this sunday june 7th. let's start with a quick look at the weather with our meteorologist lisa argen. >> hi there carolyn. good morning. our maron layer is compressed. we still have the delays at sfo of about 35 minutes and the low clouds and fog will be fishing back to the shoreline today. there's sfo. it's 60 degrees right there. sunny in san jose. 65. half moon bay a mile and a quarter visibility at 56 degrees. we are warmer than we were at this time yesterday. anywhere from a degree to five degrees warmer in san carlos. the view atop vollmer peak looking out. you can't see mt. diablo right now but it will disappear in an hour or two. low 70s in the city, mid-70s oakland, 80s in san jose and more heat for tomorrow. carolyn. >> lisa, thank you. game two of the nba finals tips off in just a few hours. the warriors taking on the cleveland cavaliers at oracle arena. golden state took the first game in a thrilling overtime win 108-100. abc7 news reporter katie joins us live from the arena with the excitement that is building. katie >> carolyn, it is building out here. there's already folks showing up to set up the strength in numbers t-shirts we've within sewing. i know you watched the game thursday. i was at a viewing party in livermore, and wherever folks were watching they were certainly on the edge of their seats during the overtime match-up thursday. i want to show you a clip from that game. the shot when we all knew it would be okay. >> at the boards. barns for three bang! >> harrison barns nailing the three. when a shot. the warriors as we know won in overtime and hopefully today will come out with another "w" but preferably with a more comfortable lead. the game tips off earlier tonight at 5:00 right here on abc7. the parking lot at oracle opens at 1:00. if you can avoid the gridlock and take bart. there's been track maintenance on sundays, but they say bart will be running for the warriors game. while we are all still stoked about the game one win, coach steve kerr is not taking anything for granted. >> we made a ton of mistakes in game one. this is a team that got to the finals beating the number one seed in the east without kyrie for a couple of games. the challenge is still enormous. there's so much for us to cover and deal with. >> today the warriors are giving away spirit tags for those who come. and of course we want to see your photos. you can #dubson7 and your fan pics may end up in our post or pro game shows and even the newscast. these are the spirit sleeves that the warriors will be passing out today. i guess they go on your arms or if you have thin cavs they could be leg warmers, who knows carolyn. but there's a whole pile here. we will come back at 9:30 to show you some of the greatarrors gear. live at oracle were ejected from a car, and now another passenger has also died. a fourth person is hospitalized with major injuries. this morning investigators are looking at the details of a small plane crash with four people on board in morgan hill. it's a story you will see only on abc7 news. the plane went down last night just after 11:00, barely missing powerlines. it ended up blocking a southbound lane at cochrin road. the co-pilot said he and three others were flying back from a dinner at harris ranch. >> it also started to sputter out a little bit. killed the engine. went to turn it back over. it coughed for about ten seconds and then completely died. so we went to emergency procedures. decided highway 101 is right here is best bet. so we decided to make the best out of the worst-possible situation. >> everyone on board walked away safely. the co-pilot said despite the circumstances, it was one of the smoothest landings he's ever been part of. a watsonville police officer is recovering this morning after being shot in the stomach by a man who, in turn, was killed by police. authorities say the man began running when he was approached by officers near his home. he ran on to a levy of a river firing at officers. >> we saw a police car came in speeding all the way up to the top of the river. then i saw a policeman coming. he was wounded or something. he was doing this. he went inside the police car and took off. speeding i guess to the hospital. then all the cops, all different police agencies started coming from the highway, from everywhere. >> the man's name has not been released. authorities say he was well-known to police. this is the first time a watsonville police officer has been wounded in the line of duty since 1998. >> this morning oakland police investigators will be looking at video from officers' body cameras in connection with a shooting of a man inside a car. it happened yesterday when police were called about a man sitting in a stalled car of the ramp of 580. place say he was unresponsive and a loaded gun was seen in the passenger seat. >> bean bags shot against the car didn't weak him either so they used a metal pipe to break through the passenger's side