This morning the child at the center of an amber alert is back with his mother. Investigators with the San Francisco District Attorney office worked around the clock to get the little boy home. That home coming was an emotional scene and an abc 7 News Reporter Tiffany Wilson was there. Reporter the reunion started with a smile and then the mom disappeared into the backseat of this black car. A bottle of milk and then mother and son. She cradled him, he clung to her. She lifted him for a kiss. He snuggled on her shoulder. Could you sense her incredible relief. Her son was safe. Her son was home. Just happy tears. Happy tears. Reporter the mother was asked to read a statement on her behalf. This is every mothers nightmare. The hardest thing a parent has to go through is not knowing where their child is. Reporter and Law Enforcement and members of the media and everyone on social media helped spread the world. Thank you all in helping to get my son back. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Reporter it is a terrifying few days for the family. The dad allegedly refused to take him home. The court gave mom sole custody on thursday and that is when the San Francisco District Attorneys office got involved. When we looked into the case, we noticed that the father was engaged in erratic behavior and that concerned us. Reporter they issued an amber alert on friday afternoon sparking a statewide effort to find the 21monthold boy and he was recovered last night in los angeles and he is safe in his mothers arms. Tiffany wilson, abc 7 news. Developing news out of san jose where police were searching the area of bodie court and blossom hill road near oak grove high school. Officers were look for two men wanted for a robbery and assault with with a deadly weapon. The Police Spotted them last night. And they chased the subjects to the area and established a search perimeter. Well update you as soon as we hear back from san jose police. And developing news from the east bay where search crews will likely resume the search for a missing boater. Contra costa fire officials received a call yesterday around 5 30 about a boat capsizing near the pittsburg marina. A child fell from the boat into the water and the father jumped in to rescue him and the child was found but the father is unaccounted for. And the search was called off due to much dismay. They should look for him. And hes in there. And tomorrow is too late. That is what i think they should do. And not leave, like they are doing right now. Officials say the incident happened near Browns Island which is part of the region nall parks district. The Alameda County District Attorney is conducting an investigation after officers shot and killed an armed man in pleasant on. Three officers were responding to a 911 call about a family disturbance on Burgundy Drive when officers approached the home they say the garage door went up and a man with a gun was standing inside. The man walked towards the Officers Holding a firearm and pointing it in their direction. In response to one of our officers, he fired his duty weapon hitting the subject. The man died at the scene. His identity has not been released. The officers were not hurt. Police are not saying if the man fired his weapon and it is unclear what kind of family disturbance occurred. 5 05 is our time. A morgan hill man was rested after was arrested after police say he used a knife attack after screams came from the home of eduardo ramirez, they found him in the parking lot stabbing himg himself. When he wouldnt drop the knife, officers tased him. Others were found in the home and taken to the hospital. Police have not released details on the relationship between the suspects and the victims. San Francisco Police have uncovered the important clue of a case of a man missing for a week. Officers found the car belonging to the man. We are told his car was found striped in the bay view district. Reporter the family stands speechless in the spot where this mercedes was dumped on the davidson avenue and striped of everything, including tires. Police found it and impounded it. And now chis closest friends and family are scouring the bay view looking for answers and witnesses. Were looking for my missing brother. Reporter the homeless only noticed the car but not this man. On the corner. That is about it. Reporter chi disappeared last sunday afternoon. The 57yearold is a full time uber driver but didnt plan to work that day. And now a week without any word has left many fearing the worst. If someone carjacked him and took him somewhere and dumped his body that cant be found and then take his car and dumped it at another place. Reporter deputies went to chis house and took his laptop, ipad and toothbrush and razor and havent ruled anything out. Just have to keep the hope that he is in a good place and he is okay. There is nothing at this point that i could see that would indicate that he is in trouble. Reporter that is not what chis wife of 20 years thinks. Shes sure hes in trouble. Im waiting for him. This morning a train derailed through daly city and they worked through the night to get the track