Sources tell the team the fbi safe Streets Task Force arrested more than 20 suspected gang members in an operation last week and some of them may be responsible for the highway shootings along with other crim crimes, including guns, drugs and prostitution and attempted murder. Details will be announced at a News Conference tomorrow. It began last year with an investigation by Concord Police into increased Gang Violence in contra costa county. A battering ram, what a team of burglars used to break into a Fishermans Wharf photo and video shop there morning. Surveillance video shows a white van crashing into the store and you see the thieves attaching the battering ram to the back of the van and making the job that much easier. We are surprised to learn from the shop owner that they have unfortunately been hit several times so far this year. Weve also learned there is other shops across the city that have also gotten repeatedly hit. San Francisco Police investigators say theyve never seen this strategy before. This team of burglar as attached a pole to the white cargo van and used it as a battering ram to break into the store. How they got in is less of a concern to the store owner and staff. The number of times theyve been burglarized is a bigger deal. This is not the first time. It has been like five or six times for the last six months. Reporter the burglars made off with thousands of dollars of photo and video equipment this time. The man he called to fix the broken glass door told me off camera hes been really busy the last six months. Hes teams of technicians have been averaging five repair calls from commercial burglaries every week. In fact, one team was at a shop in hayes valley as well. It was broken into early on sunday morning, the second time in two months. The bike shop next door was also recently hit. The Police Response is very slow. They are already overwhelmed with so much already. He feels helpless. The police still havent found the people who stole thousands of dollars worth of items from their store. Marine mammal rescuers just told us a dolphins found stranded near the International Airport is unlike to be alive. They were over the mammal over the Airport Marriott Hotel this morning and this afternoon a rescuer was able to reach the dolphin for a possible rescue. This spaceys is really large and could look like a whale. The rescuers said it had not moved throughout the afternoon and was likely dead. A necropsy will determine the cause of death. And a twitter follower sent us this video of a dolphin swimming in circles, seemingly lost near sfo on saturday. Now it is unclear if this mammal was the same one stranded today. But it was in the same general area. A popular Restaurant Owner facing eviction is getting remarkable support from the people in the community who are determined to fight back. Cal fire said the fire tore through another 6,000 acres overnight and has now burned more than 67,000 acres destroying 57 homes in the process. The blaze started july 22nd with an illegal campfire at a state park. It is 50 contained. Full containment is not expected until the end of the month. Cal train received a green light to move forward with plans to electrify the line between San Francisco and the south bay. Cal train currently used diesel powertrains and an extra 113 million will come from california highspeed rail authority. Plans call for high speed bullet trains to share cal trains right away. The city of san mateo will get money to eliminate crossings that will help improve safety along the corridor.
