threat, record rainfall sparking rescues in the midwest and abc's alex perez is just north of chicago where they are seeing serious flooding there. good morning, alex. >> reporter: hey, good morning, amy. officials have declared a state of emergency here. now, take a look. we want to show you what it looks like from above with help ur drone and as you can see streets here have become rivers and many people here are just waiting for this water to go down and it's not going down fast enough. this is what millions of midwesterners are waking up to this morning. in columbus, ohio, a general store nearly submerged in water, cars buried in the parking lot. this appliance store forced to go out of business when rain poured in destroying all the merchandise. drone footage capturing a lake in suburban chicago overflowing drowning neighborhoods and a shopping plaza. emergency responders evacuating residents. in wisconsin, a state of emergency declared. the extreme weather also hitting the east. record rain causing flooding in buffalo. >> i got water all the way up to past my chest on my shirt. >> reporter: it was a race against time for rescuers near buffalo pushing this car to dry land. >> the water came when i got out of the car, the water was up to here on me. i'm still soaking wet. >> reporter: and in this house by a creek rescuing an 83-year-old trapped inside her home surrounded by water. >> within a half hour the whole place was surrounded. >> reporter: and the not so good news here the river is already at major flood stage and it's expected to continue rising slowly through tomorrow. david. >> just stunning images from that drone camera. alex, thank you. now, we're watching severe storms moving into the east as well. rob. >> the front that sparked all these storms is finally going to be on the move and it will squeeze even more moisture out of these clouds so we have flood watches that are still posted for eastern parts of ohio, west virginia and new york and as this storm begins to push off to the east and all this humidity comes up from the south, a severe weather threat on top of the rain across the delmarva peninsula including philadelphia and potentially a tornado or two all throughout the afternoon. amy. >> rob, thanks so much. breaking news from overseas. a deadly terror attack near one of jerusalem's holy sites, dramatic footage there you're looking at showing the shoot-out with police and abc's james longman has all the details for us this morning. good morning, james. good morning, amy. yes, two israeli policemen were killed in east jerusalem this morning. they were attacked by three palestinians who then fled the scene. take a look at this dramatic cell phone footage, it shows one of the attackers fighting with israeli security before being shot. the attackers were shot dead by police inside the holy compound which is known to muslims as haram al sharif and to jews as temple mount killed at one of the holiest sites in the world. the attack happened just before friday prayers which have now been canceled. that hasn't happened, we believe, since 1990 which has made the whole situation more tense. incidents around there have stirred up rage in the past but authorities on both sides are doing their best to keep things calm. amy. >> all right, james, we appreciate it. thank you. david. we're going to turn now to major headlines out of washington this morning. president trump on his way back to the u.s. after celebrating bastille day in paris but also answering tough questions on the world stage from our correspondent and, as the russia investigation does ramp up, the top democrat on the senate intelligence committee has confirmed that donald trump jr. has been asked to provide documents and speak with the committee. and of course, the battle over health care hitting a breaking point, republicans revealing a new draft of the bill but already facing opposition from members of their own party. much more on that in a moment but first, let's get to our senior white house correspondent cecilia vega on the ground in paris where the president just participated in that parade. good morning, cecilia. >> reporter: david, good morning. i guess i should bonjour. president trump was here center stage on the champs-elysees and seemed to be enjoying this parade that happened here, a bunch of military planes and tanks but he is on his way home where that controversy over russia awaits. president trump having the time of his life at bastille day. ♪ pointing at the show with the first lady. laughing with the french president but not even a show of military might on the champs-elysees or dinner at the eiffel tower is enough to overshadow those mounting questions about his son's trump tower meeting with a russian lawyer. at that press conference, alongside the french president, we asked -- mr. president, your fbi nominee said if someone in a campaign got an e-mail about russia like the one that your son don junior received, that they