window. >> the person at this point was awake. a confrontation ensued with the officers and the person. one officer deployed a taser one officer deployed a firearm. police shared photos like this one of the gun that was in the front seat. investigators are reviewing video from more than a dozen officers' body cams and the gas station cameras near the shoot ing. >> the escape from alcatraz triathlon begins in about two hours. abc7 news reporter has the story. but for two a theft nearly derailed the race until fellow athletes stepped in to help. abc7 news reporter has the story. >> for chad and candace, racing and the escape from alcatraz is on their bucket list. something very wrong happened to that plan. >> we come out about 6:00 and the bicycles were not here. >> the bikes had been triple locked to his motorcycle which was parked just outside the valet hay and security booth at the hotel. someone cut through all the locks and made off with the bikes, each worth about $10,000. >> he was kind of defeated by it it a little bit, i think. i told him that, no, we can't not do the race because we don't have bikes. we will figure something out. >> when we first talk with chad, he was refitting riding shoes. that's because when he checked in for the race, the announcer told the crowd what happened so several other racers offered to help. peggy had been in the triathlon ten times and owned a spare bike. they said this guy is raising money for cancer and going his bikes got stolen. and i lost my sister-in-law to cancer this year. >> as part of chad's trip here he raised thousands of dollars to help battle prostate cancer. he's determined not to let the bike theft derail his plan. >> we are this far into it so we aren't giving up. we are still going to race and not let it hold us back. >> thanks to the generosity of other racers, they can mark this race off their bucket list. in san francisco sergio quintana abc7 news. >> pretty warm in a four day build in martinez. an anonymous donor has given $150,000 to bring habitat together with people of different religions to build affordable homes for working class families. for one volunteer it's the chance of a lifetime. >> this is going to be our own house. so exciting. like a dream come to you for us. my kids are really happy. >> habitat for humanity said they accomplish in one day what would take a construction crew a month. the total cost of this development, $7 million. >> we all know the warriors and the cavaliers are battle for the nba title. game two tip off in just a few hours. off the court another competition is taking place this morning. a group of bay area volunteers is challenging a charity from cleveland. abc7 news was in san francisco south of the market neighborhood, as members of #lunchbag delivered 3,000 of food. >> this is a creative way to get exposure. we thank cleveland for chorney challenging us and bringing it to a high level so everyone who didn't know about the organization previously #lunchbag is throughout the country and it started spreading. >> a similar event will take place in cleveland. >> as you know, the last time the warriors were in the nba finals was back in 1975. a long time ago. so we thought it would be fun to look back and see what was going on 40 years ago. abc7 news anchor ama daetz has the details. ♪ the highest grossing film of the year was about a shark. palace. you could get a ticket for nine dollars. the warriors biggest star was rick barry. the coach, al addels the finals marked the first time two african-american coaches met head-to-head in an nba championship. it was a great year for other oakland sports, as well. the a's finished first in the american league west. pitcher vida blue won 22 games. the raiders were the best in the afc west. but there were no selfies from fans back then. the computer age was just beginning. microsoft was founded and the prototype for apple's first personal computer was created in 1975. that same year california came notorious for two attempts to assassinate president gerald ford. two women both tried and failed. they weren't the only women making headlines as criminals. newspaper heiress patty hearst was arrested. it was more than a year after she was kidnapped and later accused of robbing a bank. watching over all the history, governor jerry brown who began serving his first term that year. the warriors took home the title that year by sweeping the washington bullets, now known as the wizards. we are pulling for them to do the same this year with the cleveland cavs. >> ama daetz, >> can't wait. >> yes. >> all right. good morning. we are looking at changes in the weather which you may not have been expecting with a sunnier morning. it's already in the mid-60s in our east bay values. the quick clearing will allow nor a warmup today. it's been a cool may with temperatures well below average. and we are looking at numbers today. in fact above average. buts nothing compared to where we will be tomorrow. i want to show you the hurricane to give you some perspective of what is is to happen come tuesday, wednesday in the bay area. this is wobbling. you see the eye, it is quickly weakening. it was a category 4 and now it is a category 1 with winds of 90 miles an hour and it could bring as much as 6 to 10 inches of rain around baja right here. but look what happens by tuesday. it's already bringing up moisture into arizona san diego and we could even see some here. i'll show you a forecast model that predicts maybe some spotty showers and certainly some thunderstorms once again in the sierra nevada. 