He was supposed to be due december 26th. He was supposed to be a christmas baby. But he was born on august 27th. 24 weeks. Reporter jaden was just 1 pound 2 ounces when he was born at a Central Coast hospital and immediately, blanca was confronted by a gutwrenching choice. I was told he only had a 30 chance of survival. And i was asked at the time if i wanted to let him go. Because he was so critical, but i refused. Reporter boy was transferred to Lucile Packard Childrens Hospital in stanford, suffering from breathing trouble and bleeding in his brain, complications of premature birth. He was critically ill, but it wasnt that many ago that babies that the able wouldnt survive. Reporter today, jaden still needs some oxygen and a feeding tube but his doctor says the infant is thriving and could be home by christmas when he was supposed to make his grand entrance.