should alert the fbi rather than accept that meeting, is he wrong? also, were you misled by your team in not knowing about this meeting? >> my son is a wonderful young man. he took a meeting with a russian lawyer, not a government lawyer, but a russian lawyer. it was a short meeting. it was a meeting that went very, very quickly, very fast. >> reporter: but in those e-mails don junior agreed to meet with the russian government attorney who wanted to provide the trump campaign with information that would damage hillary clinton. president trump coming to his son's defense. >> and nothing came of the meeting, and i think it's a meeting that most people in politics probably would have taken. >> reporter: the french press pouncing on president trump's past paris bashing. >> you were implying at the time that paris was not safe anymore. those are very strong words. would you repeat them today? >> you better let me answer that one first. that's a beauty. it's going to be just fine because you have a great president. you have somebody that is going to run this country right and i'm coming back. you better do a good job, please. otherwise you'll make me look very bad. >> you're always welcome. >> thank you. >> reporter: the president also delivering another round of compliments to the french first lady commenting on her figure during a tour of napoleon's tomb. >> you're in such good shape. beautiful. >> reporter: and that certainly made some headlines here in paris. now, this was a short trip for president trump. he was on the ground for just a little more than 24 hours. he did tweet before taking off this morning, david, saying that the relationship with france is stronger than ever. >> you know, cecilia, you mentioned the relationship with france. we saw president trump tell the first lady she was in good shape. made some headlines around the world. we all remember the first handshake with macron even before this trip. president macron saying this was a moment of truth. of course, he campaigned against trump-style rhetoric. any inside details? any imagery that shows how they all got along this time? >> well, they have that big dinner last night right there inside the eiffel tower. you could see both first couples sitting there together and it went on for about two hour, look, they really seemed to be getting along now. handshakes before they departed. very long ones again, and president macron wrapped up his bastille day celebration by saying the u.s. and france will never be separated. >> all right, well, you said bon sure. i'll say merci. >> reporter: au revoir. >> that's good. let's get to jon karl. let's ask about what cecilia asked during that press conference. she asked the president about don junior. we heard the president say he met with a russian lawyer, not a government lawyer, and most would have taken this meeting. is that going to be the white house defense, the trump campaign's defense as we move forward on this, and are we going to hear don junior testify? >> reporter: well, certainly is very consistently what donald trump is saying. he said this to reporters on air force one. he said it in the interview with reuters and at the press conference so clearly his belief is that anybody would have taken this. it directly corrects what his own choice for fbi director said, if you have -- if a politician, a senator, anybody in politics hears an offer like that, he would want that politician to call the fbi and let them know what was going on but, david, you know, as for the russian government attorney, the e-mails that don junior received to set this meeting up, right in black and white, it was a meeting with you and the russian government attorney who was flying over from moscow. these will be questions for don junior. he is being asked to testify. chuck grassley, the republican chairman of the judiciary committee, wants to see him soon, he wants to actually start hearing from people next week. >> next week. >> paul manafort by next week. >> all right, that's very soon. in the meantime, some breaking developments on the ban this morning, a judge and a ruling in hawaii. >> reporter: yes, this is the travel ban, a blow, another blow for the president on this. the supreme court upheld the travel ban but said that there could be exceptions for people who have a bona fide connection with somebody in the united states, this judge has expanded the definition of a bona fide connection to include nieces, uncles, cousins, pretty wide, grandparents, a pretty wide definition. >> jon karl, great to have you in person. >> great to be here. >> amy. >> as the president returns from his trip abroad he is tweeting about the new health care bill saying republican senators are working hard to get their failed obamacare replacement approved. i will be at my desk, pen in hand, but this morning, that bill is seeing new signs of trouble and our congressional correspondent mary bruce has all the latest from capitol hill. good morning, mary. >> reporter: