and basically murdered. >> happening now, relatives are grieving and neighbors are outraged after an elderly south bay woman dies weeks after she was the victim of a home invasion robbery. flo douglas was in the hospital since last month's home invasion robbery and beating. she died early this morning. there could be new charges against the man accused of attacking her. cornell bernard is live with the story. cornell. >> the sheriff's department says the suspect could be facing a charge of murder her family tells us she lost her brave fight for life very early this morning. >> our hearts are broken. >> grief striken relatives heart broken. >> we're upset our aunt and loved one was subjected to a brutal beating and murdered. >> she was severely beaten inside her east san jose home 19-year-old zachary cuen who lived in the same neighborhood was arrested for the crime now facing a new charge. >> we support him being charged with murder. we're proceeding as a murder investigation. about 40 miles south of charleston south carolina. it continues to bring shields of wet weather to the coast. matthew still a category one hurricane. winds about 75 miles per hour. these intense yellows, oranges and reds, right along the coastline bringing heavy rainfall. look at estimated rainfall the past # 24 hours, some spots, over a foot of rain has fallen, other spots, 6 inches to 9 most popular event. you probably heard or saw the planes soaring through the skies. the air show ended just a few minutes ago. sergeo? >> it was a beautiful day to be out along the water and the embarcadero. the high flying stars, the blue angels, they wrapped up their show and most of the city got a glimpse of their high and low flying acrobatics. the best spot for the best view was along chrissy field at fisherman's wharf. it's been an afternoon long aerial performance by a number of pilots. the blue angels took to the skies at about 3:00 this afternoon, and for some, that's the highlight of the afternoon. >> i'm from san diego, i've seen the planes, the blue angels a couple times. i'm pretty excited to see it in a new city, see what it's all abo about. >> that's a lesson we landed after it flew in front of a man's car deputies and firefighters worked carefully to dislodge the eagle from the grill. a wildlife sanctuary is now caring for that eagle. warm temperatures, hurricane me out of all hurricanes was going to come and ruin our one weekend of the year that was special. how a man named matthew didn't let the storm crash his plans. the false we begin with breaking news now in san francisco, the fire department has confirmed that a boat has capsized near pier 45 with about 30 young people on board. some reportedly trapped under the hull, a coast guard boat and helicopter are enroute, divers are also on the way. we now have jeriann fleres on the scene. what do you see out there? >> i see a lot of police officers running around, there were a couple in the wet suits with boogy boards going out on to the water, there's a police boat out in the water, there's several helicopters, rescue helicopters going down into the wat water, i saw several young people coming out on to the dock with blankets around them, so luckily there's some good people that are getting off the boats. it's just, everyone is working together to get these kids safely back home. >> jeri ann, how far from the shore is it this boat? >> from where the helicopters are going down, it's on the other side of the big long expanse of buildings, so i really can't see. it's right off the shore, right close near the shore. >> i see the helicopters, they come, and then they go down, and they leave, i'm not exactly sure -- i don't see them go into the water where i am. i'm at death toll stands at 10 after hurricane matthew dumped torrential rains and unleashed winds along the atlantic seaboard. floodwaters rushed into some homes in the middle of the night, and now families face a massive cleanup effort. >> i have been mopping, my oldest son has been mopping. we've been mopping since the water came in. >> some people like this man in charleston, south carolina, defied warnings to stay indoors. >> it's still a serious situation and we are not out of the woods, i know the storm is starting to pass certain areas. all areas remain dangerous that we have to be cautious with. >> winds knocked out power and sent large objects flying along streets. >> we're now getting a clearer picture of the storm's destruction. some estimates put it at nearly 900 killed so far david wright went along with the u.s. military as they delivered aide to the country. >> we hopped on board a u.s. army chinook headed toward haiti, an entire region walloped by matthew. >> the storm knocked out most of the roads and bridges, for now, the only way to some of the hardest hit areas is with the u.s. military. >> the tin roof shacks below no match for 145 mile an hour winds. every house, every palm tree flattened. haiti is already the poorest country in the western hemisphere, now, the people have lost what little they had. look what the waves did to this house, the sea washed everything away. this region is the bread basket of haiti, the damage could have a ripple effect through the rest of the country the people here scraping by. their immediates are immediate. the death toll keeps rising, among the relief supplies, boxes of food, buckets and treatment kits for fresh water, plus tarps, plenty of them. thousands will be homeless. >> that was the first dropoff of relief get married. >> rain on your wedding day may be good luck, when it's torrential downpours? howling winds and emergency evacuations, that good luck could be a disaster. >> we were so excited for this d ferris reporting. firefighters in marin county have joined forces to put out a vegetation fire. this is a picture from the marin county sheriff's office showing the drake fire. it started in the 800 block of sir francis drake boulevard. no immediate threat to structures, cal fire is attacking from the air as you see the helicopter doing right now. the marin county units are doing the best they can to protect the property next to the place. place say they have extra officers on duty. blue angels and sfpd are focused on keeping today's spectacle peaceful. >> a man had a gun inside a hotel at fisherman's wharf last night. the gun turned out to be a toy, but police took it very seriously, until they determined there was no danger. it's a football catch everyone's talking about, some are calling it it the catch of the year, next on abc 7 news. in accuweather, october warmth to start off the weekend, we are tracking the chance for a little bit of wet weather, when in the accuweather forecast coming up. back to our breaking news in san francisco. san francisco fire department confirming a boat capsizing near pier 35. 30 juveniles were on board, some trapped under the hull. these are some pictures from the scene. this is near pier 45, you can see the fire response. also police officers on the scene right there, there are boats in the water, coast guard helicopters are enroute as well, trying to get those kids out of the water. we understand from a witness we talked to a few minutes ago, she saw some young people who were aboard that boat coming down the pier with blankets on. once again, police and fire were on the scene as well as coast guard helicopters, they have aerial, boats in the water and people on land all trying to get these kids out of the water. the number we're hearing is up to 30. we have video from the scene as well. we're hearing 30 kids were on that boat when it overturned near pier 45. lots of people there, lots of response from police there's ambulances, firefighters there, stretchers if need be divers were also put into the water to search that vessel see if anyone was left inside. as we get more information, we'll bring that to you lisa is on her way there, she'll have the latest coming up for you on abc 7 news at 11:00. in florida, a teenaged football player made a catch that's catching fire on line jeanne moos shows us the bobble of the year. >> there are more unusual things to catch than a football. when a crowd walking member of a dutch band caught and drank a beer. or when a dad sat his son on the luggage counter at an airport in poland. >> there's a baby where he should not be. the father -- oh, there he is. >> at least jaden wilson didn't bobble a baby. the youth football league in wellington florida tried a little razzle dazzle, then passed to jaden, watch him bobble behind his back, on his knees, on his feet. baubles again, an unforgettable catch, right? >> i don't really remember the play. it was juveniles on board. fears are, that some are trapped under the hull. we have pictures from the scene to show you. you see ambulances on the scene. lots of police response there. we heard from a witness that we talked to a little while ago on the phone, that some of the kids had been brought out of the water wearing blankets. divers are going into the water to see if there could be any more