4 san carlos. 60 oakland get income on the sunshine there. san francisco 57. morgan hill 62. this is a view from sutro where you see the low clouds still intact here. along the coast a mile-and-a-half visibility is about it. we are looking at these clouds quickly clearing. santa rosa lagging behind at 59. today you will be up into the 80s. so a dramatic change from yesterday where it was pretty cool around the bay. here's mt. tam. the forecast highlights. everyone is getting into a sunny morning. and that will be the trend. we will look for a much warmer day today and a heat advisory from 1:00 tomorrow afternoon until 8:00 at night. here it is. you will notice the highlighted areas where we will see the risk of heat-related incidents perhaps because we are looking at high necessary the upper 90s. a one-day heat event. say day and a half or so because it will last into tuesday. today will be quite warm had the inland east bay. notice not along the coast. that's because we will have the fog and if we do have sun at all, it be cool in the upper 60s. it should be beautiful along the shoreline. look at this huge dome of high pressure building in to the west coast. and it's just going to be temporary, which is the good news. let's get you set on the forecast model that brings up this moisture tomorrow into the desert southwest. muggy air in huggen california and then up the central coast. you see the sierra the sierra nevada hours -- showers. and but in terms of temperatures today, look at the warmup. 85 santa clara. mid-80s san jose. as well as morgan hill. 81 redwood city. notice we've got temperatures in the upper 60s for a little sun perhaps along the coast. low 70s in san francisco with 8 it in novato. stinson beach 69 degrees. you head to our bay shore here, finally some warmth for you and berkeley 72. 83 union city. you head inland, the darker reds where we have the lower 90s pleasanton about 90. look at the big heat up tomorrow with the heat advisory. and the temperatures slowly coming down on tuesday. more-likely wednesday and thursday. that's where we get the subtropical moisture that could degrees in fair feel. 66 in livermore. 65 concord and napa is at 59 degrees. the clouds pull back to the coast. take a look at the temperature profile where the 90s come into play in the east bay valleys. 80 santa rosa. not far north you will see 90s. more 80s in san jose. 60s at the coast. a little bit of sunshine here and a hot day on tap for tomorrow, as well. we will detail that heat clock again. counting down to abc's coverage of the nba game. talk to you later katie. happening today, more than 10,000 people are expected to march in a parade in san francisco. it's not a celebration it's a remembrance. back in 1984 more than 150,000 indian army troops attacked their most sacred shrine, the golden temple. the parade steps off from second and market streets at noon and will wind it's way to the civic center. some students in san jose got to visit n.a.s.a. ames research center because of what they will send to the international space station later this year. as jonathan bloom explains, the objects won't arrive on a rocket, they will get to space using the internet. >> late last year an experimental 3d printer blasted off into space. >> supersonic speed. >> it was built by the nassau start-up, built in space, and the experiment was a success. >> rachets very tight tightly. >> this is among the first objects ever printed away from the gravity here. >> it goes here and the pins go there. >> the working pair of plyers was designed by high school students. >> it was difficult to design plyers that would work mostly because of the build constraints. >> nothing can break off or float around. >> we have the zero gravity design. it's never existed in the history of humanity. these students are some of the first gravity zero designers. >> it's a rare opportunity. >> it's amazing, insane, out of this world literally. >> the kids from valley christian junior high designed this. it is a bust of the astronauts in space over a year. they will send a file up to the space station where it will be printed and put on display. >> to honor them in their accomplishment of being the first astronauts to be in space for over a year. the students' objects won't be made on this first made-in-space printer, it was sent up as