amy, good morning. well, senate republicans have this new health care bill, but the same old problems. opposition from within their own party. this new bill was supposed to help bridge that deep divide in the gop, but right now this bill still doesn't have the support to pass. big question this morning looming over capitol hill, can republicans finally get the vote? >> this bill is better than the other bill. i don't know if it will get 50 votes. >> reporter: senate republicans thursday releasing their latest health care bill. >> so, senator, what do you think? >> i don't know. i'm going to read it. >> reporter: to win over moderates on the fence the bill keeps some obamacare taxes on the wealthy, puts aside $70 billion that could help americans cover high premiums and gives $45 billion to help fight the opioid epidemic, but still in the bill those deep cuts to medicaid, initially projected to be nearly $800 billion. it's a big problem for the hold-outs. >> we're still working on ways to ensure folks who are currently getting coverage under expanded medicaid have options. >> reporter: to sway conservatives, the new bill would allow insurers to offer cheaper bare-bones plans that don't cover essential health benefits like mental health treatments, maternity care, even ambulances. this morning republicans have no room for error. already two say these changes don't cut it. and with those two senators already a no, gop leaders now need every single other republican to get on board for this bill to pass. just one more no vote would sink this bill and, david, gop leaders are still hoping to move to a vote next week, but right now it's unclear if they will have the votes to even have that vote. >> all right, we'll see you on "world news tonight." mary, thanks. in the meantime, turning to breaking new details in the pennsylvania murder mystery involving four young men who vanished. the dogs who discovered them buried 12 feet down, and we have new reporting on the suspect, making a sudden confession. abc's eva pilgrim is outside the courthouse in doylestown. good morning, eva. >> reporter: good morning. this is where it happened. cosmo dinardo confessing to the d.a. to killing those four men in exchange avoiding the death penalty. dinardo giving every detail dropping a new bombshell, saying he didn't act alone. a stunning confession in the murders of four men missing since last week. >> i'm s >> reporter: 20-year-old cosmo dinardo admitting to the crime just hours after police announced that the body of 19-year-old dean finocchiaro and other remains were found on his family's farm in a makeshift grave. >> he confessed to the participation of the commission of four murders. >> reporter: authorities digging at the 90-acre dinardo family land for days searching for finocchiaro, 21-year-old thomas meo, 22-year-old mark sturgis and 19-year-old jimi patrick. a local catholic prep school confirming that dinardo and patrick both attended school together. >> in exchange for that confession, mr. dinardo was promised by the district attorney that he will spare his life by not invoking the death penalty. >> reporter: dinardo telling authorities where he buried the bodies. abc news learning three bodies were buried in one location, a fourth in a separate grave. the news comes as new images surface of cosmo dinardo pointing a pistol. sources telling abc news dinardo posted the photos in a group chat where he told friends he wasn't worried that dean finocchiaro, one of the four missing men, hadn't turned up. dinardo has been known to police since he was 14 years old. recent court documents show that dinardo had a history of mental illness and had been involuntary committed. prosecutors saying during his recent arraignment that he was diagnosed with schizophrenia. friends telling philly.com, dinardo routinely sold guns and had talked about weird things like killing people and having people killed. dinardo has not yet been charged with murder but we expect those charges will come soon. amy. >> indeed, all right, eva, thanks so much. turing overseas now to the americans vying for glory at wimbledon. venus williams now in the finals, eyeing her sixth wimbledon singles title, and 29-year-old sam querrey from california beating defending champ andy murray heading to the semifinals and abc's paula faris is here with all the action on the court. hey, paula. >> hey there, amy, it is an exciting time right now for american tennis. if you're trying to learn a little more about sam querrey, he knocked out the defending champs at wimbledon the last two years. this is his moment. as for venus, well, wimbledon is her wheelhouse, aiming for her sixth title at the all england club. for 37-year-old venus williams making it to the wimbledon finals doesn't get old. all tournament long it has been vintage venus, her serves unstoppable. cruising to her first wimbledon final since 2008. williams is the oldest wimbledon finalist since martina navratilova