palmer reports tonight from inside syria. Reporter only a trickle of aid from turkey made its way into Northern Syria today, where civilians who have been through hell are waiting, desperate for food and medicine. For months, theyve been sitting and russian planes; or living under fire from opposition rockets. But what a difference a day makes. The ceasefire held, even in rebelcontrolled eastern aleppo, and these kids made the most of it. In the lull, ambulance drivers had time for tea. There were even empty hospital beds. We had to change bloodstained this aleppo paramedic. Today weve only seen patients with flu. If the ceasefire continues to hold for the next seven days, the u. S. And russia will start coordinating airstrikes against jihadist groups, including isis. And crucially, the Syrian Air Force will be barred from flying in rebelheld areas. But one mans rebel is anothers freedom fighter, and russia and the u. S. Have not seen eye to are legitimate targets. There is plenty of scope yet for this deal to come unstuck. To underscore the problem, scott, the United Nations massive aid convoys are all packed up and ready to roll, but they cant move because the u. Nr is still negotiating their safe, passage with the Syrian Government and a dizzying number of armed opposition groups. Pelley Elizabeth Palmer inside syria for us tonight,. Liz, thank you.