an experiment. instead, they will be made on the new printer heading to space later this week and the students got a sneak-peek at it. it will build in multiple materials and faster. >> it could become violates. -- or vital to a space mission. >> you are four months in on a marches decision and you need a tool, you can't wait for these photos of the new sculpture learning plaza yesterday, it's all part of the zoo's youth and exploration zone. it features more than 60 realistic sculptures of rare and endangered species. visitors can learn more about the creatures, how they evolve and adapt over time and how scientists divide animals into different species. lisa, it's usually a bit chilly at the san francisco zoo. maybe not so much today? >> exactly. you still may need a jacket though. we will see the cloud pull away from the coast in the north bay around stinson and point reyes. but you hook at this picture next couple of days. looks like a little event going on here down at the boardwalk. and the cool numbers and clouds not keeping the folks away there. 56 half moon bay with a mile and a quarter visibility. san jose, it's been sunny for a while at 65 degrees. it's 60 in oakland. san francisco partly sunny at 57. and san jose today with all the sun, you will be much warmer than you were yesterday and even warmer still by another five to seven degrees for tomorrow. we have a heat advisory in effect for monday. 63 santa rosa, 68 by the delta. it's been sunny all morning long here. and we are looking at sunshine now up in napa, 59 degrees. anywhere from a degree to six degrees warmer than you were 24 hours at this time yesterday. and we have warmer air at the surface, finally mixes down from the upper levels, i should say. that's what is going to allow for the warmup today. it will be foggy at part of our beaches. so san mateo coast you aren't going to see a lot of sun there. but it will be mild. you will get a few peaks of sun. mid-60s. and the heat advisory includes the inland east bay. the bay shore, parts of the peninsula in the higher elevations of the north bay where we could see the risk of heat row related incidences from tomorrow afternoon through the evening. a requestic transition from the cool down to the warmup and the national weather service issued the heat advisory for one day. the big dome is pushing in over the state of california. and that will allow for the warmth today. but take a look what happens as we go through your tuesday. the subtropical moisture from an old hurricane is already being pulled up into southern california for muggy weather today. then by tuesday in the afternoon we could see some hours here from the peninsula the south bay. certainly in the sierra nevada. cloudy skies around much. the bay and the strong storms are likely once again from the northern to the southern sierra on tuesday maybe into wednesday. this sunday june 7th. let's start with a quick look at the weather with our meteorologist lisa argen. >> hi there carolyn. good morning. our maron layer is compressed. we still have the delays at sfo of about 35 minutes and the low clouds and fog will be fishing back to the shoreline today. there's sfo. it's 60 degrees right there. sunny in san jose. 65. half moon bay a mile and a quarter visibility at 56 degrees. we are warmer than we were at this time yesterday. anywhere from a degree to five degrees warmer in san carlos. the view atop vollmer peak looking out. you can't see mt. diablo right now but it will disappear in an hour or two. low 70s in the city, mid-70s oakland, 80s in san jose and more heat for tomorrow. carolyn. >> lisa, thank you. game two of the nba finals tips off in just a few hours. the warriors taking on the cleveland cavaliers at oracle arena. golden state took the first game in a thrilling overtime win 108-100. abc7 news reporter katie joins us live from the arena with the excitement that is building. katie >> carolyn, it is building out here. there's already folks showing up to set up the strength in numbers t-shirts we've within sewing. i know you watched the game thursday. i was at a viewing party in livermore, and wherever folks were watching they were certainly on the edge of their seats during the overtime match-up thursday. i want to show you a clip from that game. the shot when we all knew it would be okay. >> at the boards. barns for three bang! >> harrison barns nailing the three. when a shot. the warriors as we know won in overtime and hopefully today will come out with another "w" but preferably with a more comfortable lead. the game tips off earlier tonight at 5:00 right here on abc7. the parking lot at oracle opens at 1:00. if you can avoid the gridlock and take bart. there's been track maintenance on sundays, but they say bart will be running for the warriors game. while we are all still stoked about the game one win, coach steve kerr is not taking anything for granted. >> we made a ton of mistakes in game one. this is