in 1994, and if she wins on saturday, she would become the oldest woman's grand slam winner in the open era, proving once again age ain't nothing but a number. the seven-time grand slam champion admitting she looks to her younger sister serena for inspiration. >> i have to ask serena for some pointers. serena is always in my corner and, you know, usually it's her in these finals so i'm trying my best to represent williams as best as i can. >> reporter: serena not competing due to her pregnancy is cheering her sister on from the sidelines. >> i feel like i'm there in a weird way. it's weird but i feel like i've been there for the whole journey and even though i'm not, i've been so supportive for venus. >> reporter: but on the men's side, wimbledon is still buzzing over that upset of last year's champ, andy murray, at the hands of american sam querrey. known almost as much for his 2015 appearance on "millionaire matchmaker." >> i never actually dated someone who played tennis. >> reporter: as his play on the court ranked 4th in the world, advancing further than any american man since 2009 appearing in his first grand slam semifinal ever this morning. venus has been talking about how much she misses her sister serena's presence at wimbledon who, of course, as you saw isn't traveling right now because of her pregnancy, serena has been watching all of venus' matches and says that it is more nerve-racking to watch her sister than to actually be out there on the court and playing, of course, venus plays tomorrow morning. >> i love what venus said, it's usually serena here. >> i know. go, the u.s. after participating in a bastille day celebration in france. he'll spend the weekend in new jersey but, of course, that battle over health care rages on. republican senators trying to rally support for the newest version of their bill to repeal and replace obamacare. of course, this morning the east is bracing for severe weather stretching across five states, from ohio to new york, after record rainfall sparking rescues and rob will track it all morning long. we begin with that "walking dead" accident halting production on the hit show. a stuntman severely injured after falling more than 20 feet onto the concrete below. abc's linsey davis is here with the latest details. >> reporter: "the walking dead" is a critically acclaimed horror television series but it's what happened in real life on the set this week that would best be described as horrific. this morning production on amc's action-packed zombie-killing series "the walking dead" is temporarily shut down after a horrifying accident on its georgia set. >> we had someone fall about 25 feet off of a balcony straight onto concrete. we need an ambulance asap. >> reporter: stuntman john bernecker falling more than two stories onto a concrete floor wednesday. in this 911 call obtained by tmz, an assistant director on set describes bernecker as barely conscious. >> do you know if he's bleeding from anywhere? >> yes, it's coming from his nose. >> is he able to talk? >> no. >> reporter: he suffered a head injury so severe, reportedly, he had to be transported by helicopter to a level one trauma center in atlanta. he later died in the hospital. it's not the first time they've had to shut down due to injury. in 2013 one walker ended up in the hospital after being run over by a truck. bernecker is a veteran stuntman and fight choreographer who has worked on a number of projects including "the hunger games" and marvel's upcoming movie "black panther." his girlfriend posted john deserves to be seen by every neurosurgeon and doctor there is until one sees the life we all know he has in him and bring him back to us. this isn't fair. >> amc is calling his accident tragic. a spokesperson for sag-aftra released a statement saying they are invegs gatiing the accident. an exclusive on o.j. simpson as the fallen athlete tries to secure his freedom now at a parole hearing next week. some of his accomplices in that las vegas robbery that ended up landing him in jail are speaking out about that night. abc's deborah roberts is here with the story this morning. good morning, deborah. >> reporter: most of the guys caught up in that robbery with simpson have paid dearly, they've lost family bonds, jobs and homes. they've rarely spoken at length about this ordeal until now. in fact, one is speaking to us for the very first time about that chaotic night that sent their golfing pal to prison. in less than a week, o.j. simpson will plead for his freedom. >> i've not had any incidents despite all the stories and tabloids. >> reporter: after a parole hearing four years ago where he won a partial victory. he's trying for a full release. simpson convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping after a botched attempt in 2007 to reclaim his personal memorabilia. >> i thought i was confronting friends and retrieving my property. i didn't mean to steal anything from anybody. and i didn't know i was