have it on our app. a truck that suddenly swerved into oncoming traffic caused a four-vehicle crash in the east bay. police say that truck hit a blue jeep and a silver car head on. the driver of the white monte carlo had nowhere to go, and ended up underneath the truck. investigators say the truck driver was not drunk and not texting, and it's unclear why he left his lane of traffic. the man who killed seven people in oakland in 2012, will likely spend the rest of his life in prison. juan goh pleaded no contest to attempted murder today. last week he was found memory competent to stand trial. his attorney says goh doesn't want to avoid responsibility for the crimes. >> for a long time he wanted to receive the death penalty in this case and that was in some part a deep confession of his guilt. he wants to tell the survivors and the family that he's deeply, deeply sorry about the didn't. there are no homes there, but the owner texted occasionally today, he found several cars and rvs with our temperature trend, 9:00 tonight it will still be quite mild, although we'll see a little cooling around the bay and off the coast. the day gets started with a very warm start, with mid to upper 70s, but cooler air is on the way, live doppler 7 shows a round of cooling clouds that will enter the bay area. three kittens are safe after being rescued from inside a boom lift. people in redwood city heard them crying for help. an animal rescue officer climbed under the machine and used a personal inspection camera to reveal three little kittens. they were dehydrated but were in pretty good shape. it appears that the kittens were in the machine for several days. will be kept at the spca until they're ready for adoption. a missing dog has gotten the attention of the alameda concord dropping into the mid 60s, but that's about as low as it's going to go. not much of a cooldown, if you want cool weather, you'll need to go somewhere near the coastline. it's still 68 at half features, hot inland again tomorrow, but cooling will begin at the coast tomorrow and cooling in all areas by friday. tonight low temperatures on the coast will be right around 50, you go over to the bay, you'll see lows in the mid to upper's. only into the mid 60s in many locations, mid 60s for our low, that's lisummertime highs in sa francisco. this second column represent tomorrow's record highs on the same day. concord will reach 92, which will break the existing high for that date. looks like san francisco, san jose and napa will come close to those highs, but probably fall a degree or two short. so i'm going to go to our projected highs, 91 in fearfield, 91 in santa rosa, we'll see 80 degrees in oakland, 77 in san francisco and down south 77 degrees in palo alto and in san jose. from hot to not in just two days, tomorrow we'll have very warm weather with highs in the upper 80s, but many locations in the bay area will see a dropoff in temperature from 21 to 31 degrees. but it will be a welcome cooldown, i'm sure, for those of us who are a little bit bothered by the weather. it will be hotter tomorrow inland. but notice a big cooldown on thursday and there will be further cooling on friday in all parts of the bay area, high temperatures will be about 20 degrees lower on friday than many locations tomorrow. that cool will last through the week. speaking of the weekend, 3:00 p.m., but when murphy was nowhere to be found at 5:00 -- >> that's when i knew somebody had stolen him. >> reporter: there's no way murphy could have gotten over this fence. but it's possible that someone who's been to the property knows how to get inside and take her dog. >> the only way someone would know that murphy is here, is that they have driven on by and have seen him. there is a gentleman who has come by and numerous times talked about the dogs and always talked about murphy because he is the nicer dog. >> jacobson hopes wherever she is right now, he's being treated well. >> i hope wherever he is is accepting him as a family pet. >> reporter: murphy is their mentor, a dog's dog who coaxes shepherd's out of their shells and helps ready them for adoption. >> all you do is look at murphy, that's the kind of dog he is. >> reporter: the alameda county sheriff's office says they're treating this as a theft. >> jacobson and her family are trying to put up a $10,000 reward for murphy's safe return. they're almost there, they've got about $9,000. president trump will sign off on the $75 trillion budget bill. both sides are claiming victory over the bill, democrats say it of you when that day comes. >> reporter: but the city says it could be a 10-year struggle to attach a bike path to the western span of the bridge, president meantime, it's great for recreation. >> i you do not need to wear spandex to ride a bike to work and that helmets do not mess up your hair. one of san francisco's most dangerous intersections for bicyclists is getting a safety upgrade. just about an hour ago, the board of the municipal transportation agency put up a potential bike lane from castro and the octavia on-ramp. the plan is put the path between the sidewalk and parked cars and normally be paying for gas. >> her bill went from $196, to $333 with sparks gas, mary says what the sales team did not tell her is that spark only provides the gas itself, pg&e still charges customers for delivering it. and when pg&e provides its gas, it's much cheaper than skparks gas, pg&e charges her an average of 42 cents per energy. >> they said well we can't control what p grg & for years of probation, and required to perform 10,000 hours of community service. we are deeply sorry. we failed our customers in san bruno. while an apology alone will never be enough, actions can make
