people were injured, one critically, in a shooting on san pablo avenue. it happened around 9:15 last night. you see the number of bullet casings littering the streets. two victims were immediately taken to hyland hospital. three other vick tanned ebe eventually arrived at hyland but with nonlife-threatening injuries. the search is underway for the gunmen. >> officers found one woman with a gunshot wound before 1:00 this morning. the woman was taken to the hospital where she later died. one man has been taken into custody. turning to politics. state republican party officials are hoping today's convention goes a little smoother than yesterday's. donald trump's presence led to five arrests outside the burlingame hyatt, while john kasich enjoyed an orderly reception. we have the story. environmental issue. >> we will work through groups that are already on the ground so there's a lot of voter-to-voter contact. >> here's an interesting note. more than 7 million californians are eligible to vote but have not registered. however that number is gradually changing. democratic registration is up 185%, while republican registration has jumped 63% since 2012. the deadline to friends and family gathered to pray for a couple who police say were murder by their own children. the two were shot to death, according to authorities. and this morning just released court documents are revealing what the couples did after their murder. abc7 news reporter katie marzullo has more. >> only 22-year-old appeared in front. the camera in the croom. the 17-year-old child was kept hidden in the hallway but he is being charged as an adult. >> both of them were charged with two counts of murder and a special circumstance allegation of double murder. >> from the charging documents we learned the brothers went to a convention in oakland on saturday. police say their parents were not shot to death that morning. after they were arrested wednesday, the brothers told investigators two different stories. one admitted he shot his father multiple times in the garage. twelve times says the da. but hasib said a stranger in the house assaulted him and made him do it. he said the strainer was the one who shot his mother. omar told investigators his older brother committed both murders and before they left for the convention he told him to check the garage door to make sure that blood was not seeping out. when police found the bodies sunday in their home on lucas court, they say there were messages written on the wall. we know one red sorry, my first kill was clumsy. the court document reveals there were two different handwriting styles. they compared the messages with note the books found in their bedrooms and found characteristics con skis tent with the younger brother's writing. they are both being held without bail. abc7 news a san francisco police officer has been arrested on suspicion of perjury and filing a false document. the officer is are -- accused of lying on an eligibility form. he's been suspended without pay. in the wake of the latest texting schedule, san francisco police chief ordered all officers to attend classes aimed at prevents acts of racism and homophobism. >> the police chief ordered sensitivity training class force out u. all 2,000 plus officers beginning next month. >> no one can say they didn't know what was and wasn't acceptable in the city. but it's been a windy week. and as a result today, we are going to follow that theme, 52 santa rosa. it's 660 in napa. look at the 61 there by the delta, as well as livermore. gusty winds out of the north and east really descending into the delta or east bay valleys. so you are feeling breezy winds there, and the temperatures, as a result, are warming up. just 51 in concord. the wind advisory above 1,000 feet until about 10:00. then the wind should dial back. still breezy around the bay. we could see gusts up to 45 to 50 miles an hour. you know that could bring down some powerlines. right now we talked about livermore up to 22 miles an hour. the delta, 33 miles an hour and less than that in oakland and actually mountain view has a north wind at 22. compared to yesterday we are 11 degrees warmer in livermore, napa is warmer, pretty much everyone. you minus the winds, winds, wine afternoon we will see numbers warm in the 70s and 80s. guststy winds this morning and warmer days for the weekend. still warm tomorrow but late in the day a southerly surge brings the stratus back to the coast. we look for the numbers today in the upper 70s san jose. that's about five degrees above average. the warmest kay out of the next seven will be tomorrow and monday still warm and look at the cooling trend. really gets underway by next week, cinco demayo, a few raindrops maybe. it will be windy in the sierra nevada today. 52 there. 67 in los angeles. hay surf. we are looking at temperatures today in the upper 70s from santa clara. it should be a nice day, notorious irs scam is still going strong but now predators are using another high-tech device to fool their victims. michael finney tells us about the new warning to watch out for. >> ali was at work when the call came on her cell phone. she was in big trouble. >> you have tax payments that need to be paid and there's a case against you. >> she didn't believe it so she googled the 800 number and it really was an irs phone number. >> he said there's about $17,000 that you owe. >> the man told her to pay up or she would be arrested immediately. >> you would be in prison for two years. >> i said i had need to speak to someone. >> she had doubts. >> a google search found the number belongs to the santa clara police department. a cop was calling? >> it was pretty serious. we asked the irs to have arrest warrants against her. >> she agreed to cooperate. of the man stayed on the phone as she