doing anything illegal. so i'm sorry. i'm sorry for all of it. >> reporter: now, some of the men with him that night tell abc news they have regrets. >> he asked me, would you go with me to be my security? sure, i'll go with you. little did i know that it was going to turn into what it did. >> i say, so, o.j., what if they call the police? and he looked at me and he used a four-letter word that starts with "f" and ends with "k" the police. what they gonna do? take me to jail for taking my own stuff? >> mr. simpson asked me to show my gun and look menacing. >> so o.j. says pack up all the stuff and let's get out of here. >> reporter: audio from that va zbas hotel room indicates simpson never expected serious charges. >> it was a strong arm robbery. they came in with guns. >> it was all funny to him. he just, you know, kept saying no guns. just say there wasn't guns. >> reporter: count one conspiracy to commit a crime, guilty. count two, guilty. count three, guilty. >> reporter: simpson would be sentenced to up to 33 years in prison, some feeling the tough verdict was really a payback for this -- >> we the jury in the above entitled action find the defendant not guilty of the crime of murder. >> reporter: his 1995 acquittal in the brutal slayings of ex-wife nicole brown and her friend ron goldman. >> i'm not here to try and cause any retribution or any payback for anything else. >> reporter: simpson's longtime friend dr. henry johnson has visited him in prison. when did you see o.j. last? >> about two months ago. >> did you talk about the parole hearing. >> yes. >> is he counting on this? is he hopeful? >> yes, he is. very hopeful. >> do you think he's prepared possibly not to be paroled? >> yeah, i think he is. he has to be. he's a realist. >> reporter: and this morning we're getting details about that parole hearing. officials tell us o.j. will appear in front of the board via video conference and a decision could likely come that very same day. now, people closely watching this case say it's possible that he will, indeed, be paroled. some don't know he was actually already paroled on some of those charges a few years ago and the word we get, david and amy, is that he's been a model prisoner at lovelock. >> but as you heard he's prepared not to be paroled just in case. in the meantime, you talked to these men part of this robbery. they've got some pretty strong feelings, anger in it. >> they do have anger, but interestingly some say they don't want to see o.j. again but feel he has served the time for this particular crime and most of them seem to feel it is probably likely he'll be released but what they think about him getting out of prison we can tell you a little more tonight on "20/20." >> this is also, were you misled by your team in not knowing about this meeting? >> my son is a wonderful young man. he took a meeting with a russian lawyer, not a government lawyer, but a russian lawyer. it was a short meeting. it was a meeting that -- went very, very quickly, very fast. >> reporter: the president said it wasn't a government lawyer but in those e-mails, don junior did agree to meet with a, quote, russian government attorney promising to provide damaging information about hillary clinton and the calls are now growing louder on capitol hill for don junior to testify. david, both democrats and republicans say they want to talk to him. >> all right, safe trip home, cecilia, thanks. the other big story in our morning rundown, is the historic flooding in parts of wisconsin and illinois. severe storms hitting the east. look at these picture, water rushing through stores, roads turning to rivers, and abc's alex perez is assessing the damage for us. alex. >> reporter: hey, good morning, david. it's been a rough couple of days for people in this area here. now, i want to show you what this looks like from above with help from our drone. as you can see and as you mentioned some of the streets here look more like rivers, parts of northern illinois and southern wisconsin have been hit very hard the last couple of days. and officials here have been doing whatever they can to try to get this water down but they say it's going to take some time for that to happen and the bad news here in this area, the not so good news, the river is expected to continue slowly rising for at least another day. david. >> that's always the case, thanks, alex. continues to rise long after the rain. you have the other news. >> we do. we'll continue to follow breaking news out of jerusalem. two israeli police officers have been killed in a brazen attack near the holy site known to the jews as temple mount. police say the three palestinian gunmen died in a shootout. a top muslim cleric in jerusalem has been reportedly detained. the palestinian president called israel's prime minister to condemn that attack. and a disturbing statement today from london's police commissioner. she says they have prevented five terrorist attacks in that city in just the last