Police sources confirm marleau suffered 40 stab wounds friday morning. Authorities have arrested her nephew for the murder and friends are absolutely horrified by this violent crime. Abc7 news Alyssa Harrington has the story. Marla zamora was a force of nature. Maria tearfully remembers her friend, marlo zamora, who police say was killed by her own they nephew. The women worked until until she retired in 2007. For me in particular, she was the only role model i had as a latino woman at the public defenders woman. She took me under her wing. We dont know what happened between zamora and her nephew. Neighbors said they heard yelling and saw her bloodied in the backyard. She was stabbed many times. Police arrested her 20yearold nephew.