drove to the bank and then to walmart where she wired him $1800 but it wasn't enough. >> they said your file is still under review. we are seeing quite a few penalties. >> the man told her to wire another 1900. next day more demands. she wired money 8 times in all totaling $16,000, wiping out her bank account, her sister's too. >> in two days i was so stressed out i just couldn't think straight. >> the demands kept coming. she couldn't take it anymore. >> i told my sister i'm going to go in. >> she drove to the santa clara police department and turned herself in. ready to go to jail. >> i had no choice. >> that's how she learned the truth. >> they told me this is is an irs scam, and you fell for it. >> police told her they never called. neither did the irs. scammers had used a cloning device to make those numbers appear to be on her caller i.d.. she and her sister had no money for food or rent. friends started a gofundme campaign to help but she wanted me to warn you. >> this could happen to someone else. >> here's the lessen. voice over internet phones can be be manipulated to falsify a caller i.d. number. it's been used in other scams too. if you get a suspicious call, don't assume the caller i.d. is the real number they are calling from. call the agency or company directly to find out for yourself. and remember, the irs will never call and threaten to arrest you if you don't pay up. i'm michael finney, 7 on your side. >> those weren't pennies from heaven francisco. mountain view 50, half moon bay. you see the wind there. it's going to be a beautiful day once the winds do subside. and with the winds we are already in the 60s for fairfield, livermore and napa. but it is breezy. so you will have the breezy winds throughout the morning hours. in fact, right now we are looking at the winds anywhere from calm around san carlos to around 33 miles an hour an you are hour. it will be a gusty in some spots before 1 thousand feet but elsewhere we will warm up nicely into the 80s. >> developing news out of kenya where search and rescue teams are work being frantically to find survivors in the rubble of a collapsed apartment building in nairobi. it was a six story building. 7 are dead, 121 survived the collapse with varying injuries, including a baby. there have been heavy rains in the area but it's too soon to say why the building fell. a town in eastern texas has been declared a local disaster area after a tornado destroyed buildings and homes. take a look at this. crews are searching through several homes in lyndale after getting calls that people were trapped inside. powerlines are down throughout the town and fallen trees are block something of the roadways, forecasters say there will be severe thunderstorms in eastern texas gone today, bringing another chance of tornadoes. now to the bomb scare at a baltimore television station. man who net end an explosion is recovering in the hospital and facing charges. abc news reporter pierre toms has more about the man. >> the moment chilling. a man dressed in bizarre costume parades into the lobby of baltimore's fox 45 tv station. ripping open his jumpsuit he has what appears to be a suicide bomb vest. he takes on a flash drive and threatening to blow himself up if the station does not air it. swat teams moving in. the suspect was shot several times. new images. the potential suicide desk, please with wires, a circuit board and packets that look like plastic explosives. but look closely. the packets only contain chocolate bars and police are able be to take the wounded suspect to the hospital. seen here, the suspect indentifying as 25-year-old alex breezy. a grieving father said in recent days his son's mental state have had been unraveled. >> he just broke up with his girlfriend. looks like he's had a mental breakdown. >> abc news, washington a russian fighter plane flew dangerously close to an american reconnaissance plane in the rush san sea. earlier this month russian attack planes buzzed a guide the missile destroyer uss donald cook. the pentagon is calling it unsafe and unprofessional. one military official said the russian pilot did a barrel roll over the top of the american aircraft, closing in within 100 feet. the u.s. released footage showing an airstrike in iraq. the pentagon said the target was an isis weapon storage facility and car bomb exactly. of the operation was carried out alongside iraqi security forces and was meant to support eventual offensive or a place under isis control. and one more military note. the senate confirmed air force general lori robinson as the new head of the u.s. northern command. that livermore. 10 degrees napa. and on the peninsula about 35 degrees warm he were. al pat, mountain view for degrees warmer. we have the warm weekend on tap. we lose most of the wind tomorrow but we will get the stratus coming back. late in the day the southerly surge will bring up some breeze city winds along the coast. so the coast will be cooler for your sunday. and speaking of the winds, i talked about that windshear possibility at the airport. so throughout the day today notice we are looking at the winds all day long there. over25 miles an hour from 11:00 right through the afternoon. so even though the numbers are going to be up in some of the coastal areas, it will be breezy. 68 half man bay. 70 ocean beach. 76 santa cruz, monterey in the 60s. mild to warm, depending on where you are. fast forward into wednesday. we could see a few light showers and then that's about it. whether or not that verifies, we will keep you posted. in and around the bay today we will see 84 in concord. 79 in san jose. 76 around san mateo. 78 in richmond. 79 in san rafael. if you are headed over to oakland this afternoon, the astros, we are looking at temperatures in the mid-70s 1:00, upper 70s 4:00 in