few weeks. meanwhile, police say robbery appears to the motive for a series of disturbing acid attacks on london streets. five people were injured. and a new court ruling affecting president trump's travel ban, a federal judge has expanded the administration's definition of a close family relationship. now, in addition to immediate family the ban cannot be enforced against grandparents, aunts, uncles and other relatives of people in the u.s. coming from six muslim countries. well, house speaker paul ryan is updating the dress code for the house chamber after complaints from reporters. current rules do not allow women to go sleeveless and men are required to wear jackets and ties. ryan says those rules should be modernized. meanwhile, in the sports world another kind of dress code violation. three players at wimbledon had been forced to change their underwear. because it violated the all white dress code. yes. >> you can see it through the clothes? >> of course, and as a parent it definitely got my attention. at a nutritionist i have to say it's very difficult to attribute one food exposure to a particular health outcome in general. and, look, as a doctor for anything to be potentially toxic, you really need three things, you need a high potency or a high dose or you need a high frequency of exposure so when you look at all of those things, you know, that's what people have to look at from a rational scientific perspective. >> and what's in question is something called a phthalate. >> right. >> talk about how that impacts or could possibly impact a negative health problem. >> we've been hearing about it for some time. something we refer to as a potential endocrine disrupter. we particularly worry about in utero exposure because it has the possibility of affecting sex development, there's a lot we don't know about it. we definitely need more research but to be clear, this is not just about phthalates, the environmental protection agency has identified over 10,000 such chemicals. they've only screened a fraction of that. so it really speaks to the scope of this problem. >> how are these compounds found in mac and cheese? >> well, listen, it's widespread, okay, and really not just in mac and cheese but in all foods including seafood, grain, spices, poultry, dairy, treatment. i mean the list goes on and on, and the news in something like mac and cheese this compound is detected in extremely low levels. we reached out to kraft yesterday, they are the maker of obviously one of the largest brands of mac and cheese but, again, this is widespread to every brand. they were very clear that the amount of phthalates in their products, which they don't add is well below 1,000 times what is recommended or can be safely there so they stand behind the safety of their product. personally, i would be more worried about getting in a car accident at this point. >> all right, that's a definitely good perspective. >> have your mac and cheese. >> thank you very much. david. >> we're going to turn to that "gma" consumer alert. are internet megacompanies stalking you? many collect data on your shopping habits, on your hobbies and they target ads directly to your tastes so our technology contributor becky worley has ways to protect your privacy. >> reporter: consumers are worried about internet privacy. how big tech companies use what we search, read and watch online to create a profile on us. >> they're trying to infer not only just what your hobbies are but things like your age, race, gender, maybe political views. so they can better target ads at you. >> reporter: but is there any way to see specifically what the internet knows about you? actually, yes. let's start with the biggest ad company on earth, google. you thought they were a search engine, right. go to myaccount.google.com and you can drill in to see how they profiled you. i watch football. use an apple device and i do live near san francisco. why did they track this stuff? >> we had a very strong cause so we started an orphanage in haiti to bring lost and abandoned children to a home to give them a home, a future and hope for the future, and it really is important, these kids, it's a christian-based home so it's a really important -- >> i love it. one of a couple of charities. >> right, and the other one is the moss pieratt foundation named after my grandson. he passed away three years ago. his death is sudden, unexplained death in childhood. this ride raised research dollars to do research to hopefully prevent it someday. >> what is the favorite part of your trip? >> i think the favorite part was just the togetherness of it. this is the kind of thing you do really once in a lifetime and it was great to be together. our mother was with us. our niece was with us and then, of course, getting here and having our families be here with us when we got here was just fantastic. >> family affair. >> you guys dipped your bikes into the atlantic ocean. >> we were on the pier so it was a little