Investigators are searching for a possible arsonist after two fires were set in novato. This is not the first time the area has seen suspicious fires. Katie marzullo has the story. Investigators say both fires are suspicious, possibly the work of an arsonist. A few months ago, someone was intentionally starting fires in the north bay and that person is still on the loose. In june, 16 acres burned in tara linda, 60 homes had to be evacuated. In may, someone started 11 separate grass fires and two more in homes near novato. Now novato is hit again twice. Police added extra patrols and neighbors are ready and willing to do their part. Weve got to be more watchful. Maybe has seen something and comes forward. Developing news out of Southern California where three firefighters have been injuried are fighting a rapidly moving brush fire. Silverado fire started in the Cleveland National forest at 10 30 yesterday morning and charred more than 1600 acres. Dozens of homes evacuated. Fires fueled by steep high terrain. High temperatures today could make for tough quns for firefighters. From overnight, a manhunt is under way in pennsylvania after a state Police Trooper is killed and a second injured in a shooting at a police barracks. Marcy gonzales has the developments. New details this morning about a Police Shooting in San Francisco earlier this year. The San Francisco medical Examiners Office released the full autopsy report for alex nieto. It says he suffered as many as 15 gunshot wounds from ten bullets. Officers said he fired a taser at them. His body did not have any traces of the antipsychotic medications prescribed to him. He had a history of aggressive behavior including being placed on a psychiatric hold for attempting to burn his parents house dead. His death sparked protests by friends and family beginning with a federal investigation. A strange story on the peninsula. Someone is posing as a cop and hassling teenagers. Authorities are searching the california coast for a sailboat that may be carrying a 9yearold boy believed to have been abducted by his father.
