hayward, where amy hollyfield is live this morning. >> reporting more on the investigation and somewitn dess. >> reporter: yeah, drivers must have been shocked when they saw what was happening. chp officers telling us drivers called in and described seeing someone hanging out of a car window on 880 and shooting at another car. this was on northbound 880 in hayward. it was about 10:00 last night. just south of highway shot. but the passenger of the car being shot at was hit with glass. officers shut down the freeway for a bit so they could gather evidence and said they did find some shell casings. tey have reopened all lanes so the morning commute is fine. investigators say the two people being shot at all in their teens. they haven't released any information about the shooter. officers have not made any arrests. they haven't said what the possible motive could have been. this is the 92nd highway shooting in the past year and a half in the bay area. the second one this week. we asked if this one is possibly related to monday's shooting that happened on 880 in san us just too soon to tell. reporting live in hayward, amy hollyfield, abc7 news. >> the number staggering. only moments ago, british prime minister theresa may criticized trump. she spoke at a saying, quote, there's no equivalence between those who propound fascist views and those who oppose them. to be clear, she didn't criticize the president by name but said it was incumbent upon leaders to counter far right views whenever they hear them. >> thanks for bringing that to us. >> the regional director of the anti-defamation league in san francisco are criticizing the president this morning. san diego's republican mayor spoke at a commonwealth club event. he distanced himself from president trump as an act of terrorism. >> fire officials in san jose may release more information about the cause of a deadly fire at a mobile home park. chree people, including two the fire at golden wheel mobile home park yesterday afternoon. the victims are a grandfather and granddaughter, along with another girl. her relationship to the family hasn't been determined. a neighbor who lived behind the house on highway patrol investigating yet another freeway shooting this morning. this time, in hayward. >> when you look at the number of these shootings, it's now approaching 100. abc 7 news reporter amy hollyfield live for us at the chp office in hayward with more on this investigation. amy. >> reporter: hi, reggie. this is the 92nd bay area freeway shooting in the past year and a half. the second one this week. the chp tells us it is a high prtyrior f an end to these shootings, which are very dangerous and are inconveniencing drivers. here's a familiar picture that comes with these shootings. window shooting at another car. no one was shot, but the passenger was hit with glass. we asked if this shooting was possibly rel tedo happened on monday on 880 in san leandro. >> too early in the investigation to make any assumption that these shootings are connected in any way, shape, or form. at this point, we're turning this over to our investigative services unit. >> there were two people shot there, happened around 8:30 last night at webster street and east eagle avenue. the shooting victim was found inside an apartment. uc berkeley police investigating after a man att k attacked a woman, hitting her in the head with a large piece of wood. it happened monday just before 8:00 p.m. in the eucalyptus grove near the west crescent area. witnesses say the victim was arguing with the suspect. she was knocked doubt and taken to the hospital. police couldn't find the man who was last seen walking towards oxford street. >> a public memorial service will be held t morning inhi
