And police say that two men are dead and the shooter is in custody, and now that it is light out, a lot of the neighbors in this community have come out to look at this crime scene because many of them heard the shooting last night. Now, police say that this all began as an argument between two men and another person who lives on this block. Now, that argument escalated into a shooting, and Police Responded at 11 14 last night. When officers arrived, they found two men with gunshot wounds. Those men were pronounced dead at the scene. Then, police say that the shooter was that third person involved in the argument. One of the mens bodies appears to be in front of a house on birch street. Another appears to be in the intersection behind me. A neighbor heard the two gunshots that killed them last night. I heard two gunshots really rapidly, and i went to go check my backyard, back to my parents house, went to check it wasnt in my backyard or anything. And then my fiance calmed me down and said its probably just fireworks. This morning, when she went out to move her car, she realized it was not just fireworks. Instead, it was a double homicide. The police are investigating. Again, police say that the shooter was the resident involved in the argument. That shooter is in custody, being questioned right now. Police have not determined a motive, but they dont think this was a random act. Police say there is no threat to the public. Now, several blocks up birch street are taped off.
