officers telling us drivers called in and described seeing someone hanging out of a car window on 880 and shooting at another car. this was on northbound 880 in hayward. it was about 10:00 last night. just south of highway shot. but the passenger of the car being shot at was hit with glass. officers shut down the freeway for a bit so they could gather evidence and said they did find some shell casings. tey have reopened all lanes so the morning commute is fine. investigators say the two people being shot at all in their teens. they haven't released any information about the shooter. officers have not made any arrests. they haven't said what the possible motive could have been. this is the 92nd highway shooting in the past year and a half in the bay area. the second one this week.