a team that got to the finals beating the number one seed in the east without kyrie for a couple of games. the challenge is still enormous. there's so much for us to cover and deal with. >> today the warriors are giving away spirit tags for those who come. and of course we want to see your photos. you can #dubson7 and your fan pics may end up in our post or pro game shows and even the newscast. these are the spirit sleeves that the warriors will be passing out today. i guess they go on your arms or if you have thin cavs they could be leg warmers, who knows carolyn. but there's a whole pile here. we will come back at 9:30 to show you some of the greatarrors gear. live at oracle were ejected from a car, and now another passenger has also died. a fourth person is hospitalized with major injuries. this morning investigators are looking at the details of a small plane crash with four people on board in morgan hill. it's a story you will see only on abc7 news. the plane went down last night just after 11:00, barely missing powerlines. it ended up blocking a southbound lane at cochrin road. the co-pilot said he and three others were flying back from a dinner at harris ranch. >> it also started to sputter out a little bit. killed the engine. went to turn it back over. it coughed for about ten seconds and then completely died. so we went to emergency procedures. decided highway 101 is right here is best bet. so we decided to make the best out of the worst-possible situation. >> everyone on board walked away safely. the co-pilot said despite the circumstances, it was one of the smoothest landings he's ever been part of. a watsonville police officer is recovering this morning after being shot in the stomach by a man who, in turn, was killed by police. authorities say the man began running when he was approached by officers near his home. he ran on to a levy of a river firing at officers. >> we saw a police car came in speeding all the way up to the top of the river. then i saw a policeman coming. he was wounded or something. he was doing this. he went inside the police car and took off. speeding i guess to the hospital. then all the cops, all different police agencies started coming from the highway, from everywhere. >> the man's name has not been released. authorities say he was well-known to police. this is the first time a watsonville police officer has been wounded in the line of duty since 1998. >> this morning oakland police investigators will be looking at video from officers' body cameras in connection with a shooting of a man inside a car. it happened yesterday when police were called about a man sitting in a stalled car of the ramp of 580. place say he was unresponsive and a loaded gun was seen in the passenger seat. >> bean bags shot against the car didn't weak him either so they used a metal pipe to break through the passenger's side window. >> the person at this point was awake. a confrontation ensued with the officers and the person. one officer deployed a taser one officer deployed a firearm. police shared photos like this one of the gun that was in the front seat. investigators are reviewing video from more than a dozen officers' body cams and the gas station cameras near the shoot ing. >> the escape from alcatraz triathlon begins in about two hours. abc7 news reporter has the story. but for two a theft nearly derailed the race until fellow athletes stepped in to help. abc7 news reporter has the story. >> for chad and candace, racing and the escape from alcatraz is on their bucket list. something very wrong happened to that plan. >> we come out about 6:00 and the bicycles were not here. >> the bikes had been triple locked to his motorcycle which was parked just outside the valet hay and security booth at the hotel. someone cut through all the locks and made off with the bikes, each worth about $10,000. >> he was kind of defeated by it it a little bit, i think. i told him that, no, we can't not do the race because we don't have bikes. we will figure something out. >> when we first talk with chad, he was refitting riding shoes. that's because when he checked in for the race, the announcer told the crowd what happened so several other racers offered to help. peggy had been in the triathlon ten times and owned a spare bike. they said this guy is raising money for cancer and going his bikes got stolen. and i lost my sister-in-law to cancer this year. >> as part of chad's trip here he raised thousands of dollars to help battle prostate cancer. he's determined not to let the bike theft derail his plan. >> we are this far into it so we aren't giving up. we are still going to race and not let it hold us back. >> thanks to the generosity of other racers, they can mark this race off their bucket list. in san francisco sergio quintana abc7 news. >> pretty warm in a four day build in martinez. an anonymous donor has given $150,000 to bring habitat together with people of different religions to build