difficult so had to take the front wheels off, put a rope on it to say we dipped the bikes. >> a little saltwater. thanks for wrapping up your trip with us. congratulations. the jenkins brothers. hello. i'm meteorologist mike nicco. we've made it to friday, and it's going to become sunny and a little bit warmer today. clouds minimal tonight, still very comfortable, and our extended forecast just going to be hot this weekend, that's it. 62 at half moon bay, 69 in san francisco, mid-70s to 80s around the bay, and you can see mid-80s to mid-90 inland. good news tonight, low 50s to mid-60s. my accuweather seven-day forecast, it's going to be hot tomorrow and sunday. now time for a summer health alert. especially as you head to the pool. it's serious stuff about drowning. stars like blake lively are raising awareness encouraging all parents to get cpr training. it is a simple technique that can save a life. one mom is on a mission to make that training fun and educational. adrienne bankert went to one of her cpr parties. she's going to tell us more. good morning, adrienne. >> good morning to you too, rob. a story that all of us need to hear. not only our great studio audience or park audience but everybody at home. drownings are the leading cause of death for children under 4. second only to birth defects. now this one mom is determined to save as many parents as possible from losing a child or loved one and she's making cpr a celebration. it's a party with a purpose. complete with conversation, finger food and, well, dummies. >> 18, 19, 20, 21. >> reporter: these so-called cpr parties teach women how to perform the life-saving technique on a child. [ applause ] a concept championed by mom on a mission, laura metro. what made you think about having a cpr party like a tupperware party? or a jewelry party? >> people don't want to think about being in these situations and don't want to think about their loved ones dying so it helps to couch it a little bit. >> reporter: her motivation is personal after a near-death experience with her son clay. in 2011 the then 3-year-old almost drowned. 15i6d by a family friend, who only vaguely knew cpr from what he'd seen on tv. >> every night you go into your son's bedroom. >> i listen for his breath. because he wasn't breathing. clay was 3. we were at the pool. >> reporter: the 42-year-old has hosted 150 cpr parties reaching more than a thousand people. >> every single move that you make is critical. >> reporter: metro partners with rescue one training for life for the expertise. >> are you okay? are you okay? he's not breathing. >> reporter: according to the cdc, three children die every day as a result of drowning. but the american heart association says you can double or triple their chance of survival by performing cpr right away. >> ready, begin? >> reporter: instructors say do 30 compressions at a time pushing down hard at a rate of 100 compressions a minute. experts even recommend singing this familiar song. ♪ stayin' alive stayin' alive >> reporter: "stayin' alive" by the bee gees to help stick to that tempo. >> it's like riding a bike. >> reporter: just like getting on a bike or remembering that catchy song these ladies feel more confident and prepared in case of an emergency. anything that stood out to you where you were like, okay, i'm going to keep that one, go? >> "stayin' alive." ♪ i'm stayin' alive >> reporter: we all love that song, right? now you'll never forget. every party has to have great music. laura metro says they're always looking for fun down to earth instructors to make those cpr parties more entertaining. ours was in bethesda, maryland. but they branched out to anywhere in the united states. it really does make a difference. >> i love it, life-saving tips and having fun. i'm here with lipica shah from the american red cross. >> thank you for having me. >> we'll do -- thank you. we'll do a little demonstration on what the right way to do it. let's get going. >> i do want to emphasize the best way to learn cpr and full cpr is to actually take a class but i'm so, so glad to be here doing this demo today. after you check the scene, make sure it's safe, check the infant. baby, are you okay? are you okay? >> nonresponsive. >> look for breathing. any signs of breathing. >> do i listen? >> you can listen, you can look. it's best to have a visual. so, if there is none of that, we need assistance. so have someone call 911 right away because there is an unconscious infant and you're going to start compressions and place one hand on the forehead. two or three fingers along the best breastbone. mri top fingers are in line with the armpits. that's the landmark we want. >> should be able to feel. >> should be able to feel it. very tiny. your hand goes straight up and down so that everything goes down in one direction. we're going to push 30 times. >> stayin' alive. ♪ stayin' alive ♪ stayin' alive >> now, what's the main difference between doing a baby and cpr on an adult?
