Valley high school was one of several schools that took part in todays effort to bring back students who may be at risk for not graduating. School staff say some children could be dealing with personal struggles that could keep them from getting to School Essentials like food and clothing. So as they went door to door talking with studentsthey offered up Community Organizations that can help. There was a big focus on reaching out to younger kids this year. Ramona Esparza principal, Valley High School we felt we would be proactive versus reactive and we taregerted certain students tahat have maybe shown some patterns in middle school or maybe concerns with attendance or grades that are showing not much success.