affordable homes for working class families. for one volunteer it's the chance of a lifetime. >> this is going to be our own house. so exciting. like a dream come to you for us. my kids are really happy. >> habitat for humanity said they accomplish in one day what would take a construction crew a month. the total cost of this development, $7 million. >> we all know the warriors and the cavaliers are battle for the nba title. game two tip off in just a few hours. off the court another competition is taking place this morning. a group of bay area volunteers is challenging a charity from cleveland. abc7 news was in san francisco south of the market neighborhood, as members of #lunchbag delivered 3,000 of food. >> this is a creative way to get exposure. we thank cleveland for chorney challenging us and bringing it to a high level so everyone who didn't know about the organization previously #lunchbag is throughout the country and it started spreading. >> a similar event will take place in cleveland. >> as you know, the last time the warriors were in the nba finals was back in 1975. a long time ago. so we thought it would be fun to look back and see what was going on 40 years ago. abc7 news anchor ama daetz has the details. ♪ the highest grossing film of the year was about a shark. "jaws." when the warriors got into the nba championship, it was a big deal, but not big enough to kick out the ice follies already scheduled there, so the warriors had to move across the bay to the palace. you could get a ticket for nine dollars. the warriors biggest star was rick barry. the coach, al addels the finals marked the first time two african-american coaches met head-to-head in an nba championship. it was a great year for other oakland sports, as well. the a's finished first in the american league west. pitcher vida blue won 22 games. the raiders were the best in the afc west. but there were no selfies from fans back then. the computer age was just beginning. microsoft was founded and the prototype for apple's first personal computer was created in 1975. that same year california came notorious for two attempts to assassinate president gerald ford. two women both tried and failed. they weren't the only women making headlines as criminals. newspaper heiress patty hearst was arrested. it was more than a year after she was kidnapped and later accused of robbing a bank. watching over all the history, governor jerry brown who began serving his first term that year. the warriors took home the title that year by sweeping the washington bullets, now known as the wizards. we are pulling for them to do the same this year with the cleveland cavs. >> ama daetz, followed by "scandal" at 10:00 and abc7 news at 11:00. lisa, let's take another look at the count down clock. oh, it just disappeared there. we will have to let people know. it's about 7 hours away. >> can't wait. >> yes. >> all right. good morning. we are looking at changes in the weather which you may not have been expecting with a sunnier morning. it's already in the mid-60s in our east bay values. the quick clearing will allow nor a warmup today. it's been a cool may with temperatures well below average. and we are looking at numbers today. in fact above average. buts nothing compared to where we will be tomorrow. i want to show you the hurricane to give you some perspective of what is is to happen come tuesday, wednesday in the bay area. this is wobbling. you see the eye, it is quickly weakening. it was a category 4 and now it is a category 1 with winds of 90 miles an hour and it could bring as much as 6 to 10 inches of rain around baja right here. but look what happens by tuesday. it's already bringing up moisture into arizona san diego and we could even see some here. i'll show you a forecast model that predicts maybe some spotty showers and certainly some thunderstorms once again in the sierra nevada. 4 san carlos. 60 oakland get income on the sunshine there. san francisco 57. morgan hill 62. this is a view from sutro where you see the low clouds still intact here. along the coast a mile-and-a-half visibility is about it. we are looking at these clouds quickly clearing. santa rosa lagging behind at 59. today you will be up into the 80s. so a dramatic change from yesterday where it was pretty cool around the bay. here's mt. tam. the forecast highlights. everyone is getting into a sunny morning. and that will be the trend. we will look for a much warmer day today and a heat advisory from 1:00 tomorrow afternoon until 8:00 at night. here it is. you will notice the highlighted areas where we will see the risk of heat-related incidents perhaps because we are looking at high necessary the upper 90s. a one-day heat event. say day and a half or so because it will last into tuesday. today will be quite warm had the inland east bay. notice not along the coast. that's because we will have the fog and if we do have sun at all, it be cool in the upper 60s. it should be beautiful along the shoreline. look at this huge dome of high pressure building in to the west coast. and it's just going to be temporary, which is the good news. let's get you set on the forecast model that brings up this moisture tomorrow into the desert southwest. muggy air in huggen california and then up the central coast. you see the sierra the sierra nevada hours -- showers. and but in terms of temperatures today, look at the warmup. 