up and running. It damaged the train and nearby tack. Workers described what happened. Five crews and b. A. R. T. Police evacuated the passengers by having them climb down a ladder. Abc 7 news talked to them after they walked to the station. Believes the derailment was not the fault of the train operator. A u. S. Coast guard helicopter made an Emergency Landing in berkeley yesterday. Abc 7 news was at Cesar Chavez Park as they try to figure out how to get the chopper back to air station San Francisco. They ended up loading it on a flatbed. It had been responding to a call when a crew member smelled something burning and it was an auto pilot system failure. No one was hurt. New details have emerged about the situation on board an American Airlines flight that required military jets to escort the plane to hawaii. The fbi office in honolulu said the subject is a citizen of turkey who lives in santa monica. Passengers are praising the flight attendants. The crew used a drink cart to block the man from getting to the front of the jet. During fridays flight from los angeles to honolulu. He is pushing. Youre not going to open that cockpit door because if you do and they are armed, you might lose the whole airplane. Police took the suspect into custody when the plane landed. Eight teenagers have to be rescued from a roller coaster at six flags over texa one minute they were stranded in a storm in arlington early yesterday morning. Strong winds triggered a safetiy stoppage on the joker just after midnight. A rescue team using ladder trucks took three hours to free the students. No one was hurt but they were not happy about their experience. We didnt hear from anyone from six flags for probably 25 minutes. And by this time it was starting to rain really heavily. Six flags said the engineers are conducting a thorough inspection of the ride. Last month two dozen people were rescued after a similar incident at six flags maryland. In new york city, there are calls for more protective barriers on sidewalks following the deadly crash in time square. A city councilman will be drafting legislation to get more sidewalk fortification involved. One of those ballards stopped a car as it sped down the crowded sidewalk of time square. 18yearold alyssa elseman, a tourist from michigan, died. It is an emmy and hollow feeling. A bombsniffing canine from the bay area is helping to eliminate bullies in schools across the state. He is used to sniffing out bombs but he is taking a spin in the name of eliminating bullying. With more 80s today in oakland and hayward, it is going to feel good on monday because the breeze will get established and out of the 70s in San Francisco. By tuesday back in the 80s inland and well see a significant cool down after that. Highs today in the south bay look for 88 in santa clara. It was 89 yesterday in san jose so very little change. Same deal on the peninsula and redwood city and san mateo, you notice the fog along the coast and up in the north bay, upper 80s and low 90s and by the water in vallejo, a warm one at 90 and in the bay, 5 00 in the afternoon, 80 degrees in oakland. And 92 in livermore and tt the should be getting cool towards the overnight hours. The search for sierra lamar continued near morgan hill. The 15yearold disappeared five years ago on her way to school. Her body has never been found. We were near the reservoir yesterday as about a dozen volunteers returned to search. They are using information from the trial of lamars convicted killer garciatorres. Several search volunteers attended the trial this month. Lamar went missing in march of 2012. The penalty phase for the convicted killer continues tomorrow. Jurors who found garciatorres guilty this month will determine if he gets the Death Penalty or life in prison without parole. On friday lamars parents gave emotional testimony about their loss. San Francisco International airport believes a project to repave one of the runways will finish ahead of schedule. Abc 7 news was aboard an arriving flight yesterday morning while crews resurfaces one of the four runways. That work has been taking place on weekends an passengers have faced delays because of it. Officials at los angeles International Airport are trying to figure out how a jet collided with a service truck. Eight people were injured. The aero mexico flight was struck after landing. All eight victims were in the truck and their injuries are not lifethreatening. It overturned near a taxiway and there was no fire or spilled fuel. Low clouds and fog continues to advance and thicken up but it is just along the shoreline. But you have been warm around mountainview the past couple of days. 20 degrees above average. So once again in the upper 80s. And it is not until the middle of the week where you begin to cool down and then yes, eventually the 70s come back into play but still looking at the clear sky right now and the fog we do see will just be confined to the shoreline. So youll notice that the flag is blowing there and the winds will be just light. Maybe 10 to 20 Miles Per Hour and well be looking at that sea breeze at the coast and it will be comfortable.
