Abc 7 news was in richmond as the suspect was taken to the police station. Hes accused of killing his exgirlfriend yesterday right in front of her two children. Reporter within the last half hour richmond detectives finished interrogating mcbride and transferred him to a van to be taken to jail. He blocked her car at a stop sign with his own, got out, and shot her in the chest while she was trapped in the drivers seat of her car. Two of her three children, both under the age of 10, witnessed the killing at 29th street and ream avenue. Officers received a ton of tips from the community leading them to sacramento. The founder of a mill Valley Private school has been charged with stealing more than a Million Dollars from that school. Kathleen mecca was arrested on embezzlement charges yesterday at her home in florida. She is accused of using money from the school for personal sps expenses between 2008 and 2015. Administrators found out the money was missing after mecca retired. She reached a settlement with the school and paid restitution, but some parents asked for a criminal investigation. Mecca faces up to five years in jail if convicted. In napa tonight, there are so many questions about a shootout between a man and police as they roll through a suburban neighborhood. Reporter an hour ago we were standing here saying we hoped to get in touch with the District Attorney here in napa about half an hour ago, she did come out. She did talk to us. Based on the evidence so far it appears that the shooting was justified, but the case is quite bizarre. Last january, a slide in san rafael sent mud and debris down the hill damaging a road in san rafael and covering part of this tunnel used by the sonoma marin area rail transit. Since then smart trains have stopped being tested through here while crews work to stabilize the lower part of that hillside along with some smaller slides in that canyon. We had a brief break in our testing where we were focusing on testing in the northern part of the alignment so it was an opportunity to get in, get this cleaned up and get out. Reporter the canyon is too narrow to allow the train to move through here while heavy equipment is being used. Crews have moved quickly placing bolts in place to secure the hill sides while covering them with a special mesh.
