Thanks, lisa. Were tracking developing news this morning out of oakland. Police in the Highway Patrol are investigating a shooting on the freeway involving a party bus. It happened around 2 30 at the eastbound interstate 80 and 880 interchange where drivers get off the bay bridge. Many windows were shot out by someone who drove by and opened fire. The bus driver pulled over at fifth and union in west oakland and called for help. At least one person was injured. At this time the extent of that persons injuries is unknown. The Highway Patrol is canvassing the freeway for shell casings and evidence. No arrests have been made. Well be sure to bring you more details as they become available. We also have developing news out of new york where a tug boat has overturn eed on the hudson river. About 25 miles north of midtown manhattan, one person has died. Two others are missing and five crews have pulled two people from the water. The tug boat was holding ferry workers who are constructing the new bridge span in new york. Developing news in san jose, police are investigating a double shooting that left one person dead. It happened last night at the bon miller restaurant on tully road in east san jose. Police say the victims were shot just before 11 00 p. M. Two men were taken to the hospital where one of them died. Investigators were called to the scene earlier this morning. And the shooter has not been located. Police say they are working on a description of the gunmen. Turning to our bay area storms, an enormous tree slammed into an Oakland Hills home last night damaging the home so badly its now uninhabitable. Trees are six feet in diameter and 80 feet tall. No one was home when it came crashing down just east of holy name university. It ripped down power lines as it fell, knocking out power to the neighborhood. Crews will work today to clean up the mess. There were also big problems in pacifica, take a look at this giant tree that fell on a house taking down power lines with it. Today demolition will begin on an Apartment Building sitting on a crumbling cliff. How crews are preparing and the new issues facing residents in this coastal community. Crews were prepping this site for demolition, two large excavators were brought in to begin ripping down. They have to tear the front of the building down first and deal with the back of the building with the long arm. You can see debris from 320 that tumbled down to the water below. Wind and rain also caused major trouble for residents of this pacifica home. A massive tree came crashing on top of it and knocked out power to the whole neighborhood. I came home about 4 00 and the power was out. I left and came back. And they wouldnt even let us up the street for an hour. From sky 7 hd we also spotted new trouble spots along the avenue. Residents of the bluffs apartment told us off camera the crane is part of a construction crew that has been on site for the last few weeks trying to shore up the cliff with cement and steel rods. Back at 320, a wind tunnel, the winds can get gusty to 50 miles an hour. Just last week they were clocked at 77 miles an hour and blew the roof off the southern portion of this building here and landed out in the street. Many waterways are swollen with more rainfall on the way. A bay area lawmaker wants more to have say how immigrants operate in jail. It would require public hearings before police and sheriffs departments can participate in deportation programs. City Council Members and county supervisors would have to sign off on any agreement. He says the bill would ensure that immigration authorities comply with a state law that limits deportation hold requests by local police departments. Its very exciting to see the dam fill up like it has. Reporter this view from sky 7 hd shows Stevens Creek reservoir is close to capacity. Others arent quite as fortunate. Lexington at 44 and anderson, the valleys largest isnt faring much better at 51 . Overall the ten reservoirs in the south bay at 56 of capacity as of friday afternoon. While water in the reservoirs is at least visible, ground water supply levels are currently low. We dont know whats going to happen next year. This would be one decent year followed by several dry years. Reporter Officials Say despite the rain, conservation efforts still need to be taken seriously. Until were fully recovered and our ground water levels and statewide reservoirs are back to normal, we should be still continue those good Water Conservation habits that we have adopted. Back at the reservoir, visitors take a moment to reflect. I took a few pictures and dont get to see that often. I lived here over 30 years and only get to see the creeks flowing this way when theres el nino type weather. Weve surpassed the march averages in San Francisco and we also have Daylight Saving time to look forward to this weekend with two more storms on way. The first one today is a one on the storm i am fact scale. Its a light one and will bring a burst of rain the afternoon in the north bay and Late Afternoon and early evening hours in the south bay and east bay with anywhere from a quarter inch to a half inch of rain.