85 santa clara. mid-80s san jose. as well as morgan hill. 81 redwood city. notice we've got temperatures in the upper 60s for a little sun perhaps along the coast. low 70s in san francisco with 8 it in novato. stinson beach 69 degrees. you head to our bay shore here, finally some warmth for you and berkeley 72. 83 union city. you head inland, the darker reds where we have the lower 90s pleasanton about 90. look at the big heat up tomorrow with the heat advisory. and the temperatures slowly coming down on tuesday. more-likely wednesday and thursday. that's where we get the subtropical moisture that could clock again. counting down to abc's coverage of the nba game. talk to you later katie. happening today, more than 10,000 people are expected to march in a parade in san francisco. it's not a celebration it's a remembrance. back in 1984 more than 150,000 indian army troops attacked their most sacred shrine, the golden temple. the parade steps off from second and market streets at noon and will wind it's way to the civic center. some students in san jose got to visit n.a.s.a. ames research center because of what they will send to the international space station later this year. as jonathan bloom explains, the objects won't arrive on a rocket, they will get to space using the internet. >> late last year an experimental 3d printer blasted off into space. >> supersonic speed. >> these photos of the new sculpture learning plaza yesterday, it's all part of the zoo's youth and exploration zone. it features more than 60 realistic sculptures of rare and endangered species. visitors can learn more about the creatures, how they evolve and adapt over time and how scientists divide animals into different species. lisa, it's usually a bit chilly at the san francisco zoo. for long. in fact if you look at live doppler 7hd we will get some clearing here along the marvin county coast. we will be looking at some subtropical moisture too, that will come into play in the next couple of days. looks like a little event going on here down at the boardwalk. and the cool numbers and clouds not keeping the folks away there. 56 half moon bay with a mile and a quarter visibility. san jose, it's been sunny for a while at 65 degrees. it's 60 in oakland. san francisco partly sunny at 57. and san jose today with all the sun, you will be much warmer than you were yesterday and even warmer still by another five to seven degrees for tomorrow. we have a heat advisory in effect for monday. 63 santa rosa, 68 by the delta. it's been sunny all morning long here. and we are looking at sunshine now up in napa, 59 degrees. anywhere from a degree to six degrees warmer than you were 24 hours at this time yesterday. and we have warmer air at the surface, finally mixes down from the upper levels, i should say. that's what is going to allow for the warmup today. it will be foggy at part of our beaches. so san mateo coast you aren't going to see a lot of sun there. but it will be mild. you will get a few peaks of sun. mid-60s. and the heat advisory includes the inland east bay. the bay shore, parts of the peninsula in the higher elevations of the north bay where we could see the risk of heat row related incidences from tomorrow afternoon through the evening. a requestic transition from the cool down to the warmup and the national weather service issued the heat advisory for one day. the big dome is pushing in over the state of california. and that will allow for the warmth today. but take a look what happens as we go through your tuesday. the subtropical moisture from an old hurricane is already being pulled up into southern california for muggy weather today. then by tuesday in the afternoon we could see some hours here from the peninsula the south bay. certainly in the sierra nevada. cloudy skies around much. the bay and the strong storms are likely once again from the northern to the southern sierra on tuesday maybe into wednesday. so things really changing around here. 97 in fresno. 77 los angeles with upper 60s and some sun for monterey. 101 in chico. it will be warm statewide today. here's livermore. 99 tomorrow. that's why we have the heat advisory. then a bit of a cool down comes tuesday and wednesday just to warm up by the end of the week. 72 richmond, 84 napa,, 7 santa cruz. mid-80s san jose. the accuweather seven-day forecast near 100-degree heat tomorrow and cooler, a steadier breeze around the bay. and then we will bring in extra cloud cover. maybe some isolated showers come tuesday into wednesday.
