this afternoon in an effort organized by city council member, residents picked up fliers at fire station 8 here in san jose. the handout includes tips to help take action. >> raising awareness. people have soon something, they need to report it, and i think a lot of people haven't seen much going on. so people can see this face here and they can hopefully just be asquare -- aware and know who to call when they see something suspicious. our citizens' and firefighters lives at risk. something we can't stand for. reporter: here's a look at the sketch of the arson suspect that was put together by investigators using surveillance video from homes in these neighborhoods. the suspect was spotted at a home yesterday in video from the home -- from a neighbor's home. that suspect was going back and forth to that home. that's why he is considered a suspect, and that is why investigators want to talk to the man in the sketch. now, the local fire union is also putting up a $10,000 reward to help catch the suspect. reporting live in san jose, abc7 news. in palo alto today federal investigators swarmed over a house where people died in a fire last thursday. the garages foul chemicals and plastic jugs. crews were prevented from going on to the property yesterday because the garage needed to be aired out. the two victims are believed to be man and his care taker. their names are expected to be released tomorrow. now to that big win in charlotte. the 49ers were victorious today, taming the panthers and setting a stage for a conference showdown in seattle a week from today. >> an off-duty san francisco police officer hayes been placed on administrative leave after shooting a driver she got in an accident with. both drivers pulled into a gas station on jerald avenue and that's when the two began arguing. the officer shot the other driver in the leg, the injury not considered life-threatening. the officer was not in uniform and was driving her own car. >> the organizers of fireworks show on lake tahoe face a lawsuit, claiming the fireworks shows violate the clean water act. the suit demands $5 million in fine from the visitor authority and the fireworks show producer. the authority says this is the first complaint in the 30 years it's held the shows. a state lawmaker wants to see undocumented immigrants become eligible for health benefits under cover
